Very sturdy and easy to put stand on. I had an older 4k 27″ LG Monitor. I liked the 27″ inch but this 32 ” Monitor is great. Just the right size. Wonderful color. It was about twice the cost of some of the other 32′ but for the amount of time I spend in front of my monitor it is well worth the extra cost to me.

Overall I really liked this monitor, but I ultimately ended up returning it after several exchanges due to minor quality control issues. The color quality was wonderful and the HDR was really impressive for an edge-lit screen. The screen felt really responsive and I liked the ATW polarizer, which made IPS glow much better than other IPS monitors I’ve tried. However, I had a few panel defects including a mark behind the screen on one sample and two samples that had a small dark area in the center of the screen on certain grey colors causing a dirty screen effect. If I was using it for gaming primarily I likely wouldn’t notice it, but I also do some photography work and the darkened centered bothered me. It could have been a bad batch that had this uniformity issue though.

I bought it for my son, and he loves it! He is very detail-oriented, and when he is pleased with something, it usually means the thing is a good one!

[Intro] The LG 32GQ950-B has a lot of good things going for it like 4K, 144Hz+, non-curved, G-Sync compatible, Freesync Pro, beautiful OSD, and a $1000 price tag, when that price is available.
[Problem] Unfortunately, this monitor suffers from an auto dimming feature that is very noticeable when just using Windows and the HDR mode locks you out of the color options, so buyer beware.
[Auto Dimming] In games or movies, no problem, but when in a windowed environment like Windows/Linux/MAC OS, if transitioning from a dark screen to a light screen, you will notice the monitor SLOWLY transitioning its brightness up due to the auto dimming feature.
The auto dimming also becomes VERY NOTICEABLE when the screen is 50% dark and 50% light as the auto dimming cannot decide on a brightness level resulting in what looks like a very slow FLICKERING. Adjusting or even turning off the local dimming has no effect. There is no option to turn off the auto-dimming.
[HDR] The other problem this monitor has is locking out the color options in HDR mode. Again, in games or movies, no problem. However, when using Windows you will notice the colors are heavily washed out. This is normally a result of HDR mode on monitors, but this monitor heavily fades the colors out. You can use Nvidia settings to readjust the color as a work around, but the monitor wiil take those settings and stack them resulting in over saturated colors in game.
Disabling the HDR is the only solution for maintaining consistent colors across Windows and games, but the monitor has to be overclocked to 160 Hz in the menu to disable the HDR, which is very weird.
[Overall] It is too bad the auto dimming feature cannot be turned off to stop the slow flickering and the inability to use HDR mode in order to maintain consistent colors. Please be aware if you decide to use this as your daily driver.

Very nice monitor. I purchased for two reasons. I’m no gamer. One, a high refresh rate is easier on my eyes. Two, I use two monitors which means 5ft of monitors. I sit in front of one and the other is to my right so I need a good viewing angle without the screen getting washed out. These do a good job of that.
When they turn on the monitor startup screen looks super updated. It may sound stupid but I expect that from an expensive monitor. Before these I bought a couple viewsonics and it looked like DOS at startup. Cheap and cheesy feel for these price points.
You can also put these two together at an angle and there’s no gap between them like the Viewsonics. The Viewsonics had a 3/8” bump out at the bottom of the screen. So the more angle between the monitors the larger the gap.
My only complaint is the screen has a 1/2” frame. So there’s 1” between the two monitors when pushed together. My tv has way less than that. It seems like most of the monitors do this though.

Great gaming monitor. No color issues or blurring. Stoked.

So far I have had this item for almost 10 months. It gets a bit warm, but it should. It accomplishes so much compared to items peers in pricing. The synchronizing services provide a very smooth experience. Even at full chat for hours, the monitor has failed to falter. I couldn’t be happier, even given the large price tag. 100% I’d buy again and recommend.
Only flaw is the limitation of customization. But it’s not a deal breaker. It’s presets are amazing and fill the void.

This monitor is the best monitor I ever Had. The color looks crisp, natural, and well balanced.

Amazing i love it. Works great for play and xbox

Monitor is pretty good. Got it $400 off. I use it everyday.

Ive spent a lot of money trying different monitors, whether it be curved, ultrawide, 4K, OLED, 360hz refresh rate, you name it. This monitor is by far the most well rounded ive had the pleasure of using out of the 20+ monitors that i have purchased. 4K, 144hz, HDR, high brightness, FALD, low input lag, HDMI 2.1 for consoles… What else could you want? The only con i could think of is that it weighs quite a bit, so make sure you have a sturdy desk mount!

Best Buy states this monitor has integrated speakers. It does NOT. Other than that, its good. Get it on sale if you can.
ManuelV –
Best monitor for the price. 4k at 165 fps looks really sharp on the monitor

I was fortunate to buy this when it was only $829 a few weeks ago. I had previously tried the comparable 4K UHD Samsung monitor purchased online from “another” company and it had some glitchy issues which Samsung customer service was unable to fix. For example, the monitor would not turn on when the computer turned on snd I had to press the monitor power button each time. It also would not report as having the full 144 Hertz resolution in Windows display settings despite using a DisplayPort provided cable. It would show a maximum of 120 hz. So I had to return it. I tried the 27-in UHD model by LG and it was great, but I knew immediately that 32 inch was the correct size for gaming. Best Buy staff was terrific about the exchange and the purchase was easy and trouble-free at the Mission Valley store. This monitor allows you to easily change a menu setting to overclock it from 144 hz to 160 hz and I have been running it consistently at 160 hz without issues. So it’s basically like getting a 165 Hertz monitor.
This monitor has g-sync and freesync compatibility, but I found that my Nvidia 3080 video card kicks into high gear with full fans when using the g-sync as opposed to just letting the game use vertical sync options.
There are lots of fine-tuning features including the ability to change the lighting colors on the back side that illuminate the wall behind the monitor. The contrast and blacks and uniform lighting are terrific across the entire screen.
I strongly suggest that you only buy a 4K UHD monitor if you are going with 32 in. A 32-in QHD 1440 may show small square pixels which are noticeable when only a few feet from the screen. Would definitely buy from Best Buy again and even if you have to pay a higher price than I did, this is still a great monitor.
One more thing is that it comes with both a display port and HDMI cable capable of the highest 4K UHD resolution. The Samsung I had previously returned came only with a DisplayPort cable. HDMI cables are pretty expensive in the high resolution.

Heavy! When this showed up on my doorstep I was astounding at the packaging. It’s huge! I noticed a smaller tear on the box but there was no damage inside
RandyC –
Took awhile to get the settings and color profile where I wanted it but great monitor especially at the open box price I was able to get it at. Would definitely recommend.
THATFIELD –
The 32 inch screen is a perfect size for me. I had a 27 inch 4k monitor that I was happy with but I wanted something bigger. So far I love it. 4k with a 32 inch screen size is a perfect match. Im a RPG focused player so highest quality picture settings are my focus. I wouldn’t recommend buying at full retail, I got it on sale.

*FANTASTIC Monitor*
I tried a M32U (Almost as good) & about 4 1440p Monitors before landing on this one.
The image is SO CRISP @ 32inchs
Lets be clear, @ 27inch you DONT need 4k,
@ 32inch you DO NEED 4K IMO.
Cons- No auto input switch is the ONLY thing I can complain about.
Wait for a sale because OVER $899 I think its a bit pricey but I paid $796 because they matched Amazon!
I love LG & I LOVE BB
DGambino –
This is the best monitor I have ever owned. Check out RTINGS review for this monitor and you’ll see why it’s rated so highly. Only the Samsung G8 is better IMO but I got this for $829 and at that price – it can’t be beat.
Fox1 –
Really good 4k 32in monitor, just wish it had auto display switching.
TecSavy –
Excellent monitor picture out of the box with numerous menu screen options, but does need to be calibrated to get the best experience. The stand is solid and has a decent range of motion, but I would recommend a vesa mount. There are two HDMI ports and one display port which is adequate for my needs. I would wait for this monitor to go on sale, because it is way over priced. I did a lot of research before I got this monitor, and would definitely recommend you get this monitor.
Paulie –
It’s good for what you pay for. Nothing spectacular. It’s edge-lit and the HDR is also terrible, but that’s the same for all the monitors these days in this category minus superior but far more expensive outliers like the PG32UQX. Compared to the others in the same range, it’s a good all-rounder.

I was between the 42″ LG C2 TV and this for desk use. And after setting up the 32″ I know the 42″ C2 would’ve been too big for a 24″ deep desk. The oled picture of the C2 is better for deeper blacks but after putting over 1300 hours of gaming on the LG 27gp950 (not oled), whatever they call it special ATW polarizer they put on this 32gq950 is a good upgrade towards better blacks. SDR looks better than the HDR on this. With how bright it gets, the highlights pop fine anyway. Purchased for $829 and would buy again in a heartbeat. I play single player rpgs, fps, and horror games on PS5 and Series X.

Excelent buy, the product arrived in perfect condition and quickly

best purchase made for my set up. I wanted more real estate and this monitor gave it to me.

Great monitor. Graphics are amazing. Built in LED lights in the back make your set up look amazing.
KevinC –
Love everything about it. Except it doesn’t have a remote
Dthacker –
The monitor is very nice, looks amazing and is fast. No screen tearing during fast paced gaming. The only complaint is the monitor doesn’t turn on automatically with the device, I have to manually turn the monitor on / change the input. Other than than I really like the monitor.
DamKil316 –
Great monitor. Did not think i would notice that much of a difference going from 2k to 4k….Holy crap!
CapsFan –
Just a tad overpriced. Had everything I was looking for and works well
YevhenT –
Good monitor for work and gaming.
Monitor cannot detect the input video port automatically. If you want to connect laptop/second computer you need to select input port manually each time.

Having used another LG monitor (32GP83B-B.AUS) for years now I was looking into getting a high refresh rate 4k monitor. I compared practically all monitor types (TN/VA/IPS/OLED/QLED/MiniLED) at all price points from various manufacturers (Samsung, ASUS, Corsair, Sony/ etc.) and found this to be the best value in terms of performance.
With the reliability that I’ve had from my other monitor and a price match offer of $1000 for this, I found it to be a great value. Granted, I’ve price matched it again after purchase so the new total was $750, and I have to say anyone interested in this monitor should buy it immediately because this monitor is really superb and at almost half the price literally cannot be beat in terms of performance. I checked the history of sales for this monitor and this price is the floor that rarely happens so if you have any doubts, I say go for it.
The box it comes in is very large as it is a 32″ monitor, but it was secured very well and putting it together was straightforward as usual, and with the added benefits of LED lighting in the rear now as well. Some reviews complain about the fan noise but so far, even with it on max settings I haven’t heard anything over the sound of my computer so they may have had one-off’s.
Looking forward to many more years of use with this monitor for gaming/photo editing/etc.!

Phenomenal gaming monitor. Currently playing my PS5 on this monitor, first game played was Spider Man 2 and it runs it smoother than anything I’ve ever seen. You have to see it to believe it but finding this monitor on a sale was 1,000 % worth it.
JennyD –
Great for ps5 and PC awesome quality and 32” it’s perfect

Awesome screen, recommended for next gen gaming. Love playing on it and working on it.

Have both the 4k and 1440p LG monitors both are some of the best I’ve used and would highly recommend.

Ill lead with the grain of salt, i JUST got this so I cannot speak to the longevity of the product. It was shipped directly to my house in a massive box that did a great job of protecting the monitor. Be careful. It is a bit heavy, but I got it installed and placed and attached all the wires attached relatively easily. I turned it on and have not seen any dead pixels, but what I have seen is amazing quality. I connected my computer with a good quality DP cable adjusted the settings which you will need to do and it has been phenomenal. I started with a game with a lot of darkness and while you do get some blooming, the colors turned out fantastic. (Lies of P) I needed a computer that would also function for work, and while the brightness is a little more present, and while the colors are not perfect it functions very well as a productivity screen. If I did some tweaking, it would probably perform better, but I have not gotten around to setting up different profiles ( a great feature). The real determination of quality will be how long it lasts and ensuring it performs at the level. It’s at now but out of the box. It has been phenomenal especially because I got it almost 50% off on a Black Friday sale. Keep an eye out awesome sales do exist at $700 monitor for sure. Not quite sure I’d pay retail price. at that point I would probably look for an OLED. I have been debating between this and the Samsung G7 but after using this one I’m glad I got it. if I had one complaint it would be not having a remote. you have a button at the bottom that’s a single button so it’s easy to use. I would’ve enjoyed being able to control it with the remote.

Received in plain brown beatup cardboard box and monitor arrived defective with backlight bleed on the corners of the screen monitor especialy on the right side. Sent for return/refund.

I got this on sale for 699 and boy is it worth it. The color and clarity at this size are the perfect panel. Im running a 4080 in my rig do being able to push ultra settings and see the outcome is real nice. Would definitely reccommend when on sale
BathBuddha –
Upgrading from a 1080p screen, phenomenal how 4K looks like, especially at a decent refresh rate of 144hz on this monitor. Future upgrade might be a curved screen
StringentMax –
Amazing clarity and performance, just wish it would have been perfect
Joe614 –
Overall a great monitor! Not worth the price of $1299.99. Wait for a sale.
RobG –
It took me a while to figured it out the best set up to play with. But the monitor is great, easy to assemble and great quality.

Very little glow and picture is amazing. Please be aware the monitor has a built in fan that you can hear, though it is bery quiet.
Smear1987 –
I am coming from the HP Omen 27inch 1440 165hz monitor which honestly was amazing or at least i thought it was until i hooked this beast up. The clarity is amazing, the colors are great and the response time is awesome. If you can get this on sale i highly recommend. I have this paired with my 4080 and it has medshed perfectly with it.
ZachB –
Upgraded to this monitor after using a 4k 27in panel and the 32in panel is just far better imo. The Backlight Polarizer seemed like a bit of a nice to have but wow does it actually make a difference after using other IPS panels.
It is a really heavy display though clocking in around 21 lbs without the stand, so if you’re going to be monitor it to a monitor arm, make sure it’s a strong one.
StuckatHome –
This monitor’s display is flawless. I own a PS5 and the monitor compliments it to a tee. The display is bright, fast, responsive, and fully customizable. BE AWARE THAT THIS MONITOR DOES NOT INCLUDE SPEAKERS.
ReneG –
It’s a good monitor visually but had problems with ghosting while playing some games like hogwarts legacy and nba 2k. With the new oled monitors coming out, it’s hard to not go that route due to the perfect blacks and performance.
