Within budget and exactly what we were looking for to improve our laundry in our new home. Has been working perfect. Difficulty at first it wouldn’t dry properly (dryer vent in our house issue, NOT machine issue), so we were thankful it had the error codes pop up and using the manual to trouble shoot. This is a great dryer so far – it is our backup while we can still hang laundry outside so we haven’t used it too much. We installed it ourselves and it was a little bit of a pain. If we were proffessionals, we wouldn’t have minded that the directions are confusing, but we aren’t and there was definitely some swearing. Plus, there should be an option to buy the stacking kit and cord with the dryer. I had to buy them from another seller and spend the time to figure out if they were compatible.

Moved into a home with a very old dryer. Went into Best Buy the other day to get an idea of options, price, etc and quickly decided on this one. Couldnt be any happier! The Best Buy employee I worked with was knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful! Install was very easy and it runs way more efficiently than our old dryer. Gets clothes to the right temperature to dry but not burn. This is especially important with clothes for our newborn baby. What a great deal, VERY happy with my purchase!

Do not assume a 6′ pig tail will work if your receptacle is at baseboard level. I installed the dryer myself because the sales associate did not mention that the stack kit needed to be ordered. I ended up moving the receptacle 12″ up the wall.

We were initially pleased with this dryer – it functioned as advertised. However, it recently started making a loud banging noise with every turn of the drum (as if there was a heavy shoe in the dryer). After consulting the internet, I opened it up and found that the drum had started to split along the welded seam (picture attached). The owner’s manual states that the drum is under a parts warranty for 10 years. OK, called LG and asked for a new drum. However… they will not send a part directly to me. They can only send it to an authorized repair technician. Long story short, it will cost a minimum of $289 for diagnosis/repair of the drum (that I can already see is defective and can replace myself). After 9 days and several rounds of calls to LG (for a combined 2 hours, 20 minutes and counting), I have not been able to speak to anyone who can authorize either sending the part to me or covering the cost of the diagnosis/repair, even though it is clearly a defective part. Extremely frustrating to be spending this much time and energy on the problem, and still have no working dryer, during the holiday season.
