    Great lens, quality is great. Auto-focus is a little noisy when recording video. But the zoom is great, great walk around lens. It zooms to 210mm due to the 1.5 crop factor. I would recommend this lens but maybe purchase the AF-P version.

    I bought this lens for a D7500. I thought that the 18-55mm lens that my old camera came with was enough to take great pictures with this camera. But I learned the hard way that I had to get another one that is best suited for the D7500. I finally chose this lens simply because I don’t need too much telephoto and it goes wide enough for special occasion pictures.

    I think this is a basic lens, you can travel with this one since is very versatile and will let you do a lot of stuff. The price is reasonable and i am very happy with my purchase. For portraits works okay but in my case I bought a 35mm lens.

    This lens is fantastic. After only using the stock lens (that came with my Nikon when I bought it) for so long, it was time for an upgrade and this was definitely it! It had all the range of my stock lens PLUS more. Very easy attachment process and it said what size lens filter to get right on the box.

    I bought this lens for my Nikon D7500. I’ve been able to get good images at both extremes of the zoom. It has toggle switches to enable autofocus and noise reduction. It can be a little noisy when autofocusing, but other than that it is an excellent lens for the money.

    This lens is great, when you look through the camera view finder this lens looks just like you were looking at your subjects with just your eyes. Great when at 18mm to take family group photos, This lens reminds me of a lens that I look through that cost $6000.00, buy this lens and you will be happy.

    This is one of my best Lens purchases. It takes clear pictures. I use it on my Nikon D5300. In a recent trip it is the only Lens I used for both some Landscape Scenes and Family Portraits.Full Disclosure: I consider myself a Photography Hobbyist and cannot access whether this would be good for someone who is a Professional Photographer.

    Amazing quality photos. I purchased this because I need to upgrade my (old) lens since it started to get all wonky. This lens is able to take good quality pictures from a great distance. The focus is great too while still obtaining a crisp photo. When uploading to another device, you can see how great the photos turned out.

    You cannot beat this for the quality of pictures and ease of use . The weight could be a problem…but hey, look at the elements that make up this great lens . Everyday use , special purpose….it will take it all in one go. I own the 18 – 200 as well, but I think I like this much more….get this !

    Purchased for my Nikon D850 and I love it. Shots come out clear and sharp. The VR works great and ill Never buy another lease that does not have VR. before using this I had a hard time getting clear pictures, even with a $3000 camera body. The zoom works great. Ive taken great long exposure night and day images with this and I absolutely love!

    This is a solid walk-around / vacation lens. It works wonderfully on my Z50 with the FTZ Adapter.

    It is solid, and has ZERO lens creep, which is important for a lens you’re trotting around with all day long, or any lens for that matter. The pictures are super sharp. It does perform better in good light, rather than in low light, but that’s to be expected for any variable aperture lens like this one.

    The only complaint I have is that it didn’t come with a lens hood, and for $499, they should include a $12 piece of plastic to make it complete. That being said, I cannot complain. I am hoping it goes on sale soon, so I can get a credit…because I am not a fan of paying retail for anything.

    But am I happy? Yes, I am…

    I bought the Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-140 mm for my Nikon D7500 camera. It has VR which means that It has Vibration reduction zoom lens. If you are a novice / casual photographer and getting a DSLR camera for the first time – this lens is a perfect starter lens that you can get for your camera. It as has excellent macro and zoom settings to compliment your everyday shots. You won’t need anything else (except maybe for some filters) than this lens to start taking some incredible shots.
