    Ah, the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem – it’s like a race car that was the envy of every driver… a few years ago. Back then, it zoomed through the internet superhighway, leaving lag and buffering in the dust. With its sleek design and powerful signal, it was the cool kid on the block.

    But alas, time spares no tech. The world moved to DOCSIS 3.1, and our Nighthawk, still rocking 3.0, is like trying to join a high-speed chase with a horse and buggy. It’s the gadget equivalent of still owning a VCR in the Netflix era. Sure, it’s great for nostalgia, but when it comes to keeping up with today’s internet speeds offered by many companies, it’s like bringing a knife to a laser gun fight.

    In short, while the Nighthawk AC1900 was once a beacon of connectivity and speed, it now waves goodbye to the newer, faster internet speeds zipping by. A reminder that in the tech world, you either update or become a charming relic of the past.

    This router is great. I bought it because I was having connection issues with my route provided by my internet company. I especially like the app that comes with the router, it gives me a break down of what apps are connected to my Wifi and how much data each device is pulling. I like how it broadcasts with two different bands and I can have guest sign into the second band without throttling down my main band. I would definitely suggest this to someone who is looking for a quality product.

    Just get it. It’s a no brainer and you won’t regret it. Xfinity wants to sit back and collect rent every single month for there’s, I’d advise not doing the math on it, might make yuh sick like it did me. It’s the same exact results and they don’t care if you switch but be prepared for a little resistance cuz it’s rental fees they gonna lose. I’m very pleased. No complaints, love the user interface on the app, even has similar features if not more than the original modem I had.

    The NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK AC1900 combo was a pleasant surprise; the router and monitor combo surpassed my expectations. The synergy between the router’s performance and the monitor creates a notably robust combination. Unlike my previous setup with a separate Modem & Router, this combo has significantly simplified things, leading to a noticeable improvement in speed. Although, the setup did take a bit longer than anticipated, the overall benefits make it well worth the effort.

    I bought this one based on many other reviews. I wanted to have my own router so I return my x-finity rented one. I used the Netgear router for 24 hours then it stopped working after I did a reset. Contacted two technical support individuals at Netgear and they suggested me to return it as it may have a manufacturing defect. I’m back to the rented x-finity router 🙁
