    It’s modern router works but I have trouble with it sometimes it drops signal sometimes it also has a shorter range than it advertised it’s not bad but not worth the money I spent

    Router reaches my whole 1300 Sqft colonial house and then some. I live on 0.22 acres of land and can always reach the router at least have 4 to 5 bars of commectivity

    when it was working it worked fantastically it fixed my buffer bloat and packet loss issues but the problem was it only occasionally worked as it should and it was not very adaptive you had to recalibrate it all the time

    This router is pure junk. I had the XR700 before this. It was better. I needed to upgrade to wifi6 to handle the growing number of wireless devices in my home. I like the DumaOS features from my previous router so I bought this one thinking it would be the same software with better wifi capabilities. I could not be more wrong. Three time in the first month and a half I had to reboot when it dropped connections to everything. Also three times, I had to factory reset it because I could not log into the router. The hardware is now junk and the software has followed it into the garbage. I spent a fair amount of time with netgear tech support and got nowhere close to a solution. I am past the 15 Best Buy return window so now I’m stuck with a $300 paperweight. Netgear quality has gone way downhill. I think I’ll be looking to ASUS or TP-Link for my next router. Which is probably going to be soon if this keeps up.

    This nighthawk router is a modest upgrade from my previous nighthawk. Works everywhere in and around my house. Only reason I replaced is my original was fried in lightening strike.

    Works great and the setup was easy with the app. I use this router for over 10 device and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity or speed Ron the router side. The added protections that are part of the router are nice for that extra security.

    After a little over a year it consistantly will go to an unprotected network on the wifi and absolutely none of the the netduma os works ..having to weekly factory resset the thing is getting old especially since i have a smart house … its being replaced this weekend

    Beyond frustrated with this router. It constantly drops connections, the app to access it doesn’t work 99% of the time, and the Smart Connect (combines 2.4 and 5 ghz channels) hardly ever works. I’ve updated it, reset it, and tried pretty much everything – Avoid this and other Netgear products.

    This router is great! Works well for gaming, streaming, and general browsing. I get 700+ Mb download and similar upload. I have 1GB circuit and you get most of that wirelessly. Wired get the full gig. Range is good.

    Spectrum would not allow a modem/router combo at my business, so I had to find a good router only. After several bad routers, I found this nighthawk router and after using it for several weeks I can say it has been great. 2400sq ft with a lot of traffic, coverage and speeds have been great as well as scanning for any security threats.

    Great coverage. I have 2400 sq ft and the coverage issues I had previously are gone. I also like the capabilities to throttle upload and download to maintain a consistent ping. Took me a few hours to configure so I would recommend some basic networking skills. There is a wizard for configuration however I cannot speak to how well it works because I didn’t use it.

    A funny thing happened to me with this router. I purchased it when I moved in with a friend, and knowing we needed a good router, I purchased this and brought it home after work, only to discover my roommate had purchased the exact same router and had already set it up.

    I had to take it back to the store, but this thing is AMAZING, havent had one dropped connection yet. Highly recommend for Gamers.

    Ir may be a good router. However, I needed one that is compatible with the Norton VPN. I was told that this one was perfect. In fact it was not compatible and we had to return it.

    Works well, but the software is horrible. The UI is very slow; changes to options do not always seem to stick. If you aren’t a tinkerer, it’s probably a good “set and forget” router, but if you like to dig into things – this isn’t for you. Signal seems lackluster for the size of my home (not large).

    We’ve been getting great speeds and whole house coverage with the router. The DumaOS can be a bit daunting to figure out at first but once it’s set up with some help from some vids from Netgear and YouTube it’s dialed in. Getting really low ping playing COD. Great router and got it on sale.

    Absolute junk non of the features I bought this for work the web ui requires me to restart whatever device I’m attempting to access it on for it to load otherwise it’s permanent loading circle, geo filtering nor qos work it’s been updated to the latest firmware yet still gives pop up to update! The WiFi range is barely further than starlinks built in one just to top it off complete waste of money I would return but I got sick and then had a death in the family after buying so missed the return window, or you better believe it would’ve been returned!

    Great router for gaming, really boosted my service giving me lower latency, and no packet loss. This pair with a faster internet of 400 mbps or more is lovely for gaming as well as much more. I also have a detached garage that i get no service in but i can manage to catch wifi off this router even from there to some degree.

    it drops signal a lot. i have a single story home 2000sq feet and it does not get good signal in all rooms. i purchased this because i was told it was a beast one of the best im wondering if there is some thing wrong with the router.

    This router works decently in my 3000 sq ft house. Watch out though, there are many hidden fees that will be needed at a later time, such as tech support & security that will amount to $300 or so in additional charges.

    I have no connection issues in any of the available frequencies.
    WiFi 6 is available which is the main reason I replaced my old router.

    Not worth 300 bucks. If it did the dishes it might be.i wouldn’t know if there is worse or better out there.
