I have installed this one in about 45 minutes via the app. I also factory reset my old nodes and linked them to this set. The advertizment is true it you cannuse older nodes to make a better mesh system. Now I have greate signal all over my house and in the backyard. I have 80 connected devices running smoothly.

  2. Shepski

Had geek squad come and set it up, it gave them/us nothing but problems throughout the attempted install

  3. Tcoll

This is more of a 4.5 than a 4 star review. So far so good! Speed and accessibility is really good! I have a small house and the system is very reliable. My only complaint was it wasn’t as easy to setup as it should’ve been. Especially since I had an older velop system. But the customer service at Lynksis was really good and got me up and running.

  4. Josemanuelsv

This system is awesome! I had an asus mesh that worked great until it became very unstable. I decided to purchase a TP link system but it never worked and then I decided to invest in this system and I’m very pleased of the results. The performance is awesome, it allows me to cover my entire house and i am using Ethernet backhaul between two of the units I’m getting crazy speeds all around my house, the system figures out automatically about the best layout. The units are large but the signal strength makes it worth it. The system lacks some settings like being able to assign one device to a given node, but other than that I’m super happy with it.

  5. JefferyC

I have 1 Gb service. Ethernet and WiFi give me 600-700Mb download using a 2.5Gb modem. Coverage stated by manufacturer would only be tree in a giant bubble. Single story house. 2700 sq ft. I have 7 mech router boxes to get coverage with “no blind spots”.

  6. Dickie

I think this is better than the Orbi. No issues or no hiccups

  7. RichardF

unfortunately, this has been quite probably the most disappointing purchase of my adult life. There are though two things I can mark as positives. The first is that when you (finally) are actually able to get connected to your network via these hideous plastic blocks? you can be assured that whatever theoretical top speed your ISP said you’d get when you signed up? And that you’ve never got close to in real life? You’ll get it with these… The other positive worth mentioning is that you will be provided with an outstanding opportunity to learn more about wifi and modern mesh wifi systems and wired vs wireless connectivity and and access points vs repeaters vs extenders as well as the capabilities of the various frequencies of radio waves currently available for use by wifi networks because you will need to know all of that and more to even have a shot at setting up your network and getting connected using these g++da+ned things. (there was so much I was disappointed by with these that I’m not going to go into it except to say thisa one next thing). I strongly advise to stay well clear of anything advertising wifi 6E…the “E” being the part to avoid. Several reasons, but primarily due to the fact that you may have noticed that other than the several various mesh routers boasting 6E capabilities? Nothing else uses the supposedly lightning fast 6 GHz bandwidth. Well…it IS lightning fast….but it doesn’t matter here on Earth because unless you have a huge warehouse with no walls maybe, or live on the 50 yard line of a football field,
it has a real world range of about 4 feet. after that, if it hits any obstacle at all, like a curve in you hallway or a window with a curtain…its just not hardy enough to maintain any usable, readable shape….and even in times when it does connect, just cant stay that way long…so while yes, its theoretical speeds are pretty major advances? In reality, it comes in as something somewhat less that that.
not that any of that matters because 99% of people don’;t have a device thats even able to detect a 6 GHz network anyway

  8. Sully135

Great product, very easy to install and get running – Installed this to replace an older Linksys single point unit, signal is now much better throughout the house and speed test on all machines increased 2-3x.

  9. MoreyX

Expensive but worth every penny! This thing will bring your Wi-Fi experience to another level. Good bye buffering forever. Extremely well made and absolutely a dream to install using the Linksy App. We use it together with Spectrum Wi-Fi 6 router and couldn’t be any happier.

  10. HanksDiner

Have had my new mesh system for nearly a month and it has met all of my expectations operationally. My streaming services are now running without the annoying and incessant slowdowns/stoppages we had been experiencing, even after reducing our internet service speed from 1 GBps to 500 MBps. Found the downloaded setup instructions less than user friendly, but the phone support I got from Linksys was excellent … both friendly and patient.

  11. Darnell

The product allowed me to replace my verizon extenders and maximize my bandwidth throughtout the house. Easy setup and montoring of nodes.

  12. Acloud

These were very easy to set up. Some smart devices that use 2.4Ghz band WiFi have difficulty staying connected.

  13. OhioPatriot

I bought these on sale and they were pretty well. However, I swear they can’t go through more than two walls.

  14. Nibblin

I actually returned this. I got to to replace my older Linksys ac2200 thinking I would see massive improvements. I was wrong. I have several Wi-Fi 6 devices and 1 6E. I got nearly the same speeds as I did with my old units and the distance benefits were negligible. I also had huge variations in speed when measuring in the same area. I never had that with the old units. I’ll probably wait a little before making the jump to 6E. For the price of these they should be better.

  15. ctcount04

Upgraded from the Linksys – MaxStream AX000 which was Dual Band to this product. So far the Wi-Fi results are so much better. I’m not getting disconnected with dead spots throughout the house. Also can utilize the 2.4, 5, and 6 Gbps channels of wifi nodes. Works great!

  16. user

Easy setup and connecting to internet, speeds and range are much better than previous linksys wifi 5 router.

  17. RaymondjM

After downloading the Linksys App. It is easy to setup.
I have a wired network in my house so I swapped the Hubs out and used the wire connections on the Atlas

  18. GaryF

Went from the Velop system with 4 nodes since their firmware screwed up that system and we decided it was a good time for an upgrade anyhow. This new system has amazing range and we were able to retain one of our velop nodes to get internet in an additional building. Speeds are great.

  19. SCRMW3

This system is expensive, but it works great! Supposedly made for a 9000 sf home, but beware square footage numbers on routers. There are a lot of variables with coverage. My home is 1800 sf, and Wi-Fi coverage has been an issue due to the floor plan. Even with this system, there are areas that have only a moderate signal, a known weakness with some lesser expensive (but expensive) Linksys mesh routers. This system was worth the money for me because of the coverage issues and unstable operation of the previous mesh routers I had. Speeds with Comcast are now 470 Mbps download/ 12 Mbps upload, and I don’t have the highest tier internet plan. Setup was easy and the app is very user friendly. I returned a comparable Orbi system
to get this one, and I’m glad I did. The Linksys app is far superior to the Orbi app, though the Orbi coverage was somewhat similar.

I was using a Linksys EA6900-AC1900 router and a repeater for many years without problems. With a great Balck Friday sale and Best Buy’s old router recycle discount I thought I would upgrade with This Linksys- Atlas Max AXE8400 3 pack mesh. Once I installed 1 of these as the main router (same location as old one) my signal was strong enough to cover my whole house, even the doorbell which is why I needed a repeater in the first place. Since I bought a 3 pack, I pulled a Cat6 cable to 2 locations where I installed the other 2 as a wired backhaul to complete my Mesh network. I wanted to wait 2 months before I reviewed this and I must say it has worked flawless this whole time. I also installed a USB drive in the Atlas Max’s USB port and now have a Network drive accesable from all connected computers.

  21. Chupi

I had the previous version of this mesh system and I can say that this really is a jump in performance.

  22. Mass

These things are amazing! Have not had any issues and was easy to set up! You can’t go wrong with these.

  23. Jerry

This mess network screams and can handle the toughest multiple heavy streaming loads. Finally. STRONG WiFi signal and bandwidth in the whole house!

  24. JohnP

we use it at far ends of the house and since we got them even our garage and backyard run smoothly

  25. bobloadmire

Never buy this. It is SO SLOW. portforwarding breaks it, Linksys phone support was useless after 2 HOURS ON THE PHONE. they won’t replace the unit, even though it doesn’t work properly. Had to do a charge back. My old wifi 5 mesh system works fine

  26. James

Complete junk! New and advanced system and my 6 year old Linksys velop system out performs this! What a complete waste of 900 plus dollars! Do not buy! Save your money and buy something else! JUNK JUNK JUNK!!! One star is even too much…

  27. RichardL

Not a good idea for my house because it’s gotta be out in the open for best results and didn’t fix my issue of not having WiFi signal upstairs in my house

  28. skibase

The Linksys Atlas Max Mesh system is up and running in our 3200 SQ Ft home and working like a charm. No more drops due to too many resources needing wifi and the wifi 6 which we get on our phones and a few other items is super fast. Coverage from room-ro-room is awesome and the setup and App are easy to understand.

We werer also considering the Orbi 860, but the Linksys is half the price and comes with a 3 year warranty and 3 years of support vs the Orbi which has a 1 year warranty and only 90 days of free support after which you need to pay.

Coming from a very technical person known as The Tech Czar the Linksys is hands down a better value than the Orbi.

  29. CurrentlyConnected

The three pods were easy to place and provide outstanding coverage.

  30. Mikerascan

I recently upped to the Ziply Fiber 2GB plan and needed an upgrade to my mesh system as my current Linksys mesh was only rated to 1GB. Currently, I am seeing 2.1GB up and down at the router with a 1ms ping and around 600MB with wifi on a Samsung S23 Ultra. Granted, I did run fiber all the way from the street to the ONT which is located right next to the router. The satellites are all on Cat8 hardline network haul back and handle my 30 or so devices including 10 1080P wifi cameras with ease. The 4 ethernet ports on each satellite is more than enough to hardline all of my Rokus and other devices. They run seamlessly and need no attention or almost daily reboots like my previous Netgear mesh system. The app is fairly pedestrian, but does serve almost anything I want to to do short of having to do things from a PC interface. They are fairly large such that they sit nicely on speaker stands that I got for them. The main downside is the price so I highly recommend getting the affordable 4 year Best Buy warranty in case something does fail.

  31. ChadR

The best mesh Wi-Fi system for large coverage area (6000 – 8500 sqft). You really can’t go wrong with this product as it provides nearly 100% of your bandwidth via Wi-Fi. I have tried many mesh systems that have failed to meet the everyday need for streaming, working, up/download files, etc.

  32. Chejsml98e

Great high end system. I now have super signal throughout my house and entire yard (and even some ways down the road)

  33. JohnH

Very easy setup. I upgraded from an earlier version of the product. Very fast download speeds averaging from 1100 to 1350 mbs. The signal is strong and reliable throughout my home. Definitely worth the money.

  34. RobertF

I purchased this product to extend my wifi coverage in my 4500sq ft home. The product advertised to cover up to 9000 sq ft and I was getting minimal coverage. Additionally, the Wifi 6e connectivity was not consistent with my connected devices. The signal would continuously drop. However, with all that being said, when the system was up and running I had tested speeds up to average 952 mbps.

  35. Samscats

Pretty good system. We don’t get as much square footage as advertised but we are going through a wall. I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t have good reach when one is almost right on top of the other on the second floor.

  36. JosephG

I traded up from a Linksys 5 Mesh System. This system covers my house (2 stories and a basement), my garage (separate) and my yard 1/2 acre). I have not suffered a loss of signal due to the system since I installed it about a month ago.

  37. SDMK

Easy to configure if using existing network name. No issues connecting over 70+ devices both wired and wireless.

  38. RobIdaho

We have almost 100 smart devices in our home. It works all of them very well. Also the placement of them allows us to take WiFi anywhere on our property.

  39. Dwil2001

Excellent mesh system for a large house. Having Wi-Fi 6E is great. Easy to configure and their support was quick to answer my chat session.

  40. JoseA

Excellent purchase. I will recommend this product.

  41. user735862

Product works as advertised. All three nodes are wired connected in a large 3 story home about 748 sq. feet. No issues so far. Good customer service if needing help setting up the other nodes and connecting older Wi-Fi computers.

  42. GinaF

Very very unhappy with this product!
It works one day and then not the next.. extremely frustrating with a house full of people.. would not recommend this product

  43. Kenn

Have had this mesh system set up for 2 weeks now. Set up was pretty straightforward and I did not have any issues setting up. This system is an upgrade from a Linksys system I have had for a little over 5 yrs, so an upgrade was due. Everything is working perfectly and I’m getting speeds in the 900’s (per the app, I have an 800 plan through Xfinity) I do recommend this product. If there are any complaints with the product it is that it is much taller then my prior Linksys system and the blue light is pretty bright, think of a night light

  44. ErikC

Always disconnects from each other have to constantly change channels on network. As of today the entire thing doesnt work hard wired into my spectrum Modem i get 1033 mbps down and 36 mbps up. Through the mesh tower hard wired and wireless i get 23 mbps down and 2.3 mbps up. This was a great system when it worked now its a brick. Hopefully the protection plan from bestbuy allows me to swap it out for a replacement.

  45. AndrewL

Havent had a problem since i purchased these. Simple to use and maintain.

  46. ManuelM

I had struggled over the years with a gaming WiFi router that provided mediocre coverage over my 2900 sqft home. Saw this on sale and that the speeds could keep up with my fiber optic internet, so i had to get it. I easily say it was an upgrade in performance and coverage. My kids on the opposite end of the house are getting 900+upload/800+download speeds on their PS5 and Gaming computer. The rest of the house is flawlessly steaming tv/movies simultaneously. Great purchase

  47. Ring2

Just average performance but a premium price. Signal reach is not great even with added nodes.

  48. Srielau

I used the previous generation Linksys product with 5 nodes and it kept dropping devices probably because I had way to many smart devices.
With this new setup I only have three and get better coverage and no more dropped devices

  49. Stud

Not a stable wifi. Have issues all the time with multiple devices and drops devices off the system. Constantly says connected but no internet. Will be going back to my old Wifi sytem and throwing this away

  50. MrCrow

These perform at top speed and I’ve have zero problems with them.
