Great range and fast router.
Thesjw –
Very good router/modem. This product does what it says it does and the set up is very simple and easy to do I would recommend this product if you are looking for a good standalone router/ modem
Mafia89 –
Was worried about it covering 3500 of home but it works without hiccups
Jcbeckner –
Works well with Shentel internet gives you all the speed your subscribed
MichaelG –
Doesn’t even come close to the area it says it covers.. constant issues with many apps after getting this router even sitting directly next to it I have issues.. can’t get a support person after 90 days without paying a premium subscription even when the warranty is 1 year.. do not buy
CadenT –
Its works when it wants to work and doesnt when it doesnt
JuliaB –
for the price it didn’t give me the strength and speed I would have expected.
Albeno –
Honestly given the choice to buy this again I would pass. The wireless connection constantly drops in the middle of banking or other important tasks. The net armor is intrusive and annoying. I would say maybe it’s the provider but after running a 75 ft ethernet cable to my computer all the connection drop issues disappeared. Super expensive for sub pat performance wirelessly, wired connection works great, but a wired connection should work great. Find an alternative and Ave yourself the headache if you are looking for a whole home wireless modem/router.

The Nighthawk is outstanding. We have the 6 in one home and the 8 in the other with an netgear extender and they are both awesome! We have a large home with 5 bedrooms and they all stream perfectly. We couldn’t be happier!
Rictictok –
I never realized how the nighthawk has a combination that’s worth purchasing it.
KonradM –

wonderful product but the price was ridiculous! never the less it’s good
DrSchwartz –
Speeds are as advertised. Fast, reliable connection. Best option to keep up with todays internet speeds, avoid using ISP’s dog equipment, and their equipment fees.
GaugeF –
amazing, super fast, great for gaming has very easy to use software and very stable
RyanR –
I have had this a few months now and all I can say is WOW!! the performance is unlike any other and i was even able to increase my download /upload speed tremendously for gaming and all other functions!! worth the investment

Shredder –
Works great, the best on the market we tried other ones, but this one seem to have the better range and quick upload download
JoseG –
Updates routinely caused problems and so I ended up getting rid if it.
CarlosP –
So far so good. I’ve just been having trouble with other devices and issues. It feels like it’s the device but I still need more time to figure it out.
GarrettS –
This was a huge improvement from our last Netgear router (lasted 8 years), More than meets our at home needs.
JaceR –
Item speaks for itself. Works amazing and boosts internet amazingly.
Seadog –
Awesome fast speed router and wifi but it’s not easy to set up everything is through a app. It’s not just plug and go.
Irvin –
Do not Buy. Netgear is a scam. Best Buy won’t return because I bought in store. Save your money.
Derek –
This router with cable modem is a beast. It took a major internet/cable providers download speeds from an average of 280 mbs and turbo charged them to an average of 990 mbs or more. Turn your internet service into a monster with the all in one, ultra sleek and quiet device. This household has at times 12 or more connected devices and we don’t suffer any loss in download nor upload speeds. [Upload though is 23 to 27 tbs]. With true gig speed service or business class this wi-fi 6 router is going to really kick some …

I love Netgear. I’m not sure why, though my Wi-Fi does not seem to be working as outstanding on my phone. I will give it longer, but I don’t have to keep unplugging it like my old router.
I also purchased the Protection Plan, which is fantastic because I got to use it, returning my old router since it kept failing me every day and purchasing a new one after a year with no out-of-pocket. Thank you, Best Buy, for allowing us this excellent insurance policy.
One thing about the set up is I had to get in touch with Cox. They kept sending the signal, but they did not even know after they sent the signal that I also had to log onto Netgear and accept again on the app for the Wi-Fi to work so setting up was a little difficult. Cox was very nice they were gonna send someone out to see why it wasn’t working. But thank goodness that wasn’t the case. I went onto the app on my phone and I selected Wi-Fi and somehow connected to the Nighthawk.
SeanL –
Works great and really improved my internet usage. Running multiple items at once and no slow down speed
DrewP –
Beat Router I’ve ever purchased, and looks really nice on my desk.
Bravo13 –
In terms of coax cable router modem, this is as best as it gets with wifi 6. The app is easy to use and easy to boot out users from using your wifi, example, your children staying up late lol.

Hello,
Usually, I wouldn’t give a bad review here, but there’s something wrong with this modem. I’ve read some complaints on Netgear’s site; this is my fourth modem, which lasts exactly 11 months. Let me explain: I purchased the first AX6000 in January 2020, which went out almost 12 months ago. The cause was the modem would reboot in a loop and finally die where only the power light stayed on. I contacted NetGear, and they sent me a replacement. It lasted eleven months after multiple power outages in the SF Bay Area in 2021 and 2022, where I lost another modem. The modem has plenty of ventilation; this is a $500.00 modem router. I would highly recommend getting an extended warranty if you purchase this modem. Otherwise, you’ll be paying $500.00 per year for replacement, which is a little pricy.

Upgraded my 8 year old Netgear modem/router to Netgear nighthawk CAX80.Much better speeds with several devices on WiFi network.Set up was pretty easy with phone app.Really noticed speed difference when watching Netflix or other TV apps !
Very happy with Nighthawk CAX80!
A little expensive,but worth it.
LincQ –
Functions well so far and easy to set up. Did result in a noticeable speed improvement for me.
ThomasG –
Provides excellent download and upload speeds all throughout a 1500 square foot apartment with 2 floors
JerryS –
Finally found out how to make internet faster! This router works great.. better than charter or wow router 100 percent
JeannieS –
Lightning fast. Easy set up. Excellent product. Simple directions. Great results.
spaces –
Returned due to being unable to connect and use it without the use of a proprietary mobile app and an account.
AnthonyB –
Great WiFi router and great range in my apartment. Easy to setup and use than the Xfinity rental router
Hcarm20 –
This was an update of a model a little further down. The difference is taken a lot. Much more speed, easier to connect connections are stable. good
Adam –
Works great! Provides better rangr than other routers.
AlanH –
Honestly this is a pretty great router/modem. Everything from the setup to using the app is very quick and easy, plus it’s a big upgrade from what I had before. Only downside is it’s a bit pricey but well worth it in my opinion
BrianT –
I liked it but did return it. Where I live I have power outages and the router always reset to the factory settings so my network password couldn’t be customized. If I set my own the router reset and nothing I had connected would recognize the system especially my cameras and alarm system.
A1490 –
The AX6000 seemed to do great for approximately 18 months (although now I’m questioning all the times I thought my slow speeds and lagging was because of Comcast). In the past few months, it failed to produce a strong, clear signal. It got worse and worse until now it’s just a brick with a power light. I am going back to an Arris modem and probably a TP-Link router. Avoid the AX6000 combo. Don’t waste your money on this junk. Buy a separate modem (Docsis 3.1) and router (Wi-Fi 6) of whatever brand you choose in 2024.
MichaelH –
The router’s OK, but do not activate Netgear Armor. Once you turn it on, you can’t turn it off, and it significantly slows your internet. Based on this, I’m not buying any more Netgear products. What a poor design.
Gibbs –
This was purchased just before changing to MetroNet, a fiber optic provider. It was returned because of being incompatible with the new system.
Bunnaz –
A definite upgrade to the previous Nighthawk router. The modem/router combination has plenty of ethernet ports and the app is easy to use. Set up was interesting when switching routers with our provider but a breeze after set up was completed. The app is helpful and not that confusing to use.
