I needed another fast mid-focal length lens for use on a B-cam (or handheld on A-cam sometimes) and this one is great. Works as well as can be hoped in low light on the GH5, super handy focal length.
Smurf –
The lens work amazing. Gives the lumix camara the extra 4k crisp look for the live streaming.
Biggnorth –
This is a great, inexpensive portrait lens for my gx85 and g85. I highly recomend it.
Oscar –
Using it with my Olympus EM5 MkIII. Simple to use. High aperture allows for good night photos without a flash. Good autofocus, also has the option for manual focus.
ben17 –
a 50mm is the only lens you’ll only need. Gorgeous quality and the tech is so cool coming from lesser cameras.
Rivetcounter –
New to mirrorless I stared with Meike lenses which don’t have auto zoom. I had scooped up their entire line. A bit frustrated with not having auto focus I picked up this little guy. It works great. But it’s not a high end lens so bear this in mind. If your intention is to run and Gun then this is an essential item to have in one’s kit. So. Stop reading this and buy it.

Pretty decent lens. I guess it all depends on the look, you’re looking for. Good enough for me.
edmerckx99 –
Nice light and fast lens. Can’t be beat for the money.
Carlos –
I bought this lens not knowing that it works with auto focus. This is a nice feature. It is a basic lens for my needs as an amateur.
Levizzzle –
Awesome lens for the price, stay in my run and gun bag!
maleman719 –
Well packaged, lens works great.
Nice entry level lens for my new 4/3 camera!
Koikang4u –
This is nice Len for taking portraits for a beginners who’s not too savvy with cameras. Only complaint is zooming other than that. It’s a good Len.
margorud –
Good lens but not super sharp, it has some noise so I returned it
PeteR –
tl;dr – good price for low f-stop but photo sharpness is spotty
Been using the lens to take flower pics – though I expect a prime lens (fixed focal length) to shoot better than a zoom but it’s not working out that way. Pic #1 was shot with the 25mm lens – the center has more detail but the some petals are blurred. Pic #2 is taken with the zoom that came with the camera – the whole flower is sharp but not as close detail. So, a good lens to get as an open-box discount
Tima –
Must have for your Lumix. Good depth of field and reasonable.
Bobby –
The lens has a nice bokeh blur, especially down at 1.7, but the autofocus does take a bit of time to take action. Also putting on the lens hood requires using a little force.

This has been my go to product photography lens since purchase. The wide aperture gives you great background separation, autofocus works well with a Panasonic camera, and manual focus is a fine experience as well. At 25mm, it gives you the “nifty fifty” look of full frame. Highly recommend, especially on sale or open-box. Pictures shown were taken with the lens.

I’m an amateur and I wanted a nifty 50 lens and this is perfect. The price is right and i like the pictures I take with it.

Qtaro –
Good compact lense for street photography. Perfect if you want to go with a lightweight camera
RunningProfessor –
A great lens to achieve that bokeh effect with a wide aperature! If you find it on sale its definitely a great budget friendly lens with great potential. Super light weight and a nice addition to expand your lens collection.
Jerry –
Great optics and price on a lens of a basic aspect ratio that was missing from my collection. The relatively large aperture and Panasonic autofocus capability add value. Glad I made this purchase.
LandonW –
Fantastic lens. Great for any kind of shooting!!!

The Panasonic LUMIX G 25mm f/1.7 is a must-have for any photographer looking to upgrade their gear. The lens is compatible with mirrorless micro four thirds cameras, making it a tiny versatile option for a wide range of cameras. The f/1.7 aperture provides stunning bokeh and low-light capabilities, making it a great option for capturing beautiful images even in challenging lighting conditions. The compact design and stylish black finish make it easy to carry and a great addition to any photography kit. I highly recommend this lens to anyone looking for a high-performing and reliable lens for their mirrorless micro four thirds camera.

This lens is sharper than the kit lens that came with my sony a7iii. The f1.7 is super nice. Manual focus ring feels good; not too tight, not too loose. The size of it on my g100 allows me to have that in my coat/sweatshirt pocket when I’m shooting with my sony. VERY happy with this impulse buy.
AlexL –
Good lens at a good price. great for kicking around the city and capturing those moments. A very good nifty fifty equivalent for my Lumix GX9
4Drums –
What a great lens that keeps my street photography unobtrusive while providing clean shots even in the darkest conditions. This was a fun addition!
GusVal –
I wish the kens was flatter but its very compact and ive always used a 50mm on my old film cameras that i had in the pass, i always used a minolta x700 with the 50mm and the other digital cameras with the 50mm canon RP and like the focal length very much, but still the size for a mirrorless camera its very big, since 2012 i bought the olympis om d em5 and sold it a few years ago to use RP but the size, feel and weight isn’t ideal for a mirrorless camera, thats what its all about size, feel and weight, so i bought again an Olympus omd em1 mark i, why i like the way the screen folds up 180° and use it by the waste i feel like am using a Hasselblad c50 camera love the way it feels in the hand,.
JohnA –
a excellent lens for the price even includes a lens hood very sharp and fast
user710433 –
An amazing lens, and helped give me an idea. Of other lens I’d want to buy. And thanks to Best Buy it arrived within 1 day of my purchase. Which is super cool.

VanessaM –
I love this panasonic lens, its really useful and essy to use.
NicoleA –
I like the bokeh effect this lense gives, you easily get the focus on the main object you want and get a blurry background and I love the effect
NoelM –
A very compact and light lense. Reasonably sharp lense with fast and quiet focus. I use it in low light situations. Very good for the price I paid for.
Lance –
This lens is really good for the price point especially if the item is on sale.
WillD –
This was my first prime lens, and it is the perfect starting focal length. The “nifty fifty” is really a thing! This lens is great quality, and has quickly become my favorite lens to use.
pranksamz187 –
Fantastic Lens. Great image quality all round. Recommend
KyleB –
The 25mm is the nifty-fifty in M4T. Always a must in every camera bag. Sharp focus, nice bokeh. Small light weight. Perfect for travel.
I have a Sony full frame and boy the weight difference is big.
AndrewC –
Love the functionality of it, it gets the job done in a variety of ways
IanH –
Exactly as sharp and clear as I had read about. I needed a good prime lens with autofocus, and this really can’t be beat for the price.
JPal75 –
Nice bokeh, sharp stills, color is great. 50mm full frame equivalent. Light and pretty well built
