This machine is 5 months old. Last week it started making a horrendous noise. Now the machine will fill a little bit, rotate the drum back and forth a couple times and then fill. It repeats this over and over. Spoke to Best Buy and they say Maytag will not let them touch their machines. It HAS to be serviced by them. I found this out when Best Buy canceled my repair appointment the morning of the appointment. On top of that, they do nothing. I have to contact them myself. Guess I will be without a washer for while. For a machine to break in less than 6 months, that should speak volumes for the quality of their product. I cannot recommend

We purchased January 2020. One year was fine, but has been fix it more and more starting November 2022 and fixed 4 more visits since then. The main part that seems to be the problem is 15Y28-17 and now new # W10913953r. Best buy tech last fixed it last Thurs and today it is not working again. Best buy has done a great job on honoring their warranty so if you buy this machine , buy the extended warranty from best buy. Plastic parts and not being a direct drive motor might be the problem as well. I am looking for a different machine but even LG,GE and Samsung have too many negative reviews for my comfort. I have asked maytag if they make a direct drive motor and does the mvw7230 series use the same components as the 6230 series.. Have not heard back yet..

Love this washer! Only uses as much water is needed but can be adjusted, doesn’t take too long to run, and the biggest plus… I am short and can actually reach the bottom with both feet still touching the ground!

Love this washer! The price point is amazing for a washer that works so well and is so high tech. Bought this after moving into our new home and the washer that came with the house crapped out on us after being there 2 months. This washer fits large loads of clothes and does a great job. Will be getting the matching dryer eventually

Machine looks good but is very loud and has already started to break. Quickly became unbalanced and has had a loud knock since it was installed. It now sounds like the pump is wearing out and is making a loud squeal mid cycle.

Had leak from the bottom of this washer. Best Buy has subcontract with company Whirlpool that hires Goodman Home Solutions – they cancelled our appointment for June 28th because they thought our warranty expired in spite of sending proof of purchase on May 5, 2023 three times and they never acknowledge my emails with images of proof!
We are NOT happy about this and now we have to wait until July 6th to have them over to fix whatever problem is!!!

I have only had the washer for a few weeks. It is so much bigger than my old one. I can get my washing done fast. There are many different adjustments and I can customize the cycles far more than I used to. So far it is great.

We bought this Maytag top loading Washer and matching Maytag Gas Dryer to our first floor 18 months ago and couldn’t be happier with having flawless operation of both machines. These are both “Smart machines” with the Maytag APP on our phones allowing us to monitor the cycle times or alerting the finish times. We especially like the add a garment feature and the overall looks of this machine.

Unit worked fine for a little over a year and then broke. I paid to repair it and a month later, it’s broken in a different way now. I’m not sinking any more money into this washer, so I’ll have to just buy a new one. I would stear away from Maytag. I no longer see them on top washers models anymore too.

Lots of space. Can hold a good amount of clothes. I have not tried the wifi features yet, but so far seems to be cleaning everything well. We have had it for 2 months now. It is quiet as well.

Cleans very well as has a lot of cycle choices. It is too noisy however. We do not have a laundry room – our laundry is in our kitchen. So the noise is heard in the living room. My husband thought it was broken the first time he heard it running.

Bought the washer 1/2022. Agitator started making noises about 1.5 years in (warranty no longer valid). By 10/2023 the water was not filling up either. Due to the cost of repair, had to buy a new washer. A washer should not last less than 2 years. My old washer lasted almost 10 years. I was very disappointed that upon calling Maytag, they didn’t care about the issues nor offered any real help. Their repair technician couldn’t even come out for 2 weeks.
