I’ve gone through some fight sticks over the years and I’ve built a couple as well, but this is one of the cleanest designs in a hot minute.
The handles on the bottom, the cable management, the USB-C slot is reliable to boot! The easy access on the bottom is great and swapping buttons is pretty effortless. I’ve been using some Seimitsus over the Sanwa buttons, and it was easy to swap out. If there were any gripes, it’s really the price. They built this with the intention of building one of the best sticks in the market, and it shows. If you’re new to fighting games, you’re honestly better off starting with a Hori Fighstick Alpha which has ease of use for modding and you can even add custom art. This was made specifically for people who want to take things a bit more seriously with the hobby, and it definitely pays off in the looks, feel, and quality of it all.

The order I received actually came to me in an incomplete/gutted state, but it was sealed up properly. The outer box came in a plastic bag, the USB-C cable inside was still in a plastic bag, but as soon as I got down to the included cinch bag that surrounds the stick itself, I found that it had no lever installed and seemingly cheap, off-brand buttons. There was not even a ribbon cable for a lever to be installed inside, and based on unboxings I’d seen on reviews around the web, the internals was completely missing some of the premium features like the thick purple cable sleeves.
I don’t think this was Best Buy’s fault, I’m convinced this was shipped to me in brand-new state, but I’m pretty sure that the manufacturer shipped this in a poor state due to lack of QA.
Thank you for the easy return, Best Buy!
For the premium price, I’m gonna pass on trying to order a second one… I don’t think that’s an acceptable error to encounter at this tier of product. Maybe Best Buy should audit their inventory to make sure not too many additional units are sitting in their warehouse in this state?
