I read all the bad reviews before I bought, and most issues seemed self inflicted with some legitimate concerns as well, but every company has some problems with a percentage of their products so I purchased and am happy for now.

I received my phone on 12/10/23. As an android user for 12 years, the battery life on this phone reminds of my original htc evo 4g from 2010. I get to 25% by 2pm. This is rare given I installed the exact apps on my pixel 6 and previous mid range samsung before that. With those phones, I would get 25% by the time I went to bed at midnight. I love everything else about the phone, but not worth owning a portable phone if I have to carry around a spare battery. Will have to return.

I’m not much into using my cell phone other than for phone calls, texting and video calls. I preferred the old flip phones but found texting (which everyone else seemed to prefer) a bit much and resorted to a bigger phone with a keyboard. I really didn’t like lugging it around. This flip phone caught my eye and although it’s more than I would usually pay for a phone it is exactly what I was looking for. I read quite a few reviews on it and those reviewers were finding this phone lacking because of it’s picture quality, storage and gaming capabilities along with an outdated processor. Since all these were an upgrade over my old phone and I don’t use it as a camera or for gaming, I went ahead and purchased it. I’m glad I did. It’s a sleek looking non-slippery phone and the crease in the screen is barely visible. It comes with a screen cover attached with a warning not to place another over it or it will void the warranty. Very compact when folded. When unfolded I have a full crisp screen and keyboard. There is an option to have the phone answer calls by unfolding and end them by folding or continue the call while folded. I took a picture just to see the quality other reviewers were talking about but found it to be much better than one taken on my old phone. My old phone wasn’t water or dust resistant as this phone is not so that wasn’t a deterrent. Many customizable features for the full screen but customizing the external screen is limited.The external screen is perfect for me as it shows the date, time and notifications. I added a timer just because I could. The display will go out after a few seconds and a touch or notification will bring it back. The battery life for such a small flip phone is excellent. I can go a few days without charging. At the cost paid, Motorola should have thrown in a wall charger instead of skimping on it. I can put this phone in my pocket and it won’t place calls or open apps unintentionally. It is easy to open and use. I may be the wrong person to be writing this review as I don’t use it to its fullest capabilities. I do feel it is worth the cost to have a flip phone for easy carry with screen protection and having the advantage of a large screen w/keyboard when needed. More than satisfied with the Motorola Razr 2023.

I was skeptical of the flip feature having owned a flip phone back in the 90’s but it actually works quite well. The OLED screen is very nice with excellent colors. Most surprising part is surfing the web is noticeable faster then my Motorola Edge 2021. The camera seems on par for Motorola with slight improvements though I haven’t really used it much yet. The only con I can think of is that your reminded it’s a foldable when running your finger across the center of the screen and the touch resistance changes at the fold but it’s not a deal breaker. Battery life is quite good when folded since the smaller exterior screen seems to only sip power. Best Buy had a great unlocked price which was the deciding factor to upgrade.

Great to see the renovated Razr brought back, its light and didnt have the need for a phone case on this one as the phone itself has a good grip and case already.
Cool little features too, the biggest one is obviously is the fold. No crease issue here.

The compact form factor is really cool. It fits nice into my pocket, and the fingerprint sensor is really accurate. Thats about all it has going for it. The camera is not great and the software needs a masive revamp as it is not intuitive at all and dosnt do multitasking well, which is a must for my day to day use. At $499 when on sale its not a bad deal. $700 is to much for this phone.

I’ve had this for a little over 2 months, always very careful with it, as I do all of my expensive electronics. DO. NOT. BUY. IT. The screen WILL break on you when you absolutely least expect it, it is a defective product and should not be on the market AT ALL. I was on my phone in bed a couple nights ago getting ready to sleep, everything was just fine, closed the phone up, put it on the end table next to me so I could get to sleep. Next morning, a little black smudge was there, thought it was just dirt or some debris, but it was the screen itself, right where the phone folds. Not worth a dime, let alone the 5-700 dollars they’re selling them for. It’s absolutely criminal that they can get away with releasing such a defective product to the public for profit and getting away with it. I would add photos of the screen if my screen would actually work.

So far though: Cameras are phenomenal for a phone, Motorola’s software has improved tremendously, and I simply cannot find a reason to hate it.
My old phone lagged behind a bit in specs, but not this one.
Cons: very hard to find a case that has hinge protection. I’ve found a grand total of one

The Motorola razr 2023 is a phone made for people like me. Has every thing I needed and wanted in a smart phone at a very affordable price. Well done Motorola.

I got this phone and my wife got the Razr+ variant. I needed the longer battery life for work so I got this one.
This phone will run for a good 2 days between charges under normal use. The outer screen isn’t very useful but gets the job done considering I DIDN’T want a large screen on the outside of the phone because I wanted my phone to be more durable.
I would highly recommend this phone over the + version if the outside screen is something you can do without.
The outside skin has a sort of rubberized texture to it that seems to really add some survivability to the device. I tend to work outside a lot and do heavy work and haven’t had a problem with this phone getting damaged or scratched. The screen comes with a protector pre-installed and that is a major plus I wish other phone manufacturers would do.
I don’t use an after market phone shell and I don’t see the need to buy one for this device. My wife does use one for her Razr+ due to the outside screen being much bigger and more likely to be damaged if dropped.

It’s a very good device. Speed is good and the design is really convenient. They offer a confirmation mode with gestures that are very similar to iPhone which was convenient for me. Battery life is a plus.
