High quality but volume is not high, the screen it’s too dark sometimes but they have an automatic regulator of brightness but I rather to control it my self because sometimes it’s too bright.it doesn’t have a blue light filter like Samsung Galaxy.

This could have been great – I love how Moto’s skin is minimal and leaves the essence of pure android as is while adding more value. That part is great.
Although the back is polycarbonate, I liked it. Finally a phone you don’t feel back not having a case (and it makes it much less bulky, easy to deal with the size … I hate large phones and this one was ok because of that).
So why 1 star? Updates – security patches, etc. I didn’t research enough until after – I thought moto left their abysmal reputation in the past – nope, they are still way slow to deliver updates, skip them sometimes and don’t live up to their promises.
I couldn’t connect my work account to this phone as the security patch was too old. I think the limit is 120 days or something like that? Ya. Like 4 months – moto promises bi-monthly – so that’s 2 skipped updates. Not okay.
I returned it as moto’s poor execution of timely security updates meant I literally couldn’t use this for the main use-case.

More features than the edge22.why don’t they come with covers.Best Buy never has them in stock to purchase separately. I think it’s a good purchase!
MattStew –
Great phone at a sid price when in sale. Comparable to Samsung Galaxy phones.
NathanB –
I’m loving the device. I’m used to a 2K screen on most flagships but there isn’t anything bad about the screen. The colors are deep. It gets bright enough for outside viewing.
I would like for the camera to have a better zoom feature but I really don’t use that often enough to complain about that. The main camera is competitive and I like the results of the macro. I have yet to use the front facing camera. I’m not big on selfies.
The battery is more than ample to get through a day. I’m more than average on my usage and I have no problems going all day without the need to hurry and find a charger.
Leonermp –
I always had Samsung and when I switched to Motorola I felt a bit scared, but I was very wrong and I’m glad I bought this Motorola edge, it’s a great phone and it has nothing to envy from any other.
N8Ur –
As per usual Motorola makes another great product! I work in the construction trades and the intuitive moto gestures are great, when crawling around in an dark attic a simple chop motion turns on the light when your other hand is tied up. Also being able to open the camera to take pics for documentation with the flick of a wrist is so helpful. Next phone is going to be the next version of this one!
VictorCole –
Super good, and nice picture quality. I will recommend it to friends and family.
OwenM –
Happy with the this phone. Being a Motorola case options were a bit limited, but overall happy.
Awesome –
Great phone for people on a budget only wish it a water rating
Izzy –
Great improvement over my previous phone. Quality of sound is great.
TyL1 –
The device thought to be long lasting battery to find out it’s the same as all the others, battery consumption is fast. Drain out so fast even not use and use very lightly like browsing and check email. Camera is no good. When take picture to show feet and some surrounding, the faces all distorted. Take close up picture is okay. If there is a setings, there should be default setting that is top quality picture when taking picture anyway you want,
Hickster58 –
Good phone, but wish cameras were better and wish it had a better water resistance. Would wait for it to be on sale, not worth the $1000 regular price compared to other phones.
techboi –
Half baked ui. Poor quality cameras. Just go for the 2023 model.
NelsonE –
Great Phone. Excellent photo and video. 100% recommended
SarahW –
As an open box product, I was very impressed with condition and the functionality. Best buy always provides the best quality products for the best value! I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied with this purchase!
ManuelM –
The issues I have with this phone is the camera not working with Messenger or Google Meet. Software updates are horrible. As of July 31, 2023, this software security is still on February 2023. Really bad

Nice phone for a good price, good performance, and good signal receiving.

Okay so I’m a bit of a tech junkie. I have been a big proponent for both OnePlus devices and Samsung. Both of those companies have a lot to offer, though I don’t care for the Samsung interface at all. There has been very little if anything that I can say negative about this Motorola Edge Plus. It is definitely the fastest phone I have ever used. Blazing fast upload and download speeds. The fingerprint reader that doubles as the power button and a quick launch button is flawless. The chomp twice for flashlight feature is very convenient as well as the flick wrist twice for camera mode. I don’t know what people really expect from them as far as the camera goes because I have had zero issues with it. I’ll say this, I am a Google one subscriber and with that you do get some upgraded camera features that you wouldn’t get under the normal Motorola interface so that may have something to do with it. Regardless it has not let me down at all. . Got this phone on sale at a ridiculously low price. Is it worth the $1,000 that it cost when it first arrived on the scene. Probably not. But this is definitely in the flagship category. The only negative I have found on it thus far is the water resistance. At this price point you would expect it to be on par with the big boys and be fully waterproof, though that is not so. If you can get past that point then I think you would not be disappointed with this device at all
KirstenS –
Easy to use, good quality for the price. It works as well as a computer
LindaB –
Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it!
ThunderChicken –
Great phone…good size .. vivid colors and great battery life…. Its only drawback is the camera.. its not bad at all .. but coming from a pixel phone it doesnt compare
dubbaukb –
It is a good lower priced phone. I did not want to drop a grand so I went for the sale on this device. The battery life is short (4-6 hours). The interface is good. My phone back glass is cracked after being in my pocket with keys. Be careful of this fragile device.
JosephbK –
A+ I’ve owned this phone for almost a year it’s been amazing
Excellent battery life great photography
JoseC –
its a great phone, I have always used samsung and my last one was the 13 S plus and the sound of the speaker was like a stereo, but I decided to give it a try to this phone, is a very good phone the only negative part is the sound of the speaker very bad quality.
WilliamN –
Almost a year now the phone is still works very good , I have no complaints. Good phone.

After months of researching, comparing phones, & trying out other brands that gave me headaches I finally settled on this phone. I’ve had it for a few months & I also bought it shortly before the 2023 model came out, but I have to say I am glad I didn’t wait as the 2022 model has more of what I want to see in a phone.
First off the 2023 model lives up to its edge name with that curved edge screen, something I actually hate, so I am glad my 2022 model isn’t that type of phone, its a pretty regular display which I much prefer. The screen is very nice with variable & high refresh rates, but those give me a headache if I’m on the phone for too long, so I appreciate the option to turn it off.
I got this phone on sale and it is really good value for what I paid, 512GB is a lot of space, although I know myself and can see myself filling it up in the next year or two, so I wish they didn’t get rid of the microSD card slot, all the budget level Motorolas have SD card slots, so I don’t see a good reason for this phone not having one.
They also got rid of the headphone jack, again I don’t know why such a valuable feature is relegated to cheap phones, but not the premium ones. Motorola, please include a headphone jack & microSD slot on ALL of your devices.
The phone shipped with Android 12, which was missing some features I really liked from Android 13 when I used it on other devices, luckily the Edge+ 2022 recently got Android 13, but some basic features are still missing, such as the ability to restrict specific apps from network access.
One thing I appreciate is the phone having a physical fingerprint reader/button. I much prefer this to the in-screen fingerprint reader that other phones have.
The cameras on this phone are pretty good and will do 4k60fps once updated, but I installed Gcam on it as even after the android 13 update, pictures in Mototrola’s default camera app still come out oversharpened & blurry.
Like I said I spent months searching for the right phone because nothing out there really fits my needs, and this phone is just the closest one I could find. I hate the modern all screen design of phones, I want rectangular screens with bezels back. I never saw the point of the rounded corners thing, and I’d much rather the selfie cam be in a bezel, rather than a cut out in the screen. Bezels would also allow for bigger & better speakers, not that these are bad, but phone speakers in general could be so much more. It would also just be nice to pick up a phone without accidently touching everything on the screen.
I haven’t really had any connectivity issues with the phone, the bluetooth connections are solid, although had to mess around in the developer settings when it couldn’t find some of my devices. The phone is a bit slower than other devices on my 2.4GHz connection, but the 5GHz one is solid.
I also really miss having an IR blaster and notification LED which my previous phone had.

great phone works like a dream my daughter loves it great picture quailty as well as battery life
Ksix –
Great phone works really good. Very smooth and fast
Seattleguy –
High end specs for mid range price. Good phone! Fast charge is amazing, apps load very quickly.
BBCustomer –
This is an excellent Phone with one annoying thing the speakers are terrible even with Dolby Atmos turned on they sound really bad my previous Phone the Motorola One 5g Ace sounds better coming out of one speaker and that’s just sad. Build quality is good but the buttons could be clickier and feel better quality overall. If those two things don’t bother you then the rest is top quality phone it’s insanely fast and feels like a top tier flagship phone overall, real shame it has the other issues otherwise i’d consider it a 5/5 5,000 Milliamp battery over 4,800 would have been nice too but it still lasts a good amount of time.
Mary –
I’ve only had the phone for a couple of weeks, so it’s hard to tell if it’s a great phone or not. It’s light, has a good sized screen and the camera takes wonderful photos. The jury is out on battery life and overall quality.
GregoryD –
Can’t beat the price for value. I’ve loved every unlocked moto phone I’ve had. Love the readyfor programing and the smooth 144hz refresh rate, especially when playing games. Absolute powerhouse for such a cheap phone.
Devi –
Great product , great service. Always go with bestbuy
JosueR –
Iove this phone. I dislike when phones come with a lot of apps that i dont use taking up toouch space. But I love this one i had the 2021 version and I lived it too
Sycy –
Most important in this review is how wonderful JT the sales person who set up the Motorola phone I purchased, he was fabulous! Because of his help and direction I can easily navigate my purchase!
AnthonyF –
Motorola edge+2022, “Excellent in perfect cosmetics condition” Thank you BEST BUY. I’m, encouraged for an upgrade! Possibly Motorola edge+2023!
PittDoctorG –
The phone arrived quickly. After cleaning it up, it was in perfect shape. As an open box item, there wasn’t an original box. It was shipped in a generic cardboard box and no original packing nor was there much padding. A charger was supposed to be included but it wasn’t. There was a USB c cable. There were dozens of tiny specks on the glass and each required scratching off with my fingernail. But the phone does work and the battery seems to be in really good shape. Saved only $150 from the sale price at the time but now the new price has doubled, no longer on sale.
Warrenj3 –
Pros everything besides the camera. Every shot i took of my dogs was blurry and not usable. I got my device on open box discount. Was originally 999.99 down to 499.99 on clearance ( because its a 2022 model ). Snapdragon 8 gen 1 512GB Storage wireless charging high refresh rate display and the classic moto actions. Awesome phone if you dont need to take photos.
JulieB –
This phone has been a great phone. I will alsways buy moto phones
SonnyS –
Buttery smooth phone, very responsive fingerprint sensor. Only negative to me is the battery, drain too fast.
PoeticEdda –
I love the color and the UI is very customizeable!
LamarB –
I like the Motorola Edge+. It’s easy to use, good phone and a great camera. Battery life is good and it charges fast.
Ravi –
Phone is good on most of the aspects. But camera night mode is not on par with competitors. Battery saving mode doesn’t work effectively. Browsing speed is not on par with other competitors. Video and game mode works more than expected. Navigation is quite simple and biometrics works well.
TonyaB –
This phone has exceeded my expectations for sure! It’s fast, produces great picture quality, and the battery life is insane. I never thought a Motorola phone could satisfy my cell phone needs but this one has. And last but not least the price I paid for this open boxed item saved me enough money to get a second phone for my mom.
MichaelD –
This is definitely one of my favorite phones to date. Fast operating system, cameras and battery life are great, screen is spectacular and the set up was a breeze. Motorola has matched quality of the Samsung Galaxy and Apple iPhones at a much lower cost. If you’re in the market for a refurbished phone then get it from Best Buy. I couldn’t be happier
JesusS –
It was all I wanted in a phone and more but it is too weak not durable.
ShawnA –
Great looking phone with a big screen. The color is great in person as well.
user882953 –
It’s a good cellphone for the price it costs. It serves me very well.

Great phone with many nice features. It is fast and has a nice screen and storage. Nice blue color as well and lightweight.
