The Panasonic 1.2 Cu ft Microwave Oven With Cyclonic Wave Inventer is a powerful cooking device. Once I placed food inside and turned it on, my surge protector shut off after fifteen seconds. I had to move the Panasonic 1.2 Cu ft Microwave Oven With Cyclonic Wave Inventer to its own separate 110 volt outlet. It heats food quickly and thoroughly. There are many ways to program it to reheat, cook, keep warm, and defrost food. The high wattage of the Panasonic 1.2 Cu ft Microwave Oven With Cyclonic Wave Inventer is able to thoroughly perform all the many functions necessary to make a cook happy with the results.

    BUILD QUALITY

I think it’s got a sturdy build quality. This one is in all black with a mix of metal and plastic. The dimensions are vert comparable to any 1.2cu ft over the counter microwaves. It however has got a smaller footprint but a good 1.2 cuft inside space.

    USAGE

So this is a countertop microwave and it includes a turntable inside. The difference between other countertop microwave is the innovative inverter technology which makes sure that the food is evenly cooked. I was able to test this out by microwaving my frozen lean cuisines and also coffee. Typically on these microwaves, the middle portion of the frozen dinner is always cooked lesser as compared to the side. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the cooking is every even. I was also able to use the sensory cooking feature to cook my frozen dinner and I think its a cool feature. Just that it takes time to memorize the number for each of the items but it has a clearly laid out instructions.

I also was able to look at the coffee milk feature. Typically in the other microwaves only the top portion of the liquid is very hot. In this microwave the liquid cooks evenly!

It also has a quick 30 sec feature which I think is pretty good for slightly warning a drink or water.

Overall I think it s a good microwave and Panasonic is a good reliable brand.

  3. EXWOLF

There isn’t much you can say about a microwave other than it gets the job done and it gets the job done quickly. I have owned an older Panasonic microwave that would heat up my food in 3 minutes at a power level of 10 and now this microwave will heat up the same food in half the time. There are a lot of neat features included for presets of certain food types that all work as intended. The size isn’t too big nor too small and its very easy to clean. The price is a little steep for a microwave but I’m very happy with how well my food is cooked or warmed up.

  4. MommyMay

Let me start off by saying it has been a few years since I owned a microwave because I was just tired having one and how the food turns out so I have been using a toaster oven the past few years instead.
This microwave is actually pretty darn good. I like that it gives you a recipe on how to make an omelet and how to cook vegetables and other cool little dishes. I tried the the omelet recipe and it turned out pretty good for a microwaved omelet. I cooked broccoli and it turned out perfect. Not too soggy, but not undercooked either.
We have popped popcorn and it pops every single kernel. In older microwaves that I have owned, there is always kernels left at the bottom of the bag, which is such a waste. This microwave pops them all and it doesn’t come out burnt. It actually comes out pretty perfect.
It’s also very light weight and easy to clean. I love how it has specific instructions on how to defrost, sensor cook, reheat, etc. I keep the instructions right by the microwave so I always have the information I need right at my fingertips. I’m really impressed at how this microwave works that I would totally recommend it.

  5. BBReviewer

This beautiful black 1200 watt microwave is nice. My last microwave had a combination of black and stainless and showed every fingerprint. I’m not going to miss those fingerprints! Also, this microwave is metallic gray inside. I’ve never seen that before, always having white. It took a minute to get used to that… There is a light, but it’s still darker in there. But the look is cool.
This microwave has an easy open door with just an easy press and it also closes easily – no slamming necessary. It has 11 power levels, with level 0 being a keep warm function, and it has a few preset quick prep buttons. It’s easy to use with the included guide. One nice feature is the “add time” button which very simply allows you to add extra time within 1 minute after the timer stops. The settings stay the same and you can even open and close the door. Say you’re reheating something. You have it at power 6 and the timer stops. You open the microwave door and is not quite hot enough… Stir, close the door press the “add time” button and the time your want to add and start. No need to reset your power level. It saves a step. I won’t be using the “more” and “less” buttons and honestly, I can’t figure out they work. I’m not concerned. The microwave works great without that. 😉 It has the expected turntable which fills the microwave bottom.
Overall, it’s a basic microwave that doesn’t show fingerprints and just works very well. I recommend this. Oh, and it’s well-made and lightweight!

  6. Olive

This microwave has Panasonic Inverter Technology for a good price and size. The controlling panel seemed less intimidating to switch over from our old one, over ten years old from another company. This new one is smaller and lighter with the same interior space. It is more powerful and yet quieter during the operation. The door opens and closes very smoothly and quieter. We also like softer and shorter beeps better than the older one’s piercing longer beeps. If it had a silencer setting, we would like it better. Overall, great microwave! Cooks well and I like the option to cook popcorn based on the size of the bag. That means you’ll get a perfectly popped bag every time. The only down side is the microwave doesn’t list the shortcut button menu on the unit. You have to go into the manual in order to cook a potato for instance. This might not seem important but you’d be surprised. Who wants to take chances when warming a cup of coffee or a muffin? Those food items need exact timers to ensure they won’t be too hot when they finish reheating. Nobody wants to keep checking the manual to remember the timers for those items when you’re rushing out to work. The inverter technology helps with cooking the food evenly.

  7. dronedad

If I’m being honest, microwaves are NOT a platform for significant innovation, I was skeptical at first of the extra cost involved in the sensor cooking technology. It was definitely worth the time involved to read the manual to understand how it worked and how to enter and interpret cooking times.

If you’ve ever been frustrated by defrosting meat too long or an overcooked / burned bag of popcorn, this technology is for you. The easiest way I think to explain it is that it’s a form of convection cooking.

Well made, black outer material that is farily fingerprint resistant.

For anyone in the market for a new Microwave, this is the first innovation I’ve seen in this market, pretty much ever, and it does make a difference in how it cooks.

  8. TheTruQ

Microwaves have become a staple of nearly all kitchens. Most homes even have spaces or openings designed into the cabinetry to account for them in a space-saving way. There are cases where a counter-top microwave is needed. This Panasonic counter-top microwave is a perfect solution for such cases. For us, it served as the perfect small office compliment, preventing trips to the kitchen when warming snacks.

Pulling the Panasonic microwave from the box, the first impression is plain-Jane. It doesn’t look fancy in any way but would easily blend in most kitchens. After a quick glance at the buttons, I immediately took a look at the size of the heating chamber – checking the size. Panasonic did a good job in this regard. The chamber is much larger than most counter-top microwaves. It can easily hold a large plate or dish.

There isn’t much fan fare with regards to a microwave, unless it has some extraordinary features. This microwave’s functionality falls under the pretty standard fare. All the normal functionality is there: timed cooking, power levels, time add, etc. There are a couple of interesting options included as well: a coffee/milk warming option, and a 3-level popcorn button. The predefined modes work very well, producing the desired heat level and results consistently. Whether reheating, popping popcorn, defrosting… It gets the job done, consistently. Powered by 1200 watts, it has a decided advantage over most of its competitors, which usually are between 800 and 1000 watts by comparison. The higher wattage leads to more consistent and thorough heating and cooking. This microwave isn’t quiet, but I don’t think it’s the loudest I have ever encountered either.

Overall, this Panasonic microwave is a good buy. It is feature adequate, larger than the average counter-top microwave, and very consistent. It’s not the quietest microwave, but it isn’t extremely loud. The size and warming/cooking consistency make this a can’t miss.

  9. DAHinAZ

The Panasonic 1.2 cf Microwave is an attractive, counter-top unit. It was packaged well and had a great instruction booklet.

Controls are easy to read. Nice having 1200 watts as it cooks food quickly. Only downside to this unit was the 1.2cf … a little small for cooking large items.

The unit is quiet in operation. I like the “keep warm” option.

    A nice unit for a $200 microwave!

  10. KaneM7

Got this for the office use – so far its been great!!

Size is perfect for heating up lunch and leftovers!

Appearance is simple but functional – I’ve not had to explain the operation to anyone and there have been no issues reported. The front is flat and elegant.

The even hot spot has been fantastic! Just pop in your food – set time and come back to hot food! No stirring or multiple trips. Great time saver when prepping/gathering the rest of your lunch when minutes are valuable.

Overall, everyone loves the upgrade from the previous unit and would definitely buy again!

The only negative I could think of is the size. At 1.2 cubic feet it is on the smaller size for larger family items or what have you. But for office individual use its great!

  11. Idoc

This is a great countertop microwave. With 1200W of power and sensor cooking you can cook most meals in it. While externally it is compact it has a little more room than my previous microwave of the same size.

The Inverter technology cooks more evenly and if you use the sensor you can cook most things well. You have to be careful with some foods because the sensor is for steam this is not always an indication of the proper cooking time so you will have to get used to this with the things you cook.

The defrost works well having no problem with defrosting frozen meats and such. Another useful feature is the Keep Warm setting it keeps gravies, sauces, vegetables and other foods fresh and warm up to 30 minutes until ready to serve.

This is a great microwave for the price.

  12. Steve

We looked at so many! The had the best combination of size and power. It seems like the Inverter technology makes popcorn taste better. We just love it.

  13. BBfan

We purchased this as a replacement for our previous Panasonic microwave. It works great, has an interior light, and is easy to program the clock and use cooking functions. Compact to fit into smaller counter space.

  14. courtrevh

Bought this microwave after my 20 year old Sharp microwave finally broke. Looked in certain price range and think this is really nice microwave for the price. Much quieter than my older Sharp model. Also, nice dim lighting vs the old bright yellow light of my Sharp. I have only owned this microwave for a month now, so can’t speak for the longevity at this point. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

  15. lincat

I have had this a couple of months now. It is lighter than my previous one so I had to push it totally against the wall. I like the microwave. The sensor seems to work very well with what I have used it for. I have reheated pizza and pasta mainly, but I’ve have no complaints about anything else. I do wish you could use the cooking and timer at the same time. My old one did. That is one feature I do miss. But I am happy with this microwave. I suits my needs.

  16. Cathy

Works great, takes up very little space.
    Good features.

  17. bbreview

the product works as stated. I would recommend for countertop

  18. Barb

This microwave is excellent! From the size to the cooking features to the ease of use, this product is awesome!

  19. Really

So far its not bad. It will cook a pot pie better than the sharp i returned. The only issue is the buttons are hard to press.

  20. TNCaver

At full power this oven works great. But while you can set it at lower power, like 50%, using the instructions in the manual, it never cooks at less than 100%. So, things that call for reduced power are always overcooked and burnt. This is the second Panasonic microwave with this same problem. I would recommend looking at another brand.

  21. ladydi

Nice product and love having a light inside. The numbers need to be pressed fairly hard to work but other than that it is a good product. It is the newer version of our previous microwave.

  22. Friendlycomputer

We are happy to get this panasonic microwave.it is useful to our family.

  23. Microwave

I have received a great services and excellent quality microwave.

  24. Toomz

Purchased this to replace a similar Panasonic that died. The older one was a bit larger with all the same features. This one is great too and I don’t miss the larger interior. No complaints; very happy with this.

  25. leeww

Great Microwave, heats fast and even. Nice turntable

  26. HpwlCB

Works GREAT ! Only one minor issue. When the cooking is done, one must wait several minutes for next item OR Manually Press RESET for next item. Why would Panasonic has this feature is beyond me … a poor choice. Other than that it is OK. Heating is not even over the entire tray .. OK in middle and edges … in-between low heating. Rotating tray does not help to correct this. My Older Panasonic Microwave with IDENTICAL Title worked perfect .. not this one … only needed to get used to this uneven heating.

  27. Zorm

We had an older version for years and it was time for it to be replaced. Really like this updated version. Only complaint is the button beeps are loud. They seem extra loud since the microwave is so quiet.

  28. PanasonicMicrowave

Had a Panasonic microwave for 21 years still worked great thought it was time for an upgrade.Love the new one.

  29. Craig

Very reasonable and compact. Perfect for a dorm room, small apartment, or basement rec room.

  30. RiverviewTennisGuy

So far we haven’t had any issues. Works as expected.

  31. Samsung

Heats evenly and unlike the microwave it replaced has an interior light.

  32. TAG4

Replacement for a ten year micro wave of the same brand so I got the almost replica of the previous one because it work so well
It a little searching to find it though
I’ll buy another one when this konks out

  33. Maka53

I love my new Panasonic Inverter Microwave oven as it’s the perfect size with perfect wattage @1200. Great midsize microwave and looks awesome as well.

  34. DeeDee

Love it fits in the right spot
    It is what I expected

  35. mpezely

We had the microwave for about a month. The instructions are easy to follow and it cooks well. So far, so good.

  36. grandma

This microwave is cheaply made. The door has extremely sharp edges, the buttons have to be pushed more than once to make a connection, the controls are not easy to read, the clock’s numbers are squished together. I paid over $200 for this, and I did NOT get value for my money. I could have bought a cheaper model and got the same cheaply made microwave.

  37. Namhcop

Had an older version of this line for years. It’s very powerful and warms things quickly. My only small complaint is that after your heating is complete, the system doesn’t auto reset after the door is open/closed. You have to hit Stop/Reset and then enter your cook time. Still very pleased with the microwave overall

  38. user959441

Updated model of our previous microwave. Works as good as previous model and has a light inside. Works great!

  39. LoriD7907

Performs well. Only problem is it is hard to see the control panel without a light.

  40. ZacharyD

Bought this microwave for my mother and it works fantastic. The inverter makes all the difference.

  41. Freddie39

    r

This is a great microwave! It is everything and more than it’s description lists. It’s quiet and easy to operate and is ready to use in minutes. A really great buy

    t

  42. Looking4Quality

I am so happy with my choice. I did a lot of research and then went for it and couldn’t be happier. The microwave is easy to use, using traditional method of keying in time, or by using the genius sensor that automatically warms/cooks your food to the desired degree. I was pleasantly surprised by the price too–that means it was reasonable.

  43. CarolynM

Great product, and a different manufacturer than other microwaves!

  44. userDRJ

Our microwave stopped working one day, so we were looking to replace our old microwave . However, with so many choices, we were not sure which model to choose. But we knew we wanted a black microwave–not chrome–this time.
We could not have mad a better choice. Our new 100 Watt Panasonic microwave is easy to use, cooks effectively, and looks great in our kitchen.
In addition, I love the gray interior that comes with this model.

  45. user700760

This is what I wanted 1200 w. I use it everyday the setting are easy to use.

  46. bonnie

excellent microwave!! it is my second one
    easy to use and clean!

  47. bookworm

Just what we needed to replace our old microwave. It fits nicely in the space that our old one sat in. This microwave is easy to use and does the job excellently. We have had good luck with the Panasonic brand and so this was a easy decision to purchase this microwave.

  48. MonaL

Great product, stylish, heats quickly, is light weight and a great value for the money. I have had no issues and love it.

  49. MargaretR

was an ok microwave until it stopped working 8 months after purchase. It just stops in the middle of a timed cook and displays “8888”. If you reset it you can start the cook cycle again but the same thing happens.

  50. KangQ

It has a very compact design is easy to use, and works well!
