    I wasted my money on this. I have gigabit internet service but when I connect this adapter, to my surface pro 7, I get less than 60mbps very slow. Wifi download speed is over 450mbps. It’s the same when I disconnect the ethernet cable from my desk top and use this adapter, to test it, I end up with less than 60 mbps download speed. I got one that is evidently not working properly.

    Until I used the Microsoft Ethernet adapter I wasn’t able to image my surface with my works enterprise windows DWP.
    The drivers for this device are built in so it requires no setup!

    I did not need this after all. But if I did, I was happy to have it standing by. I appreciate Best Buy allowing me to return it for a full credit.

    This adapter works well, it took a couple tries before my computer recognized it though, even though I have a surface book 2. It took a little troubleshooting to set up the connection. It works perfectly on both my microsoft surface book 2, and my apple macbook air.

    Get’s the job done. Feels “cheap”, and theres a lot of wiggle in the fit. But it does work.

    Works perfectly. Just plug it into the type A USB and attach a network cable and you’ll be connected. No extra drivers needed.

When connecting the adapter it is quickly found by Windows 10, and shows 1 gb/s connection, when checking network properties for this adapter. It looks like a well made product.

    Works exactly as expected. Simply plug into USB port on PC and then plug ethernet cable into adapter and wired ethernet connection works on PC.

    This product was an easy way for me to add an Ethernet port to my Surface Pro. It was actually cheaper than purchasing a generic usb to ethernet adapter and matched the color and material of the Surface.

    I needed a more powerful PC than the standard Dell pc my healthcare system offers. I also needed it to be pink – so limited options. IT purchased me a MS Surface pc in sandstone.

    IT was unable to PXE boot / network and image the Surface pc without an “official Surface usb to ethernet adapter”. Ordered this cord from Best Buy-dot-com and picked it up an hour later (nice feature!).

    Annoying that this adapter was needed – the pc was expensive enough against my annual capital budget and components should be universal.

    Nonetheless once the cord was received they were able to prepare my pc.

    It’s hard to quantify value and ease of use because this adapter really shouldn’t be needed. 5 stars for working, 0 for being required to use the PC.
