    Had to replace the original remote as it stopped working. I like this one a lot better. The illuminated buttons are a real plus. The triangular shape looks weird but feels comfortable in the hand. Overall a very good remote.

    This replaced my original Shield 2017 remote which still worked perfectly. However from a functionality standpoint this is a better remote that is thoughtfully laid out. The dedicated buttons like power, volume, mute etc. are very convenient in operations. Well done.

    For anyone with the 2015 or 2017 Shield, it really is worth the price to get this new remote. I replaced the remote on my ’17 Shield with this. Backlit, far easier to use (has more buttons, but not too many), and takes normal AAA batteries instead of the flat cells. Just having the dedicated volume buttons alone make it worth the cost, but having a dedicated pause button is really good too. The shape is easy to hold, despite what you might think by looking at it.

    Sent to replace a missing remote and inside the remote box everything to support the remote was missing as well.

    Replaced an older Shield remote with the touch slider that couldn’t control the TV. This works way better, i accidentally hit buttons less, is easier to find – recommend if you have an other Shield TV with the flat remote.

    The item is excellent but it took one extra week to the date that was promised. I wasn’t informed either that the item was delayed. I drove to the store only to be told it’s delayed. I was unhappy and complained as to why I wasn’t informed of the delay. I received email when it was ready to pickup.

    This was suppose to work with my LG tv. When I received it, it was not compatible so I returned it.

    I had been using my TV remote to control the nvidia shield via cec, but it’s not always reliable, can be slow, and doesnt offer a way to use Assistant. Using this remote with my shield and having it control my TV is a much better experience.

    While not perfect, this remote is MUCH better than the one that comes with the Shield. The Netflix button is way too easy to push and it takes some getting used to the shape. The battery cover is also annoying to take off, but it does have good battery life. Overall, a good replacement for the awful stock remote.

    When you get tired of using your ‘sider’ shield remote–this is the one to replace it with. You can use the Button Remapper app to change the function of the Netflix button to any app you have on the Shield. Works great and much easier to find then the slim.

    I got the 2017 version of the Nvidia Sheld, and I like it, but I didn’t like how quickly the batteries died in the remote. This remote has more features with it, and going from the CR2032 batteries to the AAA is great change. Programming was easy and simple and took no time.

    sturdy,sleek design. Bought as a replacement to the original that came with the nvidia streaming device. Needs to be paired, and system rebooted in order to get to optimal usage.
