Great washer. A few interface glitches, but nothing significant. Sometimes it doesn’t register commands, but eventually it works. It is the best that can be expect given that manual interfaces no longer exist.

This is the worst machine I have ever owned. It never uses enough water, even with deepfill on and bedding selection (supposed to have more water than other selections). It leaves detergent all over the clothes and they come up looking dirtier than when I started. What a waste of money. And the matching dryer almost never gets things dry the first time on auto-sensing. The only way to get it to work is to put the dryer setting higher than what is recommended for the clothes, or to run auto-sensing, then figure out how much more additional time is needed after that cycle completes and then run a timed dry. Running the auto sensing cycle another 2 times doesn’t even get them dry. Ridiculous.

Absolutely love this washing machine. I like having an agitator and this was the biggest one available that still uses the agitator. I like that it reminds you to run a clean cycle, has water level sensors, options for different cycles, temperature, etc, but not so many that it’s overwhelming.

This is the worst washer ever! Within the first year the whole electric panel went out, I had wet clothes and water still in the tub stuck on my washer. The deep fill cycle is a joke. They’ve changed the sensor twice. The only way to get it to fill was on bedding cycle which took almost 2 hours to wash. When the washer is completely empty the tub fills all the way up with water, like a deep cycle should and but when the tub has a full load it fills with with 1 inch of water on power wash!! I had horrible service with the third party company A&E repair. The technician was lazy ordered unnecessary parts, I told him the transmission works completely fine as you can tell, it’s the agitator that was not tight and secure. When he came to diagnose he never once thought to check the bolt holding the agitator on. Comes back 3 weeks later and he says it’s a stripped bolt!! If he would’ve done his job he would have noticed it 3 weeks prior when he first came out and I would not gave gas to wait! Washed 2 small loads then did a large load and it was completely loose and useless again! If he would’ve properly diagnosed we would not have had this issue drag out for this long. Good thing about Bestbuys extended warranty is they are going to refund for me to get another washer, it for sure won’t be a maytag. They just do not make appliances like they use to back in the day!

If I could give it negative stars I would. There is never enough water. It is obnoxiously loud. It sounds like it might break off of whatever brackets hold the bowl in place. Worst purchase I could have ever made.

Generally a good washing machine, it cleans the clothes quite well, and it really spins them dry. Clothes require less time in the dryer now. The only problem is that it likes to eat sheets! They get caught under the agitator unless there is something heavier under them to block the gap between the agitator and the drum. Once they get wound up in there they are almost completely impossible to get out without tearing them. This was a very unexpected flaw.

The machine works well but, after a couple years, developed a swelling squeaking nose during wash cycle. 4 trips from Geek Squad resulted in “live with it”.
So, 1) machine works well but may get noisy 2) Geek Squad protection worthless for this appliance

2 years and 4 months after buying this Maytag, we were just told the main board is out and it is not worth fixing. Definitely not buying another one of these. Only issue for two years was the center agitator cap would come off regularly. Just expected a much longer life from a Maytag.

Good washer overall. It did break within the first year but Maytag fixed. It would not drain the water. Maytag warranty came through. It is somewhat loud but it’s located in the other side of the house so no bother. I like the option of filling the tub with water and soaking for some time. Overall, satisfied with the purchase.

HATE THIS WASHER!!!!!! purchased March 2017 have had 3 repairs now on number 4 Gears went out… mother board was replaced, water connection for cold broke. Had to have machine replaced on April 2017. First machine broke… now replacement machine does not work. you can never get through to a store manager, you get passed around and it takes 2 days to get through to some one to help you. bought extended warranty on this washer and was never explained the repair had to be for the same problem 3 times, Stuck with LEMON……

Do not buy this unit. The design is terrible, the detergent tray gets dirty fast, black gunk build up. Our previous machine did not have this issue. The energy saving low water level barely covers a load. The top loading door is slanted, so anything on top, slides off. They made the part of the door that is touched most in a badly designed chrome, which gets dirty and scratches easily.
Overall this is not worth the money and doesn’t get clothes clean.

Have had this washer for three years and no complaints. The buttons are a bit testy sometimes but does a good job washing clothes. All of a sudden the plastic on the hinge is cracked and breaking off. Look it up online and so many people with the same issue!! Not covered under warranty. Really disappointed

I can’t say enough about how much I regret this purchase. The agitator destroys delicates. If you choose to wash a load with cold water, low dirt level, and low spin the machine jerks and twists your clothes as if you selected heavy and high spin.
After two years of use I went to remove a load of clothes about 20 mins after the cycle finished. When I opened the lid I discovered that the top left of the lid had cracked open. I later read other reviews that reveal this happens all the time and the Maytag refuses to cover it. They won’t even cover the service fee for someone to come and look at it. I now have to hold down the lid every time I start a load until it locks and every couple of loads it can’t unlock so it beeps incessantly until I open it. This is hell with a sleeping baby in the house.

We had this machine for 3 1/2 years and liked it very much. Only complaint my wife had was that the water level was too low even when you put it on “deep fill.” However, after 3 1/2 years it stopped working. Repairman replaced the motherboard, but that wasn’t it. So he said it’s likely the top panel with the buttons but repair was going to be almost $500 just for that part.
I decided to buy a different Maytag machine (MED6230HW) to replace this one. Had it for 2 days & returned it. It was more cheaply made & continued to spin clothes to one side & then stop because it was unbalanced. I returned it. Was going to buy this exact model again (MVWB765FW)…but now I’m on the fence after reading the most recent reviews and issues.

Purchased this matching set washer & gas dryer 11/2019 and not even half a year later the transmission and they had to replace a total of 8 parts on it. Then 8/23 it started making a knocking noise, giving a LF error code and then shutting off. Technician came out and he was awesome, and the only good thing about this whaswing machine was the Geek Squad tech that came out. It needs the main control board, the transmission again, and the inlet valves and that pushed it over the limit of being repairable. So now I get to have fun again trying to find a “good replacement” washing machine that will hopefully last longer than 2 years. Not surprised at all they dont make this one anymore.

Decent looking top load machine with agitator. However: User interface does not allow changes to the cycle or pausing to open the lid mid-wash, which I prefer to do occasionally. Machine does not self-clean properly with cleaning agent, leaving a foul smell all the time. Need to use liquid bleach regularly to get the smell out and then the washer smells like bleach. The clutch system started making a horrible grinding noise after 2 years requiring repair out of warranty. Looking at the plastic clutch pieces, they are flimsy plastic designed to fail. How did the quality of these washers get so poor? My next machine will be a different brand, probably an import from a reputable manufacturer. It is so sad to see how bad Maytag has become.

4 years in and we get it repaired annually. Internal components fail on a routine basis and the design is awful. We had to put the feet on risers because the drum scrapes the floor. Oh and by the way, the washer is also not user friendly.

Crappiest washer ever made. The lid has broken 4 times since purchased. Pretty much every 6 momths it seems. We purchas 5 yr warranty and they canceled it without notice and refuse to service our washer. I calnceall my accts with them. Never again!

This thing will SHRED your sheets. My sheets all get rips and holes. Bras get stuck in the seam at the bottom. The thing CONSTANTLY is off balance when washing heavier loads like bedding and towels. Doesn’t get items very clean at all. Takes forever to do a load of laundry unless you constantly wash on rapid. Worse washer I have ever owned. We had a Maytag commercial series front load set for 12 years. I regret getting rid of it after purchasing this.
