Great picture quality, works well with Mac Studio. Built-in speakers are mediocre, but get the job done. Main gripe is not being able to control speaker volume via the Mac OS and needing to use the little stick under the screen.

I only had a while to test it because I haven’t built my new system yet, but it’s beautiful! Very crisp image, perfect colors, amazing to me. Never had this type of monitor before, nor this large, so I’m especially impressed.
I see I’m going to have to increase font sizes, because everything is microscopic. And my collection of 3D art from tutorials and forums online do not look so “hi-rez” anymore with this amazing monitor.
No complaints! I’m hoping to use this monitor in my little 3D studio once I get it together, and it looks like it will be perfect for the job.

I just picked up my monitor at Best Buy curbside delivery and couldn’t wait to get it home and set it up. Unpacking it was very easy. It’s just a monitor, the stand, cables, and packing material. I opened the pamphlet to see if there was anything to know ahead of time. There are pictures, not words, of how to set up.
Set up was really easy. the square part of the stand snaps into place on the back of the monitor. There is a little pull clip that you slide to remove the stand from the back. That sits on top of the pole part of the stand, which sits on the curved part of the stand. It took me a minute to figure out that you have to unscrew the little black scren from the stand before you install the pole part onto the curved part, and then reinstall the screw from the bottom of the stand. It’s small and screws into place to hold the two parts of the stand in place. No problem there.
The power buttom is on the bottom on the monitor. So you just reach your hand under the monitor to push the power button. This same button is the settings button where you can customize everything. I set the volume, brightness, etc. which was easy.
I’m not a tech savvy person at all, but it was easy to figure out which cable to plug into the monitor and my laptop in the USB plug.
What I really liked is that you can slide the monitor up and down easily on the stand to reach your preferred height. I’m tall, like my office chair high, and there was plenty of room to move the monitor up and down.
The built-in sound system is pretty good quality. I tried out listening to music videos, audio files, and so on and the quality is good.
Picture quality is great. It looks beautiful. Vibrant colors, no distortion, etc.
My HP laptop is small and it was really hurting my eyes to use it all day for work. And my neck and shoulders were hurting all the time from looking downward. With my new monitor those problems will soon disappear. As I sit and type my review it’s so comfortable. The screen settings have my text and screen larger than normal and it’s such a breeze to look up at the monitor and SEE everything. My laptop screen flips under my laptop so i just folded it out of the way. I can flip it back up since the external monitor does not have a built in camera. I didn’t care about that.
Finally, this 32″ monitor is big! But I don’t regret buying this size. It makes such a huge difference in my ability to see all of my detailed powerpoint and excel file details without having to zoom in.
Very nice monitor, beautiful screen quality, easy to set up and use, and alleviates eye, neck, shoulder pain. What could be better?

– The plastic used for the body looks cheap, especially the back.
– Weird color combination – Front black, back white and stand silver. Not sure why LG decided to go with 3 colors don’t blend well.
– Annoying beep sounds when turning on/off and operating menu. I couldn’t turn it off.
I loved the display, but couldn’t stand the look and beep sound, so I had to return it. I bought a Dell which looks more decent & professional.

This monitor does a lot of things right but if you want to play games in 4K then you might want to look at something along the lines of AORUS or ROG gaming monitors. For productivity work, this monitor is a good choice.

This IPS monitor is FAR better than other VA (vertical alignment) monitors I’ve used – for only about $100 more. Angle of view is much better. Color are vibrant and bright. While the text at 4k is crisp and clear, you may want to increase text size, lower resolution, for easier reading.

Replaced a much older 4K monitor with this LP monitor. Fonts are crisp and easy to read even with relatively small fonts. Bezel are small, to allow multiple monitors side-by-side. Colors are good to accurate, after adjustment.
The built-in speaker is a bonus. With an Nvidia GPU, the Nvidia High Definition audio driver can be used without a separate audio cable.

I use for desktop photo editing and viewing on- line video content. The colors appear accurate and I’ve not outpaced the refresh rate. This monitor is huge: the only annoyance is my desk should have been deeper as I need to move my vision focus a great deal when using all of the viewing area.

This LG monitor is incredibly good. I replaced two monitors with this LG and don’t regret it, the 4K resolution makes it easy to view two screens at a time. The speakers aren’t very loud and quality is mediocre so plan on having other speakers.
I use this monitor for programing and reading, and the Read picture mode is perfect.

Would give this 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact you can’t adjust the height of this stand and it sits up slightly to high for my preference. The display quality is great however and no bugs unlike the Samsung I got prior. Quality is very solid and for the money, I feel its a great value but it would have been even better without such a tall, unadjustable stand.

It may be a warranty issue/just mine but its so friggin random.

This looks great in 4K, you really can tell the difference between 1080p and this. I use this to edit photos and video with good accuracy. I recommend you calibrate your screen for best results. The speakers are pretty decent too.

Looks very good with my Mac Studio M2 Max. Not as convenient as the all in one iMac because for some settings I have to go into the menu directly in the monitor as opposed to controlling through the Mac. One issue—and I’m not sure it’s not he monitor at fault— is that my Mac won’t stay in sleep mode. Something keeps waking it up and I think it’s the monitor. I could be wrong. I’ll have to do more testing. I haven’t seen any performance issues with this 4K monitor but then again, the Mac Studio is very powerful and should be able to handle any scaling issues with ease.

The monitor was great. Unfortunately, you must be extremely careful moving it around on your desk when cleaning, as the monitor can crack if you pick it up wrong or have too much pressure near the screen. I know first hand, as it happened to me, and the worst part is I paid for a 5-year replacement warranty, which was offered at the time. BestBuy informed me that it was a replacement warranty, not a repair warranty; therefore, I am out over $500. Geek Squad told me they could repair it over the phone and that I would have to pay for it, which I would have done. When I brought it to the local BestBuy near me, I was told they didn’t repair it and offered to refund the replacement warranty, which was prorated down to $38. Never again!

I’ve been using this on my Mac Mini for about a year now, the screen quality is great, I don’t know much about color accuracy – but I am a web/mobile developer and I find this monitor does a fine job in my day to day duties. I find the 4K resolution to make the text a little small for me, so I actually set it to run at 2K resolution (2560×1440) and it does a perfect job at running this non-native resolution. Also tried with lower resolutions with the same experience.

After using this for 3 YEARS, I’d say it’s an average monitor with 4k at a good price. The 4k comes with some sacrifices, probably to keep the price point low. If 4k isn’t important to you, definitely look at other monitors in the same price range for a MUCH better display.

If you use this for casual gaming and office work, then it’s good enough. But you will find yourself wanting something better over time.
The viewing angles are terrible. I can’t remember the last time I saw a monitor was viewing angles – I thought that was a problem of the past.
The black levels / contrast ratio is also terrible. IPS are known to sacrifice on this, but with this monitor you don’t even get the benefit of wide viewing angles that are the hallmark of IPS displays!
If you are in a room with lots of sunlight this monitor will not be bright enough even at the max brightness setting. My room doesn’t even have direct sunlight shining in, and if it did I think this monitor would become unusable unless I closed the blinds.
LG’s software is terrible on Mac. It’s buggy, constantly freezes, and eats up CPU.
Setup is VERY difficult. The manual doesn’t explain most of the settings, and a LOT of tweaking is needed to get this monitor to look good. I feel so bad for people who use it with the out-of-the-box settings not knowing how much better it could be.

I purchased this monitor in March 2022 and was pretty happy with it, until today, when in the middle of a workday I came back from the bathroom to find a display full of vertical lines. Nothing will display, not even the monitor welcome screen. It displays vertical lines (and only vertical lines) no matter what I plug it into, even if it’s plugged into nothing. Not happy that I spent $500 for only a year and a half worth of functionality
