This blender has been excellent for all of our household blending needs, including the excellence and efficiency of being able to blend in the included individual blender cups for smaller servings or on-the-go use!
The BlendSense technology of this system does appear to work well! I tested it multiple times with different configurations of ice-filled cups with smoothie ingredients like whey protein and banana, and much to my delight the blender did indeed vary in the speed and intensity of its motor as the different ingredients were detected. It even displays a digital count-down clock as it is blending at displays in real-time what actions the blender is performing, including “crush” for when a large amount of ice is being ground up! I will be perfectly honest that I don’t think that this detect feature is precisely life-changing where our blending needs are concerned, but it is absolutely cool to use and the feature that detects if there is too little liquid in the mixture may actually come in handy and prevent the blender motor from experiencing unnecessary strain or damage.
As with other ninja blenders I have had in the past, this blender is utterly intuitive to use and requires little to no setup to get started. The first few times I blended with it, we did notice a rather pungent, acrid, heated-electronics smell coming from the motor exhaust at the bottom of the blender, but it stopped smelling that way after a few cycles of blending were performed.
The only thing I wish that this blender had in comparison to the last Ninja blender I had was a better cord management system for winding it up and stowing it away when the blender is not on our counter being used. The last Ninja smart blender we owned had a protruding rear vent port that was also handy for winding the cord around.
Altogether, this very small complaint aside, we are extremely happy with our new Ninja Detect blender! It is a very handsome-looking appliance and is very tech-forward with its digital display and real-time feedback while blending. Thanks for reading and I hope this review helps you make your purchasing decision!
Shadow Cloud –
This is the first blender I have ever owned so I might not be the best in terms of being a blender connoisseur. That said for someone who occasionally uses a blender for making smoothies, the ease of use with this blender is incredible. Everything works as advertised and the process is very straightforward.
You don’t have to worry about crushing your ice when making smoothies with this blender as it’s plenty powerful. The auto sense makes it easy to make your sauces, smoothies, etc, but you can also manually set the speed too(though keep in mind this is only when you use the pitcher). So far I have primarily used fresh ingredients like strawberries or mango mixed with some honey, milk, yogurt, and ice. However if you do use frozen ingredients, the auto-sense does identify them and will adjust the speed accordingly.
If you primarily live alone, the single-serve cup is great and is what you will primarily use unless you plan on making large quantities of your sauces, purees, smoothies, etc. The blade assembly that’s used to process the smoothie can also double as a lid for the cup.
Though this is a blender, it can dice smaller cuts of meat or harder vegetables as long as they’re cut them into one or two inch pieces.
Last thing worth mentioning is that the blender is pretty easy to clean. You can technically put everything into the dishwasher except for the motor base. I personally rather just wash the containers, lids, and blades by hand.

Ninja makes some of the best small kitchen appliances out there. They’re well made, well designed and built with parts that can handle the job. They are our go to brand when we’re looking for something new. The Detect Duo Power Blender Pro is no exception. Lets start with the manual. Yes, it actually comes with a full color, easy to read manual! And not the kind that has you scrambling for a magnifying glass. It’s well laid out, readable, and actually tells you about the machine and how to use it. It’s a very welcome inclusion, and one that other manufacturers are just plain leaving out.
This package comes with the super powerful base/motor unit, a blending pitcher with the stacked blade assembly, and two single serve cups which are ideal for smoothies. Although there is only one Hybrid Edge Blade assembly to share between the two cups, there are two lids for them, which means they are completely portable! Totally unnecessary to have two of the Hybrid Edge Blades, one is sufficient.
The base unit.
This is where the motor is located and the control panel resides. It’s weighty, which translates into powerful, and it has suction cups for feet which means it’s not going to walk across the counter when you’re mixing up iced drinks. It stays put. The control panel has two parts to it, the top row of mode buttons, and a really cool rotary dial that’s illuminated. The mode buttons control how you want to use the blender. There’s a main power button located on the left side. Press this button to turn on the electronics. After that, choose either Manual, Blendsense or Mode.
In Manual mode you can use the round knob to select the speed you want, and then press the knob in to start blending. This mode operates the blender like a traditional blender.
In BlendSense mode, the blender will sense what kind of ingredients are in the pitcher and automatically run it’s program to sense the consistency and adjust the motor speed to give you a perfect blend. There are some options in this mode including Crush, Max Crush and Thick Mode. You can use these as needed. There’s also an error detection that will ensure you have a mixing vessel installed, and also that it’s installed correctly. There’s an additional error detection when using the mixing cups, and that’s the Add Liquid warning. This will let you know if more liquid is needed for the blend.
With the Mode button, you can use the knob to select Large Chop, Small Chop and Mince. Want to large chop an entire onion? No problem. Put the onion wedges in the blender, select the large chop setting and push the knob in to start. The blender will run it’s Large Chop program and turn itself off when done. You can always stop the program manually by pressing the knob in again. Use the Pulse button to manually operate the blender for pulsed blending.
The Mixing cups.
If you’re a smoothie person, then these were made just for you. There’s two included and each one has a lid with a flip top spout. Perfect for the drive to work or just taking it with you. Both of the cups use the same Hybrid Edge Blade assembly.
The Pitcher.
So this is not your traditional blender and as such, the pitcher is pretty unique. It comes with a removable blade stack, meaning the blades go all the way up through the pitcher. It’s removed as a single unit and can be rinsed or put in the dishwasher. The blades are pretty sharp so grabbing it at the top is the best way to handle it. When blending, the blade stack is kept in place by installing the lid on the pitcher. You cannot run the blender without the lid being in place. This is to support the blades and also keeps your hands or wooden spoons out. Unlike a traditional blender that only has blades at the bottom, this one has blades the up through the pitcher which helps to mix your ingredients more thoroughly. The lid is locked in place by a handle that you press down to secure. To remove the lid, there’s a release button. The lid also has a pour spout for liquids.
So we made a bunch of things with this system and had really good results with all of them. Smoothies turn out just perfect. The consistency is great. Frozen Margaritas are very smooth and uniform. No big random ice chunks. Soup ingredients are uniform size with the most work being, the initial chop of larger items like onions and carrots. If I had a helpful tip to share it would be that if you need to chop a lot of veggies for something like soup, it helps to do the tougher, harder ones like carrots, separate from the softer more hydrated ones like onions. Carrots will take a bit longer to chop up than things like onions, so by the time the carrots are ready, the onions are probably a lot smaller and finer than you want them to be. For things like salsa, where all the veggies are about the same texture, it’s no problem at all. The BlendSense works amazingly well, and it’s really easy to get spoiled using ig. Just put in you stuff and watch the machine do all the work. It senses the time it needs to blend things to the chosen consistency, and also ramps up the power when needed. We really like this blender system, it has one of the best designs and solid construction of any that we’ve tried.

As a previous owner of two different competing single-serve blenders, one that unfortunately died after a year, and another and more impressively, a 900 watt Ninja that is 5 years old and running. I was intrigued to try out the Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro with its Blendsense technology. With a combination of single-serve convenience and a spacious 72 oz pitcher, this blender seemed promising.
Right off the bat, the Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro caught my attention with its robust build and eye-catching design. The components exuded a sense of durability and the blades were exceptionally sharp, providing assurance of a well-made product. Notably, this blender featured a sleeker base than its predecessor, making it easier to clean. Additionally, the single serve base noticeably had 2 more blades than my old ninja single serve blender, totaling 6, which made a noticeable difference in the blending process. There is a manual option with speeds 1-10. These are the typical old school manual controls most of us have seen. There is a pulse that does just what it says. And there is blendsense technology that I will cover here shortly. There are two 24 oz single serve cups and a 72 ounce blender with max fills of 21 oz and 64 oz.
Blendsense technology was the star of the show, as it intelligently detected the ingredients and blended them to perfection. I put it to the test with my morning smoothie, featuring various ingredients like bananas, seeds, almonds, oats, blueberries, and coconut milk. To my surprise, the Blendsense technology yielded a smoothie devoid of any unwanted almond pieces, something I never achieved before. And that’s 5 years of blending on my old single serve blender. Even though it took a bit longer to blend than my old blender, the results spoke for themselves – no detectable ingredient remnants remained.
To assess the versatility of this blender, I attempted a carrot and beet root smoothie. I’ve struggled to get these ingredients to blend well in the past because they are tough and full of fiber. Despite these typically challenging ingredients, the Blendsense function effortlessly handled the task. I simply pressed the start button and waited, without the need to constantly check or hold any buttons. Within about a minute, the blender transformed the 3 large carrots and 3 large beet roots into a fine juice and a thick layer of pulp at the top that could be easily remove. It was truly impressive.
Cleaning the Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro was hassle-free. The center blade could be easily detached and rinsed, while the container and lid were a breeze to clean. The single-serve cleaned rather easy and the slicker base relative to my old ninja, was slightly easier to clean. All of these components are dishwasher friendly but I easily rinsed these off in the sink. The finer it blends the ingredients, the easier it is to clean. Within minutes, the blender was ready for its next culinary adventure.
Pros:
Versatility: The Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro offers both single-serve and full-size blending options, catering to different needs.
Impressive build quality: The solid construction, firm placement, and sharp blades provide confidence in the blender’s longevity.
Powerful performance: With a 1200-watt motor that peaks around 1700 watts, this blender handles various ingredients with ease.
Easy to clean: The removable blade and user-friendly design ensure quick and effortless cleaning.
Thoughtful design: The blender features suction cups for added stability, a clever release button for the pitcher lid, and a convenient small cap for ingredient additions and pouring.
Cons:
Sharp blades: Be cautious during cleaning to avoid any accidental cuts. I cut my hand rather easy when cleaning for the first time.
Noise level: While quieter compared to its predecessor, the blender still produces a noticeable noise.
Single Serve Blender: It blends much better but it’s still not much easier to clean the blades or base.
The Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro goes above and beyond expectations, delivering exceptional blending performance and remarkable value for its price range. Its solid build quality and attractive design, complete with a colorful light-up dial, make it a standout appliance on any countertop. The fact that it remained cool and stress-free even while blending tough ingredients like beets and carrots further underscores its potential reliability. I believe Ninja has crafted a nearly perfect blender. As a satisfied customer, I hope that it stands the test of time, just like my previous blender. I looked extensively for flaws and they are hard to find. I highly recommend this blender. Ninja nailed it.

The Ninja Detect Duo is a great blender that takes the guess work out of knowing how long a blend should be. I tried throwing everything at this thing from frozen fruits, Ice, fresh fruits, frozen vegetables, nuts and it powered through everything without a hiccup.
Now there are plenty of machines out there that can handle all the stuff I listed above but none of them make it easy and that is where the Ninja Detect Duo stands out. The BlendSense tech works to perfection, all the smoothies I made came out exactly as I wanted them smooth and creamy.
The BlendSense tech is designed so that the Ninja Detect Duo can recognize the product in the blender and make using the blender as effortless as possible. Once you power on the machine its automatically set to BlendSense and the Ninja decides on how long it will take for the perfect blend, it also lets you know if more liquids need to be added. From all my uses this is a game changer and takes the guess work out of knowing how long you need to blend.
The manual controls work well and I was super impressed with how it differentiated large chop, small chop and mincing food. Take a look at the pictures below and you will notice that the blender isn’t just running on a timed setup, its actually calibrating itself so the food is diced as you requested.
The only real issue I had with the machine was spout lids for the single serving cups, they will leak a little bit if you flip the single servers around and shake them. The leaking is very minimal BUT if you are taking them with you on the go there is a chance that you could dirty your cloths.
I would highly recommend the Ninja Detect Duo because of its ease of use.

My house’s kitchen is not large, but we have a lot of appliances on the counter. Two of them being a blender and a Ninja personal serve blender. The ninja detect duo replaces both appliances into one. The blender works great and it even has a feature that will tell you to add more liquid to whatever you are making if necessary.
As far as the design goes, it has a stainless steel design, making it look premium and blend in with my other modern appliances. The buttons are large, and not over complicated. The single serve cup is big enough for two personal servings. It also has a strap that allows you to wrap up the cord when you are not using it and keeps it out of the way. As far as cleaning goes, it is easy to take apart and all parts are dishwasher safe except for the blade. The blade must be washed by hand. This is a fairly large blender, and it barely fits under my cabinets.
If you are someone who likes to make different things in a blender, then this one will do it all. There are other attachments available for purchase, such as a food processor attachment.

This Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro + Single is by far the best blender I have ever used. With it’s Detect Technology including it crushing & chopping blade assembly, you simply toss in ingredients and it sensed, crushes and chops. IT 72-ounce pitcher has ample space for making a family smoothy or a round of frozen margarita’s, I especially appreciate the pour spout that is built in to the locking lid. Its simple operation interface is well designed and easy to clean. This particular combo includes two 24-ounce single serve cups with spout lids, and a hybrid edge blade assembly for you singe serve pre or post work out smoothies. While using this blender it will actually stop and notify you that more liquid is necessary to complete a perfect finished product. I also feel that having all of these parts and pieces be dishwasher safe is so helpful. This product actually is on the quieter side of blenders, not sure how they pulled that off, but there is marked difference. I would suggest this product by Ninja for family and friends.
Balthazar2k4 –
I have been using Ninja products for many years and they have never failed me. They always put out a quality product that lasts. The new Detect Duo Blender is no different and another great addition to the Ninja family. Previously, I had been using the Power Blender & Processor System for all of my blending needs. In my house it is used primarily for making smoothies and milk shakes. The new Detect Duo ups the blending ante by upgrading the motor to 1800 watts of power. The previous Power Blender was 1400 watts and while always seemed adequate for my purposes I can see the difference in power on the Detect Duo. Using either the pitcher or the smaller personal blend cup it works magic on fruits, vegetables, ice, and ice cream. Even my youngest son who is the purveyor of milk shakes commented on how smooth the final product was. Needless to say he is a fan.
Overall, the Detect Duo does a great job of auto-sensing the necessary blend and gets right to it. The controls are fancier than the previous model, but really I feel like it is more a cosmetic change than anything. The overall unit is handsome and will look good on a counter. One catch for me was that it is a bit taller with the pitcher on and will no longer fit underneath my cabinets. Certainly not a deal breaker, but be aware the unit combined is 17 1/4″ tall versus the Power Blender at 14″. Guess that is the price you pay for the extra 400 watts. Additionally, the new Detect Duo only has two suction cups on the base as opposed to the four on the previous model. I originally thought this might be a problem with more power and less grip to the surface, but I was wrong. No issues with stability and it is much easier for me to get the base loose from the counter and moved elsewhere in the kitchen. Nice call Ninja!
Simply put, there are a lot of high end blenders out there for a lot more money and unless you need to blend a phone I can whole heartedly recommend the new Ninja Duo Detect for all your blending needs (and it might be able to do a phone too but I am not going to test that). It is a great value and should be another reliable Ninja product. Do not hesitate to put it on your list.
Beuge –
Unboxing Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro + Single Serve you’ll find the blender base, a 72oz pitcher with locking lid, the stacked blade assembly, two single-serve 24oz cups, two screw-on spout lids for the single-serve cups, and the blade assembly for the single-serve cups.
Most everything feels solid and well built. Much of the construction is plastic, including the 72oz pitcher. The physical buttons along the top edge of the blender body as well as the large selector dial have a very positive feel to them. The single-serve 24oz cups are thick-walled. The stainless steel blades are razor sharp. And the permanently attached power cord measures 32”.
Assembly is logical and easy to follow with the included instructions. Lids and hatches close tightly and vessels engage in the base smoothly and positively.
Once a vessel is mounted to the base, you have many options, including Manual, Mince, Small Chop, Large Chop, Pulse or BlendSense. The BlendSense mode will use the first 15 seconds of blending to try to determine what is in the vessel and adjust the speed, power, and time accordingly.
In my testing, BlendSense can produce varying results. For instance, I used it to make multiple margaritas in a row. Using the same amount of ice each time, the blender would sometimes produce very smooth results with no lingering icy chunks then other times it would overestimate the time necessary and would leave the ice more watery/slushy than desired.
The only other considerations to mention: The 72oz pitcher or 24oz cup being plastic limits use with hot liquids. When the lid to the 72oz pitcher is not on the pitcher, the handle locks in an upward position, making storage awkward. Also, the spout lids for the single-serve cups work fine but they just don’t have the same quality feel to them.
The Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro + Single Serve is a solidly built, versatile, premium blender that is easy to operate and performs very well.
MTCowboy –
The Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro + Single Serve is a brilliant device from one of my favorite brands! We have come to respect and enjoy the Ninja branded products. They truly “build ’em like they used to”!
The product packaging is sturdy and organized in a logical way that almost allows assembly without even referring to the manual. There is both a large carafe and two rugged single serving glasses so that you always have the option of blending for yourself or for a crowd!
The product is solidly built with minimal controls that are very intuitive. Thoughtful features like front mounted suction cup feet assure that the blender will stay put while operating. A good feature given how powerful the motor is on this thing! Ninja even throws in a recipe booklet to get your creative juices flowing! (see what I did there?)
But, the true magic in this device is intelligent tech that allows the blender to determine important info about the ingredients themselves! No more having to press multiple buttons to tell the blender that some of your contents are frozen or extra thick! You just layer your ingredients and press a single button! The blender will determine the optimum processing and time for you automatically!
We have been primarily using it for smoothies, malts and milkshakes but it is fully capable of chopping vegetables, blending soups or making fresh salsa.
I highly recommend this product!

Let’s face it, I have a pretty busy life. I don’t want complicated things to use in the kitchen, I’d rather it be quick and easy to make with very little mess.
So, a blender that will detect how it needs to run to get a smooth blend that also chops or minces…and is dishwasher safe….a blender calling my name. Choose between single serve for quick smoothie/milkshake blends or the pitcher. The base senses whether or not you have installed either of the containers (creepy how todays tech keeps evolving) and will not let you blend until one is secured. When you connect, the base automatically is set to blendsense. If you need to chop/mince, you’ll have to use the pitcher and set it to mode otherwise just use the blendsense. No matter how full or thick the contents are, the blender figures out exactly what to do to blend the mixture. It will even tell you if you don’t have enough liquid so you don’t burn out the motor. I compared filling the single serve partially full and full to see how the blendsense would act. To my surprise, it ran at a lighter power partially full than it did full.
It’s so easy to use. Comes with some recipes along with easy to follow instructions and some lids for the single serve

Ninja has always made some awesome kitchen appliances, but they’re new blender the Ninja Detect Detect Duo Power Blender Pro+ is awesome. Even though it’s not a “smart” blender, it sure feels like one.
The first few times I used it my wife even came over to see it in action, everything about it just feels so digital.
This particular blender comes with the three rows of blades that ninja is known for, they help blend everything inside of the blender more evenly top to bottom.
There are three main modes, manual blend BlendSense, and “mode”. Manuel is the easiest, just turn the dial to the desired speed, push the dial/button, and that’s it, your blending.
BlendSense technology means that your blender is able to detect if you need to add more liquid so that you can achieve the perfect blend such as a smoothie.
This particular package also includes two smaller cups and one blender blade for individual smaller portions, such as a protein shake or smoothie, etc.
And finally, the last mode is for chopping, it basically asks you how fine you want the items you put in to be chopped, very fine, medium, or large.
I really like this blender a lot, and I think you will too. Give it a try.

The Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro + Single Serve is A M A Z I N G. I used this for smoothies for the first week to start and it was perfect every time. With my other machine which I think was getting pretty burnt out, I would have to stop it and move stuff around to get things to blend completely. Not with the Ninja Detect, it’s smart. I also this time of year have a garden and process so many things from the garden. I gave this thing a run for it’s money. It chops like nobody’s business, saved me so much time. It’s got an auto sense, so amazing.
I chopped tomatoes, onions, red, yellow and green peppers, jalapeno peppers (don’t breath in when you pull the cover off, it will throw you into a coughing fit, lesson learned) I chopped everything I had in the garden. I made Spaghetti Sauce, Salsa Verde, Salsa, and it all was great.
I found everything about this to be wonderful. I couldn’t find any flaws at all. This is a powerful and amazing machine and I highly recommend this. I plan to use this daily. I have a smoothie every morning and I love how much room it gives you in the cup.
If you have ever used Ninja products this is a one up from anything else I have ever owned from them. I have no doubt that this is going to be a good seller for them. I am so glad that I have this, it’s going to be well used by this family. I am debating if I will keep this out on the counter top. Normally I put it away all the time, but I use it so often it might be better off where I can see it.
Much love for this machine. It’s a keeper for me.
RacineTechie –
First off, very well packaged and secure, which was a relief given the glassware inside. Instructions were clear and after a quick initial cleanup the set up was easy.
Shaved or crushed ice is always a bit of a gamble especially when making a large batch for slushies or for summer drinks. This blender worked great and the auto-iQ seemed to help with consistency. Certainly better than just going by eye or ‘feel’ did.
I hadn’t thought I’d ever have a single system that worked equally well at both ends – chopping and ‘juicing’, but this turned fruit into super smooth juice and basically you can make anything from a iced drink to a straight up fruit juice in a matter of a few adjustments. It wasn’t like an over processed juice either, it looked and tasted ‘real’.
We also used it to make a few blender recipes for protein shakes that we hadn’t ever gotten to come out right before and this time around, this Ninja made them just as good as a juice bar could have. The bonus of having two cups with spout lids was also nice – never enough of those clean.
It also seems quieter than others we have used, but that may just be us. We are very pleased with the unit and expect to get a ton of use out of it.

I’ve had several Shark vacuums over the years. Being that I was in an older house, with carpet and a poodle like dog, having a powerful high quality vacuum was a must. I moved into a new home, and figured that was the best time to start fresh, so enter the Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty System. The entire house is treated, hardwood flooring, and I was a little concerned. Sharks auto sense technology was one of the best features. It can sense when you’re on a different flooring and adjust the power for maximum efficiency, and will automatically increase the suction of it senses for those tough messes. On my new flooring it’s mostly a lower suction, but when I hit corners of more dirt you can hear the difference, and only one swipe od the vacuum is needed. It’s very sleek, and easy to setup. It isn’t something you want to just stick on a closest, and actually can go with any decor. I have it in my hallway upstairs, and it’s not an eyesore. Shark really stepped their game up to not only have a cordless vacuum with technology ahead of the game, but to be able to empty the bin automatically is a game changer. No more getting your hands dirty trying to open the bin, and it isn’t terribly loud while it empties itself. No more looking for the cord to charge it, it charges itself on the base. I couldn’t be happier with this vacuum, and will always be a big Shark supporter.

What an upgrade! I was getting by for many years with and old magic bullet. It didn’t it’s job but every time I used it, I would think “I really need to get a real blender”. Enter the Ninja Detect Duo and just wow! The power and speed this thing has, just blew me away. I love the travel size convertible cups, that’s what I was used to, but these are bigger and just the right size. The big blender pitcher is great for making bigger recipes and batches of drinks. I love how it’s not glass but heavy acrylic, so much easier to work with. The safety features of this system are far more advanced than I’ve ever seen. The ninja won’t run unless the pitcher is locked in. The lid latches on and locks down, so no more blender explosions. Although the lid does totally lock in place, I still find myself in blender pose, out of habit I guess. This Ninja has different settings but with it’s power, I use the pulse button mostly or the blend sense. Just a couple seconds and most things I make are done. Making frozen drinks and shakes is a breeze. Effortless, almost like nothing is in the blender. Ice is crushed almost instantly! No more blender jiggle is wonderful! You know, when you jiggle and bounce the blender to get the ingredients back down. Just seconds to perfectly blended drinks!

I’m a fan of Ninja as I believe they have great products. The Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro + Single Serve serves to confirm that belief. The reason I wanted this particular blender was because it was both a normal size blender as well as being able to make a single serving without having to use the bigger container. Saves counter space when I can have only one blender instead of two. However, I got so much more. I puree a lot of veggies and fruits which I then freeze to later throw into soups, sauces and smoothies. One problem I encounter is knowing how much liquid to add to the veggies. This blender will tell you if you need more liquid and I found it so much easier to add more than worry about having started with too much. Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots were easily pureed. I also puree for grandkids and that is where the BlendSense feature impressed me. I put some beef stew into the blender, set it to BlendSense and it was perfectly pureed. No worries about little chunks that might cause issues for little throats to swallow. It also worked great making smoothies as I tend to just throw things in without measuring so the liquid indication is great there as well. There is a manual feature so if you’d prefer, you can choose your own timing, particularly if you want to chop things. It comes with a nice recipe booklet which also shows how best to layer your foods into the blender and how best to use it.
My only negative is that the blender tends to be loud. However, with the power the blender has, it doesn’t take long to do what is needed. Still, something to consider.

This is the second full size Ninja blender Duo that we have had in the last few years. Not only does this thing look sleek but the auto blend feature works well if you want to walk away and let the blender do its thing. Not having to stand there and closely monitor it is a nice feature for those who blend a lot of smoothies or like to make a lot of frozen drinks with their Ninja.
One key thing I like are the larger single serve cups to be able to blend more compared to my previous single serve Ninja blender. I personally make a lot of protein shakes and my kids love to make smoothies almost daily so this has been a nice bonus having the larger single serve cups so there is enough to go around without having to use the larger blender attachment.
If you don’t want to use the auto feature it also has the various manual modes as well as a button to pulse to get just the right blend that you’re looking for no matter what drink you’re trying to make. The large blender portion can hold a lot of fruit or other juices to make big portions of smoothie for a large group of people. As with all my other Ninja products the blades are super sharp and have had absolutely no problems tearing through frozen fruits as well as ice cubes.
Overall I’ve been very impressed by this one although sometimes the auto blend goes a little longer than I prefer but it does a great job fully blending anything I have put into it so far.

I use a blender in my house almost everyday day whether it be making smoothies, or a sauce or even occasionally making cookie dough the life my old blender lived was a rough one. So as I was looking for a new one I wanted something that could do everything I needed but also use different size containers. When I make myself a smoothie I do not need the hug container so the fact this blender has the smaller one person containers for drink is great, those size containers also work well for making sauces when I’m cooking, and the fact they are so easy to clean makes it much better to use. The new sense blend works decently well, I tend to just switch over to manual mode but I never had any problems with it. The blender is relatively light and the suction cups on the feet help keep it in place and not let move around. Overall this is a great blender that can blend anything I throw at it. If your in the market for one I highly recommend getting yourself this ninja blender.
You can plenty of containers to let you make what you need without having to keep cleaning it each time.

This blender is big, powerful, and thanks to the individual cups the kit comes with also convenient. My brain didn’t correctly process how massive a 72oz main pitcher was going to be, so make sure you have somewhere to store this beast when not in use. Extremely powerful able to hit 1700w peak power which is about as much as a standard 15amp circuit can support. No issues with it tripping breakers yet, and handles anything I’ve thrown in it with ease. Features suction cups on the front feet to make sure it doesn’t jump off your counter. The motor is a bit loud so if you have other people in your home starting the day out with a smoothie will act as a very effective alarm clock. The “blend sense” tech seems to work well, letting you know when the mixture may be too thick or otherwise doing a good job of making sure the ingredients are well mixed. The two included single serving cups include lids so you can take your drink on the go without transferring it to another vessel. I’ve done smoothies, milkshakes, salsa, and frozen adult beverages with it so far and have gotten rave reviews for my blending prowess which mainly comes down to hitting the start button thanks to the blenders capabilities. Easy to clean as everything is dishwasher compatible. If you are needing a new blender with a massive pitcher but the ability to make more convenient individual serving sizes I would definitely recommend you check this kit out.

This is a very nice, top quality blender. All pieces are made with a thick plastic. The blender comes with a large pitcher, 72 oz, and 2 single serve cups. These are great for grab and go drinks.I love making single serving size smoothies and being able to take them with me. All is needed is to change to the sprout lid from the lid with blade. Nice concept. I was concerned about products leaking out, but so far I have not had this problem. This is a very powerful blender, it is capable of blending nuts with ease. The blender comes with 10 recipes for smoothies, margaritas, dips and several other treats. There are several different blending modes that can be used. It uses a blend sense technology based on the ingredients you are using. I found this a very unique feature that works well. I have had other blenders that were not as good, when trying to mix different textures of foods. Crushing ice is smooth, not a lot of chunks of ice from the blender not being completely cut up the ice. Smoothies come out smooth and well blended. My goal is to do a lot of meal preps with smoothies and other healthy protein and drink combination. I can’t wait to see everything this blender is capable of doing. So far, I am very pleased with this product.

This will be my second Ninja blender, replacing one from a few years ago. The last one had some features that I didn’t particularly care for nor use, and I will say that the absence of those things here makes this a winner in my book.
The good:
It’s easy to use. No real gimmicks here for a blender (more on that later). It blends everything you can throw at it that’s edible. Ice? No problem. Berries for a smoothy? Easy.
The smoothy/drink containers are 99% perfect. Easy to drink from without the lid, and even better with it. Some cups have the threads on the outside, which makes using the cup as a cup a bit annoying. Like you went to the dentist and got novocaine for a cavity and dribble everywhere. Not the case here, the threads are inside the lip, small details matter.
The full sized blender is great, makes quick work of whatever you toss in there. The locking lid is a nice touch, makes it impossible to spill anything since it is a two step process to remove it.
Everything is dishwasher safe, a huge plus in my book. While it says top rack only, I place the cups on the bottom since they will not fit on the top rack for me. If you have a heated drying cycle that gets very hot, you run the risk of melting things since the heating element is typically on the bottom of the machine. It works for me, but you’re on your own there can’t guarantee you’ll have the same experience.
To add to that, I love how the cups and containers don’t have tiny nooks and crannies that require small bottle brushes or pipe cleaners to get clean. My last Ninja had a completely useless vacuum “freshness” feature. All it did was add complexity and made cleaning up a royal pain in the you know what.
The base is very small and light. They packed a lot of power into it, and I do love that about it.
Only hitting one button to start it is really nice, no longer need to select a program, and then hit start. Sure it only saves one step, but simple is better.
The not so good:
The base of the smoothy cups isn’t perfectly flat, so they wobble ever so slightly. It isn’t enough to tip over, but also…it’s a bit expensive of a blender for that type of oversight in my opinion. Not a deal breaker though just a “really?” type situation.
I’m not sure it has much use as a chopper for vegetables. The box shows perfectly chopped onions….yeah that’s not going to happen ever, sorry to say. It’ll get you close but no where near that perfect. Not a deal breaker since I wouldn’t ever use this that way but just a heads up for anyone thinking to use it in that capacity.
The smoothy blades do actually require a pipe cleaner to get underneath the very bottom blades….so not perfect but still really good. I’m not sure why companies insist on making things inconvenient but here we are. Not the end of the world but just a heads up, those bottom blades are really tiny and a kitchen sponge won’t fit in there.
It’s loud, but most blenders are so maybe this deserves its own “eh whatever?” section.
The questionable:
Honestly the whole “blend sense” thing is a bit interesting in my opinion. I use this almost entirely for smoothies in the small containers. A mixture of powders and milk, plus two ice cubes. Blend sense selects “maximum crush.” Ok I guess, but it takes 10-15 seconds to figure out which program to use, at which point the drink is pretty much ready. The program then runs for another 35 seconds. The drinks come out just fine though.
I made a knock off of a famous coffee shop’s morning breakfast egg bites. So, eggs and cottage cheese. It selected the same “maximum crush” setting. For eggs…..
They came out fine, but again….”maximum crush” for eggs. Yeah.
Like I said, questionable.
Does it blend? Yep sure does. Does it do it in a weird way? Also, yep, sure does.
It’s a good blender, and Ninja has a great track record, and everything I’ve read says they stand behind their products. I’ve never had a Ninja appliance die on me, and I own a few, but it’s nice to know they’re there to help if I needed it.

I have had many Ninja blenders in the past and every one is better than the last! With this update, Ninja added a more modern look with the dial and clearer display, as well as an improved sensing mode. The staples of Ninja blenders are still there, especially the single-serve cups that are the perfect size for a morning breakfast shake (1 cup frozen strawberry banana mix, 2 blueberry Greek yogurt cups, 4oz water, 4 “freezer ice machine” ice cubes, sense blend)! I have been trying different recipes that come in the included recipe book, chopping, blending, pureeing, you name it, this thing can handle it perfectly! I even ground coffee beans, they turned out just like it came from my coffee grinder! I truly can’t say enough about how amazing this blender is and how much easier the new Sense IQ mode is for choosing how to blend, mix, chop, or crush whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish!
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, just anyone! Buy it for yourself, a friend, a wedding gift, birthday, holiday, and the recipient will truly love it! This is the kind of machine that will become your go to in the kitchen!

I have been using the Ninja Detect Duo blender for a while now and I am impressed with most of its performance and features.
It is quite powerful, it sounds like the motor is bogging sometimes, but that seems to be the blender adjusting, then it will run itself at the speed it thinks it needs, check again, etc.
There are suction cups on the bottom that do a good job of grabbing our countertop and keeping it still while it’s doing it’s business, it’s so powerful I wonder if it would move around on it’s own without them.
The Detect Duo is somewhat attractive on the counter if you leave it out, but it is a big blender, we decided not to leave it out.
It ruins milkshakes on the auto mode. I really wish it had a “Milkshake” button so it didn’t treat everything like a smoothie. Speaking of smoothies, this is the best for making smoothies of all kinds, it handles any ingredient with ease.
The main problem I have with this blender (besides milkshake abuse) is the big button. It is the main interface on the machine, I get the idea, and it’s cute to have spinning LED lights and stuff in there, but it feels flimsy and is impossible to turn if you have any moisture on your fingers due to the ring’s smooth glossy finish. The play in the button/knob is concerning me and making me wonder about the longevity of such a flimsy control. I was very surprised by Ninja when I felt the knobs cheap feel, they usually have solid switchgear on their stuff.
Ice, veggies, fruit, nothing I put in there gave it any trouble. It makes great consistency of baby food, does a little bit of food processor duty with the chop functions, and is the best for making drinks with the included cups and blender head for the cups.
This is the best blender I’ve ever used, it takes a little practice, it’s not magic, but it’s fully useful and a good value assuming that knob holds up.
I would recommend it!

Love my Ninja blender! The speed sensor is cool. It can overblend with it though for smoothies.

It’s our 2nd ninja blender we couldn’t be happier with its performance
