It’s a sharp looking unit. I was even compelled to get the car polish out and make the chrome gleam and glisten .. which it did. The end chime is a bit George Jetson but its unique melody catches my ear even with other distractions. Dryer technology hasn’t changed as much as the washers have so there isn’t much else to comment on. The unit is quiet and gets the job done. I use one or two setting most of the time. If I need to dry something different from the normal items the controls make it easy to fish for another setting while observing the default heat and dryness settings.

I have really enjoyed my new dryer. It drys much quicker than previous old dryer. More efficient and the clothes look so much better.

I’m a huge fan of this dryer. It works really well and looks great. It’s also really quiet and efficient.
The only complaint (and I use the term very loosely) is that the steamer function really doesn’t do a great job of reducing static like it advertises. Then again, I’ve not really found anything else that reduces static either.
I’ve not tried out the rack for drying sweaters and other things like that, but if/when I do I will update my review.
If you’re looking for a great dryer then you couldn’t do much better than this one.

So my wife and I had been suffering for years with our late 90’s Whirlpool washer/dryer. Don’t get me wrong they worked and cleaned ok and were still kicking, so no complaints against WP. I decided to pull the trigger on a LG steam dryer (and washer) and was a little hesitant about these new “efficient” technologies. We got everything installed and they looked great. The steam feature is awesome and will save hundreds of dollars in my drycleaning bill yearly. I think the most noticable change was how quiet this dryer is. I actually thought both the washer and dryer werent working at first. We used to have to close our laundry room door in order to hear our TV which was UPSTAIRS! This dryer actually makes it fun to do laundry…(well until the love wears off) I would HIGHLY recommend the extra money for this device.

This dryer is fantastic. Very quiet and has many different settings allowing a better choice based on the item needing to be dried. The steam option is great. Used it on a shirt in the morning and worked like a charm.

Awesome. I can’t say enough good about this dryer, and with Best Buys 60 day price match, I feel like I hit the lottery. It’s also cut my ironing in half.
This dryer dries my clothes in a 3rd the time of my old Whirlpool. The different cycles cover every possible fabric from delicate to heavy. This is my first front-loader even though I’ve had high efficiency. I was unsure whether to go with the Samsung or the LG. I am SOOOOO glad I went with this LG set. It’s seems it’s always the small details that make the difference and that’s true with this dryer. Love the little musical tune that it has. I could go on and on and on. Merry Early Christmas to me….

I bought this dryer (together with the matching washer) and I am amazed! It is quiet, so no need to close the laundry room door. It dries the clothes/sheets/towels efficiently, and with little effort on my part. I have used the steam cycle to help remove wrinkles in some items, and it worked great. READ THE MANUAL! You’ll be happy if you do. Also, I did wash and dry a king-size comforter in the LG super-capacity pair, and it came out beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dryer works great so far. It is very quiet, and has more than enough features to do anything you could possibly need a dryer to do. It does leave my clothes a little more damp than I like in the default setting, but that is easily fixed with the push of a button. My only issue would be that the ending “buzzer” (it actually plays a little tune) is not loud enough for me to hear unless I am close by.

We bought a Samsung steam washer and dryer set last year. The washer had problems balancing a load since day one. It would walk all over our laundry room. Samsung came out 6 times before I made them give me my money back so we could get new machines. We sold the Samsung dryer online, which never had problems, and bought this one as a set with the washer. No complaints

We like everything about this dryer except for one thing- our model is dark gray, and the labels for the controls are small and light gray. Sounds like a petty whine until you realize that you can’t see to operate the device. Very little contrast makes it almost impossible to read what each button or dial setting says, especially in our garage, where the washer/dryer live. As a solution, we put one of those little squeezy LED keychain lights on a string and have it nearby to shine on the front panel when running the appliance. Does the trick. Same issue with the washer, but again no big deal with the light handy. They both perform quite well, haven’t had a chance to try out all of the bells and whistles. Steam/sanitizing cycle works great for pillows. Both washer and dryer are super quiet, and have a huge capacity for comforters.
And the music it plays when done is a nice departure from the obnoxious buzzer on older devices. The first time the dryer was finished, we thought the ice cream truck was driving by. I would definitely recommend this appliance, just put it in a brightly lit area and enjoy the music.

We bought this LG dryer with the companion washer as a set duringone of Best Buy’s sales, so we got them at a great price. We haven’t been disappointed, either! Although I didn’t originally want to spend as much as we did for them even on sale (I’m a cheapskate!), I read the other reviews of these products and realized that they were more than well worth the money. And it’s SO quiet! I hardly know it’s there!
There are more features than I’ll probably ever use, but it’s nice to have options such as steaming wrinkles out of clothes.

We have had this product for a month and we love this LG. Consumer report says this is a high rated product. And so that is why we went with LG oppose to any other product.. We had refrigidare and whirl pool and they lasted 6 years on the washer and the dryer is still going I gave it to my daughter.(The dryer)

I was looking to replace my top loader washer and dryer with hopes of quieting them down. They are in a room next to my audio / video room. I was pleased with how much it helped with removing the dryer noise. The door opening is too low when loading the dryer so I built my own pedestals to raise them up. BB offers some for the pair but they are way expensive. I don’t use the steam in the dryer but I can see it being very useful with babies and people with weakened immune issues. It is so fast. I had space issues with the install so I used the optional bottom vent though I found it very difficult to use without using my jig saw to remove the knock-out. The optional side vents looked easy to use though. LG does offer a kit for the side vents but I don’t know if BB does offer it. There are so many features to comment on but I have to mention how much I enjoy the sweet little song that it plays when the clothes are dry. It sure beats the tacky buzzer that my old one made. Nice when paired with the washer at a fair price. In my research I found it to be the top models for efficiency at this price. I do wish that it automatically went to wrinkle guard. As it is you have to push a button at set up for each load. Or at least I haven’t found a button for that.

We gravitated towards this with a super sale and bought it as a set with it’s counterpart washer. It has so many features that it’s mind numbing. We love the steam features and we were actually relieved to find out that we didn’t have to buy an extra hookup to supply the dryer with a water line. It has a slide out tray that you put water into and it lets you know if you are low on water. One negative is that they reccommend filtered water, so we had to buy a jug that we keep in the laundry room. Otherwise, the steam cycles are awesome! The rack drying is also a plus. We’ve been able to sanitize dog toys and our small dog beds without running them through the washer. We’re amazed at how quiet everything is and love that this dryer is big enough to fit a comforter and still have a little bit of extra room. Also love the ending signal because it plays a little song instead of a loud, annoying buzzing sound. Only one other negative I’ll mention, but wasn’t a big deal. Best Buy made us purchase a new power cord and ventilation kit. There was nothing wrong with the ones we had on the old set, but they require it with delivery and installation. So make sure you account for the extra cost of those two things. Otherwise, we are quite pleased.

We got this around Christmas on sale (almost 45% off). I am too budget conscious to pay full price for anything. I have a family of 5 in activities and sports, so I am constantly doing laundry. This dryer is so quiet, I barely hear it running. It is large enough to put a comforter in too. I like the variety in drying cycles. However, sometime the jeans do not get entirely dry for the time it is set up for. So I have to add time. But other than that it is a great dryer (for the price I paid).

I have had the dryer for about 2 months now and completely love everything about it. Yes, the music at the end is amazing not annoying!! I have two kids and yeah sometimes I forget I have stuff in the washer/dryer and I can hear the song play in the back of my house and it helps me remember if I’m busy with them!

I am so in love with both my new washer, and my new dryer. I would definitely suggest getting the pedestals. I know its extra money on top of the small fortune put out on the set, but you don’t break your back getting your clothes in and out of the pair. Plus, you get so much more storage. Dries really nicely. Again, there is so much space inside. I love that I’m able to dry my king-sized quilt without having to reposition it in the dryer 4 or 5 times to redry it.

Overall great dryer! Love the steam feature; though the steam feature works best with a few clothes at once – not just one item that may need a touch up. This is my 1st steam dryer so I researched dryers for a couple weeks before purchasing. The appeal for me was that the steam feature lets you add water as needed when you desire to use it. Many dryers require a hook up to the washer which I have heard from friends can leak often.
