    I have a detached garage, approximately 40ft from my brick house. Wifi reception in the garage was a constant buffering experience in frustration, the AC1200 has improved my reception 90%, I can effectively use my computer or watch tv.

    It was challenging to set up. The instructions were somewhat confusing and things didn’t progress as expected. It took me nearly an hour to successfully complete the setup.

    But once set up, it works as expected.

    We needed wifi in our garage but our router couldn’t stay connected due to the distance. So we bought this wifi extender to see if it would help. At setup, we had troubles with it connecting. We repeated the steps multiple times. So then we called Linksys customer support and they did a great job at continuing to try things until we got it to connect and then they followed through with making sure we had a strong internet connection where we needed it. Our smart tv gets internet in the garage now!

    Purchased the Linksys Wi-Fi extender to increase range in our upstairs. Easy set up and immediately had better Wi-Fi in areas that had been hard to get consistent coverage to.

    This product does not give 100% as my TV still goes in and out at times. My computer still is not as fast as it could be even with the extra boost.

    Linksys 1200 WiFi extension purchase has help me get better WiFi reception to the rooms further from the WiFi modem. WiFi connection is so much better.

    Poor product. The extender keeps disconnecting every 5 or so mins and would take another 30 secs to reconnect.

    Had a VERY difficult time getting it setup. Linksys was very rude and not helpful. I personally would look at another brand if I was repurchasing. There directions are not clear, and creates additional issues. Finally did get it setup with the help of my internet provider.
    Basically, they had to manually extend the WPS time needed to connect.

    This did not work for me. I have WOW and the modem is in our back office. I placed the extender in our hallway, about 5′ from the modem. I connected the extender easily, but every time we connected our devices to the extender, they froze up or disconnected.

    it took awhile to connect to make sure it was working, but it finally did, so giving this some time. I originally bought it to extend wifi to my ring doorbell in the back other than that i would’ve of bought, because my router/modem combo usually works great with all my other devices, guess just needed a tad more extension…

    Very easy to set up using the WPS buttons on this device and my wireless router. Seems to work fine in extending the signal to my new tv in the family room.

    Wow! I never give five stars but this item actually rates five stars. I had considered (and bought) a new mesh router. It didn’t meet my expectations but when I bought this extender, not only did it meet, but wildly exceeded my expectations.

    Anywhere in the house gave me a reading of too close to modem. The detached garage gave me a phone reading of too far from modem. I’m sure it’s a good product. But, it didn’t work for me.

    Not recommended, paired with Linksys router, forces you to have an application in your phone to access and the speed is awful and drops connection frequently

    I would have given this 5 stars had there not been an issue with an internet outage and a two-hour tech rep session only to figure out on my own to redo the WPS set up to get back on-line. Other than that it was easy to set up, has greatly improved wifi connections and speed on the other side of the house. Would be happier if this would automatically reconnect after an internet outage, but luckily this does not happen often.

    I do not recommend this product. I have had to reset this extender every few days since I set it up. It is easy to reset but as someone that works from home it is an inconvenience to keep having the same dead spot because the product that should fix this is unreliable.
    I would have returned this but I did not set this up as soon as it arrived and when I did it worked fine for 2 days then a reset, I thought maybe it was my internet. It is not the internet it is truly the extender.

    I’m very happy with the purchase of the WiFi extender. Prior to owning the extender the signal to the farthest end of my house was very weak and sometimes spotty, now it is at maximum strength with the extender. I found that the set up was very easy, and the instructions was spot on. The price was very reasonable for the peace of mind I now have. I would this extender to family and friends.
