The Marshall Monitor II with ANC is a great headphone. I will be honest… In my search for the perfect over-ear for me, I’ve returned these to the store only to purchase another pair less than a year later.
I believe my first issue with these was the level of sound isolation, which is key in getting the most out of the ANC, as well as the overall volume. I wear glasses, and a lot of baseball caps. These two things alone never help when it comes to sound isolation and ANC of over the ear style cans. But, I’ve seen other headphones do well in this area so the fact that it was a tad difficult to get the most out of the ANC concerned me a little. The next issue was the overall volume. They just don’t get crazy loud. Nothing more nothing less to it.
Why did I eventually come back to the Marshall Monitor II… At the end of the day, it’s an accessory. I own many Marshall products and for what they are, they are the best for me. I love the durability. The metal that attaches the headband to the drivers is insanely durable. They feel heavy. The accents and attention to detail are very premium. They’re extremely low profile, which allows me to move more freely while wearing them. The microphone is excellent. Call quality is amazing. Battery life is phenomenal… I may pick up a pair of Apple Pro’s, but until I really need that volume and high level of ANC, these will suit my every day needs.

Noise Cancellation works well but is comparatively less than Bose Noice cancellation. But when using the wired feature, these are the best headphones I have ever used. Works great for professional meetings or for flight travel. I would highly recommend this product if you’re planning to use it for wired audio. Also decent noice cancellation bluetooth heaadphone.

I’m still learning about the product. I have had some problems getting the headphones to work with Disney and Hulu on the airplane but I think I finally got them work properly after I got someone to help me with that problem.

I’m not really an over the ear headphone type of person but I decided to try these anyway. They don’t fully cover your ears and will press up against piercings if you have them which becomes uncomfortable after a while. I liked the sound although I am not an audio expert. Ultimately, I returned them and went with the in ear Marshall earbuds.

These were the best quality of the three I tried. The sound is good. The interface is good. One knob does everything. The cons: I can always hear the wind blowing when using these. I’m outside often and if the wind blows, it’s stronger than the audio. The other con is customer service. With marshals I’ve only ever been able to email someone in Sweden. Takes a few tries to turn on and off. Overall I liked them better than seinnhauser Bose beats and Sony.

I love these headphones! I did a lot of researching different options for noise cancelling options online before I went ahead and ordered something. Firstly, I have a very small head, and these fit me so well! Brands like Beats tend to sit really low on my ears, but these are great. I also like the shape too, as I have a helix piercing and they cup around my ears without hitting it and causing any discomfort. The toggle is so convenient and useful; it’s so great to only have a couple of buttons, especially one main control that’s used for sound and shuffling through songs. Very cushiony!! The app that goes with the Monitor IIs is also super cool and I’ve set up two different custom settings for when I listen to kpop and rock music so that I can really enjoy each genre to the fullest extent. The noise cancelling is also incredible! I haven’t tried too many other pairs of noise cancelling headphones, but these absolutely do the job. The difference is amazing. Loving them for music especially, but also just to help tune things out. Marshall is known for their sound quality with their speakers, and their headphones did not disappoint!
And BONUS??? Super stylish! I love the vintage/retro style of these headphones. I have gotten so many compliments on them already. A colleague of mine is already thinking of getting a pair for her son!

These headphones are great for the price and is perfect if you’re on the go a lot. They’ve been out for a few years and the ANC is not quite as good as some of the current flagships from the likes of Sony 1000XM 4/5 or the Bose QC45/Headphone 700. BUT the fact that they can fold up in any directions is a huge win in my book. Also, did I mention that they look really good and don’t have that cheap plastic feel?

I love the sound and ANC features. It is amazing if you’re gonna stay indoors. Unfortunately, sound and ANC go out the door if it is windy outside – the wind pressure against the outer shell will create severe sound distortion.

I would like to mention up front that I have owned a good number of ANC headphones except I have never owned the flagship versions like the 1000x M5, QC45’s or the Aripods Max. I have stuck around the mid to low range ones like the WHCH710N or the Soundcore Q45. Not to mention I got these headphones for a VERY big discount.
The one complaint I will mention about the packaging is that there is not hard case available in the box, just a hefty drawstring bag. Many other headphones that charge $300 or more come with a decent zippable hard case so I don’t understand why this one doesn’t, but in all seriousness it’s better than nothing.
The fit and finish of this set is what really drew me to purchase it. Yes, it does indeed look as cool as it does in the pictures, but the texture and the feel are also very nice. The Marshall logo is made of smooth rubbery material and the plastic has a nice rough finish while the leather is soft and pliable. However the clamping force out of the box is very, very high and gave me a headache within a few minutes. Most certainly recomment regularly stretching the headband in order to curb this issue. What is also very nice is Marshall’s signature control stick on the bottom portion of the right ear cup, It’s definitive and precise and in my opinion a much better solution to touch controls. But do keep in mind that to change or alter the noise cancelling there is a hidden button on the left cup that looks like it’s part of the hinge. I highly recommend reading the manual to know what each one does. But, I enjoy the sleek and handsome design and thankfully charges via usb c and has a 3.5mm port for wired listening.
Sound quality is very nicely done and nearly flat which is something I enjoy. Some would say that the bass could be under respresented, but it is of great quality. Turning them up you can get a great sense of detail even for a set of bluetooth headphones. Keep in mind that I turn the ANC off so I am unsure if that affects the sound spoitively or negatively. Either way, I very much enjoy the sound these guys put out.
Yes, these are very nice headphones with a great look, decent comfort and awesome sound. However, get them on sale because paying $300 is something I would consider to be far too steep. Definitely wait until they are $200 or less, then these are an amazing deal.

I love the way it looks down to how comfortable it is. But i just wish that it sounded louder, its a good level of volume but doesnt give that headphones level volume. Its affordable, great noise cancelation and can be used wired or wireless

Purchased these headphones in November 2023. Loved them at first, sound quality was great, fits my head snuggly but in the past few weeks they have deceloped a chatter and rininging noise when nothing is playing. Will have to go through manufacturer to try and get a new pair.
