DanielJ –
This is the second one they are great. I got it for elderly person that could not afford a cell phone. It only 6.00 a month for great service. I had mine for 4 years now not problems.
Cleatis –
Does what it should and free phone service sure beats the $20/mo I was paying with vonage.
LeeV –
I love the phone. I cancelled my services. This phone delivers quality, service and clarity at a fraction of the costs at my previous company.
T18554 –
I bought this to have a home phone, the features are wonderful, the call clarity is great, the fact that for service I only have to pay the taxes and fees is amazing. I’m seriously thinking about getting anther handset. Honestly, I should have done this sooner.
MJWAK –
Higher cost of landline phones made me assist with switching my parents and doing research. Ooma was simple and easy to switch, notified us on every step there was in the switch of the number and even reached out through customer service to let us know if there were problems and how they could assist.

Good Product and better than paying Xfinity for a land line or closes thing to a land line now a days. The setup can be hard for people who are senior citizens who want simplicity in plug and play and it’s easy but as easy as 123 not completely so. But over all agoof product and cheaper than Xfinity so yes for the price and not having a big monthly bill for a landline.
anthias2 –
Works great but handsets are a little heavy but i still use my old Panasonic system with it as well. I’m saving at may 15 bucks a month. Call quality is generally great.
YenN –
Very easy to set up, clear, and save alot of money.

So far so good! This replaced our old ooma box that died. I use this for my 2 little kids who do not have cell phones. I can’t complain, however, I don’t really know how to use the phone that well yet-ha! Just calling out and hanging up. The one thing I haven’t found is the pager button for a misplaced phone which happens a lot around here. Hoping it has one. Another reviewer mentioned some static/feedback issues with the phones and I have noticed that some.
MattF –
Ooma publishes poor information on how you can set up the system. Note you cannot use a headset with these handsets. The only ways to use a headset is to either pay for their poorly rated phone system that is not cheap or purchase a different wired phone system. If you opt for their phone system you need to make sure your headset will work. Setting up a bluetooth headset is also a lot of work. If you use a different phone system note your router or modem needs to be where you are going to use it. In general there should be an easier roadmap on how to set up a variety of systems. As for the service, which is why this is not a one star review, in general was easy to get going and the cost is great at just taxes. Note that you need to actually opt out of Premier online as it automatically enrolls you.
LeeG –
This would receive a five star review if not for the deceptive marketing of their premier service. They automatically register you for this additional service as part of the start up. You must cancel within 30 days even though you never requested the upgrade. Very deceptive!!

After two weeks of use we find our Ooma Telo Air 2 a vast improvement over our 20 year old cordless phones. The sound quality is greatly improved and the cost savings helped in our decision to change to a new VOIP provider.
ToniW –
Love security of home phone , extra protection great service
BethK –
This system makes the calls from my NC son to my home in TN sound like he’s standing right in front of me! It’s a GREAT system!!
VincentS –
works as expected, opens the box, charges the handsets, enrolls the service, it works.
LDJA –
Useful to connect fax machine and as alternate phone service in the event the primary cell phone access is unavailable.
It was easy to configure and start using.
It includes answering machine functionality and 2 cordless phones.
In addition, I have been using the Ooma service for several years and have been mostly pleased. One downside — I feel the premium (add-on) service is somewhat over-priced.
user491451 –
Quick delivery from Best Buy! The and setup was super easy! Good, clear sound. Just make sure you call Ooma to setup
account before you plug everything in.
FrugalMom787 –
This works great for us. We’re on Starlink internet and have no issues making/receiving calls. For my county, it’s around $6/mo to use plus 10 more when I do the premium service which I actually like. Fave premium features are: it notifies me if someone at home dials 911. And when calls come in and I’m not home, it rings my cell so I can still get calls when I’m out. Overall great product. No regrets.
Antonio –
Works pretty decently; was going to select good but issues are swiftly fixed by the brand’s warranty.
Nil1 –
Its a no brainer to get one of this VOIP land line. I have it from last 15 years and I am in love with it. Since then I upgraded it third time. They only make money once when you buy it and its a truly legitimate business that provides ultimate value for your money in this this very bad time of inflation.
TexasDaughter –
This phone works great for my mom who doesn’t have a cell phone. It is easy to use and is as clear as a traditional land line.
SonjaR –
We decided we were tired of the local phone/internet carrier. We got Starlink and researched to find these Ooma phones were recommended to break free completely. You only have to pay the phone taxes! So much cheaper, easy installation, and easy to use.
James –
Works great, easy to set up. Better phone quality than the COX service, I previously had. Saving $$, !!!!! Wish I did it years ago!
RobertB –
Okay, this is really a two part review in many ways.
Ooma the service and basic device: These are great! If you want to keep a home phone number and handsets, the base station is great, the service is great, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
Ooma the handsets: These are horrible cheap pieces of junk. When they work they’re fine, they feel cheap, look cheap, and are built cheap. When they charge, which is rarely, they do work, but you cannot rely on them. There are still decent phones out there, wired and wireless, buy a set and plug them into the port on the back of the base unit and all of the complaints go away.
CarolynB –
A good replacement to my landline and cheaper in the long run. Fairly easy to set up and able to keep my same landline number .
Mgph –
Works very well. Replaced my phone service that does not work well. Most of the time says sos
CurtisG –
Great way to save money and a new product. Works very well.
JosefC –
Easy to set up, works great!
Too complicated to write review force you to write minimum characters
Tamica –
I never used it, but it still in the box new. Nevertheless, collecting dust in the closet. In brief, the return policy expired. At the same time, I was not aware of purchasing additional services. In good conscience, I cannot provide a rating
WaynesWorld –
Works as advertised, was able to keep my home number, big plus.
user240229 –
Works well. Ooma customer service is a 1 star rating.
Elise –
Clear calls. Excellent call reporting and screening/monitoring options. Smooth transition. All the bells and whistles for cost of $200 a year. Very happy with the system. Easy installation.
GracielaM –
I love the Ooma Internet home phone system. Great product and the service is super cheap.
CynthiaC –
Different kind of phone title, Just needed a line phone. Hardly rings at all, but it is nice to have.
Indigram –
Purchased to replace Landlines that had become too expensive. I had a tech savvy relative set Ooma up for us. It has worked well so far. It’s just been a few days.
JR1234 –
I had the Ooma – Telo phone for over7 years. One of the purchase I have made. My phone bill is around $4 dollar per month. Ooma – Telo Air 2 is great. Works great and great deal with 2 cordless handset. The old unis sill works so I gave it to my siste to replace her optimum phone line,
MaryS –
Item came in a very timely manner. All parts were in package. I’m waiting to have my number ported over to Ooma, so haven’t used the device, yet.
CaptainAl –
Why didn’t I switch from a Verizon landline at $73 per month to Ooma at $6 per month? Ooma works as well as or often better than copper wire landlines. The audio clarity is excellent.
Charles –
This phone seems to be good and is easy to set up. BUT if you plan to port your current phone service over to it. DO NOT cancel that service until the porting is complete.
CBebek –
Bought to eliminate the high cost of ATT land line. Installation was easy and even fun. The Ooma is doing great for the job for which it was bought.
DavidAM –
Lowest prices on the internet.
Highest quality product in the market.
I am very satisfied with customer service and will use BestBuy/Online again.
TracyH –
Work great with star link.one time purchase and no phone bill.unless international
JingA –
Easy to install. Wireless is a plus. You can place anywhere you like.
Jenny –
I have been using this for 3 months now and have no complaints. The setup was very easy and self explanatory within 30 minutes. The call Quality is awesome. I will be adding another one as a business line awesome service can’t complain and awesome price.
ToddA –
Seems to be a reasonable product overall but does have a few less than desirable quirks. Mostly, it’s really slow to return to service if power or network drops. Second, the app is buggy and often times out when trying to do something. That said, their Support CHAT service functions well and someone was always quick to respond.
LinM –
Works great
I only use it for the fax machine line.
Mike –
Easy to install. Good quality. Great alternative to an expensive landline.
GaryC –
Works very well and has good clarity. Saves me a lot of money!!
FrankC –
love the internet phone system. hand sets work in any room of the house.
CodyM –
On one of the handsets the number “1” button does not work and it is worthless. We were unable to set up the phone until Jan 11 and the return deadline was January 13.
It took us a couple of days to figure out the “1” did not work.
