My new machine is beautiful and easy to use. I love the controls on the front of the machine. Many new choices to make…..wow!! I like how you can use two different programs (steam fresh with wrinkle free) together:) The machine is quiet and the chime is gentle to the ears. Thanks LG!! We got these super on sale at best buy! We bought them originally for 1000 each, but then they went on super sale the week of Thanksgiving and they dropped to $700 each! What a deal! BestBuy was fantastic during the whole process, the delivery was great and they came right when they said they would. They held to their word and refunded the price change directly to my card and I was in and out with my $600 price change within a couple of minutes. The washer and dryer are fantastic…I’ve never had better machines! The only thing I don’t like is that I have to leave the door of the washer open in order to avoid mildew smells.

I’m giving it a 5 even though it didn’t work when delivered. LG customer service was pleasant and the tech came out right away to fix it. The tech said the igniter was damaged and had to be replaced. He said it happens from time to time because the igniter is fragile and it can be damaged if the unit is jolted during transport.
Contrary to another review, I feel the unit is quite. But then again, it spends all of its time in the laundry room and I don’t.
Get the pedestal if you are over 4 foot tall. It’s way overpriced but a necessity.
Cleanitup –
We purchased this Dryer (with matching washer) at our local Best Buy. We took the option for “Best Buy” to install it in our home. The dryer was installed and before the Best Buy folks and the installation people left (independent company hired by Best Buy), they ran a mock cycle with nothing in the machine. The drums turned and light went on (along with the bells and whistles on the front). Everyone left.
The next day I ran a load of 4 towels in the washer. I put them in the dryer and used the dryer manual as to what special setting to dry them on. The drum turned, the lights went on however the towels did not dry. 4 hours and 4 different settings later the towels were still damp and I had to put them on drying racks in my house. Here is where the big problem hit. I called Best Buy and they couldn’t get out to me for another 5 days. They told me it could be an installation problem and that I would have to independently make an appointment with the installation company to come out to look to see it wasn’t an installation problem. The installation people said it probably was a machine problem and that we would have to wait for Best Buy to send their “geek squad” out. The pointing fingers at each other was frustrating. I called LG and they told me I could just switch out the machine at no cost. So needless to say If there is a problem, you will run into a hassle. 5 days later, I’m still waiting on Best Buy to come out to look at the dryer.

Still only have the washer for a short time. Drain hose was delivered with a slice in it so it leaked the first time we used but Best Buy came right out and fixed it (although we had to wait a week for the part). Main reason for purchasing it was the for the long term durability. We’ll see.

It is a great dryer I love it I dries in half the time as my old dryer. I have no wrinkles. I love all the functions on my dryer. I tell everyone about it.
