Clothes come out soft and smelling great. Light inside is nice in that you can always find that missing sock.

i love my new dryer! had to buy it and a washer @ the same time. i lucked up and found the lg washer and dryer on sale. it ended up having way more bells and whistles than i had hoped for. i am a fan of lg products anyway, but so far, this has lived up to its name.

The dryer was very easy to set up and use with no additional help. I did everything for myself. The dryer is quiet and very efficient. It always finishes much earlier than the set time. The dampness sensors stop the drying function when the clothes are dry. This saves energy and time. The only complaint I have is the difficulty I had placing a dryer bar fabric softener in the drum. Due to a lack of flat spaces to stick the bar to, I had to get creative on the placement. I used one of the horizontal paddles that are fixed inside the drum. That was the only place the bar would stay. Every other location I tried resulted in the bar coming loose and banging around with the clothes.

This replaced a good-quality Amana set, and it’s far and above any washer/dryer we’ve ever owned. It’s quiet, it’s fast, and it does a great job getting things dry.

Bought this as a set with the front load washer. Dries clothes really quickly. Sensor dry is a nice feature. Light inside makes finding that last sock easy. Will dry a load of towels in about 25 mins- twice the size of a load that took an hour in our old dryer.
Phoenix76 –
Awesome dryer with enough settings to dry different sized loads of various levels of wetness.

This is my first front load dryer and I have to say that so far I am loving this LG dryer! Easy to use & dries clothes well. The only improvement would be to add a wrinkle release cycle so that when the dryer goes off if you dont get to it right away the dryer would kick back on for a few minutes to keep the wrinkles out.

The few negative reviews about this dryer must be the very odd exception, as we have had this machine for 2 months and we love it. I bought it for my wife for Mothers Day and she says it is 10x better than her last one. I cant understand the people that said it is noisy, b/c we can barely hear it running. It dries clothes quickly and we have no complaints with it at all.

I purchased this dryer and the matching washer and they are amazing. They are super quiet and very easy to use. I recomend them highly. When my friends and family need a new washer and dryer these are what I will recomend

I couldn’t be happier. Lots of flexibility with the features. Quiet.

Besides the streamline look, this dryer has more than met my expectations. Good size loads, many settings for the time and drying needs. Love it.

I am so happy we chose this dryer. It is super efficient. I love that it doesn’t take all day to dry the clothes. It used to take me all day to do a couple loads of laundry with my old electric dryer. This electric dryer is amazing and I was able to dry a full load of laundry within 30-40min. That is the world record for any dryer I have ever had. It even beats my mom’s gas dryer.

The dryer works great. Cost is minimal to operate. Would make the purchase again!!
WasherOfManyLoads –
I reviewed the matching washer and gave rave reviews for that. This dryer is even better. It is the cheapest front-loading LG dryer we could find at Best Buy, but we do not feel like we skimped at all. So it doesn’t have steam or other bells and whistles. All we know is, you set it and forget it. When the melodic chime comes on, your clothes are dry. What more can you want?
Unlike the washer, this dryer is truly silent (by dryer standards). It softly hums and you can hear the clothes bumping around inside, but you could put a baby to sleep next to it. We have had not electrical or mechanical problems with it in the first two months of ownership. It is one of the best appliance purchases we’ve made in recent memory.

Efficient and quiet … except when it sings to tell me it’s done!

All the aspects of the sale to delivery were excellent.
I went by the recommendation of the sales person.
The delivery guys were very professional.
The machine is better than I expected.

This dryer is very quiet. It has a sensor, so it will automatically adjust the drying cycle as needed. This is a nice feature as it saves you energy, plus your clothes don’t shrink and come out piping hot. You can also get a $25 rebate from the power company for this dryer because of this feature.
The controls are easy to set and understand and there are plenty of options. It has the smart diagnosis feature which allows you to call LG and have the unit emit a code to tell them what the problem is. I also like that it plays a little tune instead of the annoying buzz our old dryer made.
Noypitohoy –
I love this dryer! It dries clothes very quickly. The feature that I love most is the sensor dry. I don’t have to check to make sure that all the clothes are dry after it stops.
Bill6243 –
This unit dries different sized loads quite well, without overdrying. This saves a lot of wear and tear on the clothes.

My wife and I decided to purchase this dryer after reviewing Best Buy’s own reviews as well as over at LG.com and various other places over the Internet. Some of my colleagues at work have had great experiences with the LG brand in general, so we decided to give it a shot.
So far, it’s been an excellent investment. We originally had a 25-year-old Kenmore dryer that simply stopped heating. The difference really is night and day. The sensors in the dryer are able to tell both humidity and temperature, so you can set, for example, Permanent Press to be default or “More Dry” if you have thick fabric without having to worry about heating it too much. And it’s true — whatever it thinks it needs to start out at in terms of length of time to dry, it will adjust this based on what’s actually in the dryer. Therefore, if you’re used to waiting for an hour for clothes to dry, get ready — they’ll legitimately be done in 15 – 20 minutes.
We’ve only had the unit over the weekend, but we’ve already been able to cut our washing time by two-thirds. We still have a 6-year-old GE washer that’s still going strong. So, maybe in another 6 months are so, if the LG continues to perform well, we might get the matching washer.

This dryer makes me furious every time i use it! It takes 3 hours to completely dry all of the clothes! I wanted to take it back but i was 1 day over the 30 day money back guarantee. I will NEVER buy anything LG again!!!!
cocoamae –
I have only had this dryer for about a month but I love it.
peekskilldad –
Have only had this for about 3 weeks. Got a very good price on sale. Not much to say except that it seems to do a good job and has plenty of capacity for our needs. Have really only used one cycle so far (the automatic one) so can’t speak about all the features.
Tremendusky –
Forget those expensive machines. This dryer is amazing!
Williamsburg –
Do not buy this machine! Mine lasted less than 6 months and has now been out or order for 8 weeks. LG has promised to fix it, ordered parts from outside the country, made more promises and the machine is still not fixed. This company has the worst Customer Non-service that I have ever seen. Maybe their products are good when they are good; but when they are bad, they are very bad. Spend your money with someone who will stand behind their warranty and respond to their customers. Avoid this machine!

The dryer is great. Like the many options. Love sensor dry, dryer will automatically stop when clothes are dry. Very efficient too! Pros: electricity bill dropped, many options, reversible door and very, very quiet. Cons: Have to bend slightly to load, unless you buy pedestal for $250. Other than that, dryer is great.
Hope this reviews helps you out as they did for me and let to my purchase, don’t regret it!

I’d been limping along with a dryer that took numerous cycles to dry clothes so this is a huge improvement! I love all the settings and the sensor drying feature. It dries most loads in 45-60 mins (or less). It’s also very quiet! I think there is a slight design flaw in the lint intake. Dryer sheets and small clothing items seem to get caught in small seem between the metal drum and intake plastic. I’ve just changed to liquid fabric softener and make sure to use a dryer bag for the small delicates – not a huge deal, the dryer took 2 months to be delivered so I’m not returning it for that. All in all I’m incredibly happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.
lamess –
I got a great deal on this dryer, but I would have paid full price for the quality! It dries everything quickly and has a lot of options for temperatures and stuff. It is super quiet, and my husband loves the little tune it plays when it is done. I love the freshen up cycle! Just make sure you get the dryer hose to go with it. This was my first time buying a washer/dryer and I assumed the dryer came with a hose since it was in the list of suggested accessories when I purchased the set online, but I was wrong and had to rush to the store to get the hose when the delivery guys were at my house.

We replaced our old dryer with this one, and what a difference! Our old dryer took 2-3 rounds to completely dry the clothes. Usually we could just do 1 load of laundry a day. When we got this dryer, I did 4 loads of laundry in 1 day. Most loads are completely dry after about 40 minutes. We use the automatic setting with the sensor and the clothes are dry every time. I get the laundry done SO much faster now! The only bad thing is the “buzzer” (not really a buzzer – it plays a song) is not loud enough. In a busy house with 2 young kids, we usually can’t hear it going off. That’s not a big deal though, since it does a great job drying our clothes.
mechanicalengineer –
Dryers are pretty much universal aside from some minor differences. I chose this model because I had the matching washer. I liked that LG put the dryer light near the door so you don’t have to stare into it when removing the clothes. It has more options than most laundry-doers need to use; however, the dryness level sensor is great. I love that I don’t bake my clothes like with my old GE dryer/oven. Drying time is perfectly matched with the washer. I don’t wait around for things to finish / reload. I like the audible tones for end of cycle but have it disabled, but the dryer does produce a slight thumping when running. It’s more pronounced when it starts up, but otherwise the unit is quiet.
petsandkids –
We have a busy household with 2 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. Lots of fur, dirt and sweat! We researched ALL types of machines, read reviews, compared cost vs value/performance and looked at ALL brands for a month before choosing. We bought this matching set for it’s good reviews and fair price. We LOVE them and don’t regret this choice at all. We had an old, standard washer and dryer before these. People say you either love them or hate them. Others say “follow the manual!” and yet negative nancy’s warn you they cause hammer pipe (this is an easy, cheap fix, if it happens although it didn’t happen to us). I say embrace the differences HE machines offer and stop whining! These work GREAT!! Every article gets wet, every stain and dirt particle gets removed and no stinks of sweat, animals, or perfumes!!
Bbear1 –
At last I can do a weeks worth of laundry in just two loads! Best yet, they all come out perfectly dry and wrinkle-free. No more ironing of polo shirts, jeans just fold and put away. Even the towels come out dry the first time through. Has to be cutting down on my electric bill. First bill showed about a 5% lower bill that I attribute to the new drier.
healthyboy77 –
Have had the new dryer for a week, and very pleased so far. Thought I was going to go Samsung, but the LG had a few more features and was a little bit smaller (not a tiny consideration when your washer/dryer are stacked in the kitchen!). Quiet, fairly speedy, easy to use, and laden with features. Dried a queen-size down blanket on low in just over thirty minutes! Had a small scratch on the door window but BestBuy graciously offered to replace or credit me back 10% (I took the latter). Here’s hoping my new dryer lasts for a good long while.

This machine is quiet, can hold quite a bit and is energy efficient. We love it.
lincv11 –
Needed a new dryer I like LG products and the price was right. This dryer saves me time and has more selections.
FrugalGourmet –
This was the first dryer we ever bought. It was a good value for the price we paid. It get clothes dry, and that usually takes between 40 – 60 minutes. I’ve noticed more static than usual after using this product.
