I love this soundbar! I paired it with my LG C1 OLED 65-inch and it looks and sound great! The center speakers, overhead speakers, and subwoofer levels can be set with the LG Soundbar app that you download to your mobile device. I just wish you could adjust the levels with the included remote. However, it’s not a huge deal. This thing gets pretty loud for such a tiny package. I love the low-vibration subwoofer because you can hear the rumble without it causing a lot of sounds to come from the tv stand like crackling and whatnot. I put it inside of my tv stand but most people will probably put it to the side or behind it. Dolby Atmos content sounds awesome. I watched 3 movies on Netflix and was impressed with the sound quality. I think it’s the coolest soundbar system out right now. Highly satisfied!
kirbo20 –
Very narrow sound stage. Sound is very similar to a smartphone and a bowl for amplification. Go with the LG SP8YA for fuller and richer sound with a much wider sound stage.

I have to preface that this was meant to replace a bedroom sound bar that is going out. My wife hates that I play audio loud when we sleep and the biggest hurdle is voice dialogue coming through clearly with the rest of the sound not overpowering. This speaker was to replace my Polk 2.1 voice assist mini sound bar that has since broke. This was similar in size, and seemed to have all the audio tech I was looking for. I bought this prior to any reviews as it was so new, and not being able to hear it in store for the same reason. I found it on sale, and pulled the trigger hoping it would work. I hooked everything up, which was a breeze, and tested the sound. The sound bar was not good for dialogue. It sounded great for action movies and did replicate 70-80% of what larger 5.1 systems could do, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. I ultimately returned it.
Pros-
1. Set up was easy as long as you only have one device you’re hooking it up to (see cons)
2. Good sound for such a small system
3. Minimalistic look
4. Subwoofer was very powerful
5. Replicates larger 5.1 systems adequately.
Cons
1. Only one HDMI in! Where I was using this that was ok because I was only plugging in a fire stick. Nothing else. However, if you Have a cable box AND a streaming device, well only one can hook up and deliver the highest available audio quality through the speaker. I imagine most people will have at a minimum of 2-5 devices plugging in. (Game system, streaming device, cable box, Bali ray disc players, etc.) There is an optical input, but the whole point of the high end Dolby Atmos is through HDMI.
2. No custom audio settings. You can adjust the bass only. There are some preset audio configurations, like stadium, music, movies etc. but what about personalizing the audio? No manual settings for audio.
3. Dialogue sounds awful. I have had other sound systems that are less than this price that deliver better dialogue and I think this goes hand in hand with limited audio settings
4. No UI. All settings are done from the remote. The sound bar doesn’t have a digital screen to tell you what input you’re on or what setting you’re adjusting. It has little dots on the front and that is all. I get the minimalist approach to this, but for this price, I expect either a good supported app, or some basic UI.
The overall theme here is “at this price point,” save your money and buy something else.

Great audio. Small speaker doesn’t take up much room and easily fits on my mantle. Looks and sounds great paired with my Oled on the fireplace!!

Amazing sound quality from such a small device. It fits in very well in our room. It works better than most other sound bars i have seen
Jackknife –
Had some troble getting it to setup at first. The app doesn’t work, but with the help of the geek squade we did get it to work. Would buy it again. Sounds great
cccris –
Overall it has a good sound for the size of it. Only downside is you have to edit the sound with the LG app.

So I purchased a lg c1 65 inch. Fantastic smart tv. Purchased a Polk small sound bar. (You can’t use a full sound bar due to low level stand, which don’t like. The Polk bar was really weak So I pulled trigger on the lg. set up was ok, with app. The sound is really impressive for the size of the bar. It pumps out the sound and sub is very subdued but you know it’s there. All in all best small sound bar out there in my opinion.
Greg –
This thing is terrible – not sure I can even call it a speaker. The subwoofer is terrible – very little bass output and had to check multiple times if it was even on. The main speaker sounds like a tin can. Hooked up the app to try and tweak speaker but really no change. My Samsung TV sounds better than this. I also have a Polk Magnifi Mini which completely blows this out of the water and I think the Mini is average at best. Please do not buy this LG. I am going back to a receiver and speaker set-up and am done with these sound bars which are simply gimmicks.
photomike –
Easy to set up, sound is great and it looks good on the stand.
KAnnO –
Excellent sound for all types of programs. Easy to use
BlackStainless –
Sound bar packs a punch for its size, makes easy to no use up alot of space on a entertainment system and still have great quality sound. The bass is also really nice since it isnt just a simple box with a sub. It new tech designed by lg.
VinegarStrokes –
This doesn’t sound too bad. For the size of the subwoofer, it doesn’t have the bump I thought it would where it’s close to the size of my other soundbar subwoofer. The soundbar portion doesn’t sound too bad for the size. I got it mostly for the form factor. Pairs nicely with my LG OLED C1
Cain –
Solid unit in a small package, sounds better than most longer bars
Aintgonnahappn –
This sound system is okay. With atoms enabled using arc with an lg tv, you really have to crank the sound to hear the voices. The surround seems to overtake the actual vocals.
It’s also weird that the lg when hooked up through arc to an lg tv will also remove sound tuning. I know this is suppose to ensure you get what the director wants you to get, but I doubt they want us constantly wondering what is being said when music or other loud background noises are included. This sound bar is actually requiring me to turn on closed capturing.

I appreciate having a quality home theater set up and a key piece of any good set up is sound. I am not nearly as picky about sound quality as others and I’m sure that this will be an excellent buy for a lot of people but my impression of this is a bit mixed. What I love most about it is the size. I have a very small bedroom and had a hard time finding sound bars that would fit in it. It is a solid improvement over TV speakers and had no problem filling no room at low volumes. Dialogue sounds clear and it no part of movies or shows scores and sound effects felt like they were lacking. I previously used a low range Vizio sound bar and it produced a more muffled sounding stage that this is a lot more clear despite its size. The subwoofer is more subtle than others I’ve used from Samsung and Vizio but still noticeable. The Atmos performance wasn’t the best- I tested with 4K streaming on Disney+ and 4K blurays I own and I felt that while better on paper I usually preferred how it sounded without Atmos. I have a system in my living room with Atmos that has a larger sound bar and subwoofer as well as satellite speakers and when Atmos is well done it’s great. This sadly just can’t Atmos well. I purchased this for $100 off and for that price it is still not a cheap option but if you are very limited on space it does it’s job well. If you have space I encourage you to spend more on getting full Atmos system. After 2 months of use I still enjoy it and if you are the right person for this product you will be happy with it.

This is a great sound bar for a small little room that I have it in it sounds great and the bass carries very well , very loud if you want it loud, but great sound quality, I’m very happy with this purchase
Dave –
The quality and amount of sound this tiny 3.1.2 Soundbar system puts out is amazing. It sounds full sized, but is 1/4th the size of a traditional Soundbar.
Brian67 –
Had issues with the video connectivity and getting the LG tv to recognize the video input from the box. Form factor is great. Works in medium sized rooms. Not powerful enough for large living rooms and too much for small rooms.
Sean –
The little surround sound system puts out pretty decent sound quality for the room it’s currently in.
It’s sound reverberations off of the walls all doable as long as you don’t have wired angular cuts to your ceilings and walls other then that a pretty good buy.
Murray –
Perfect size for our tv room, great quality sound !
co61 –
for such a small soundbar this sounds great gets loud and puts out nice bass when it needs to phone app is good to set things also has voice boost Dolby Atmos sounds good the sound fills the room very well we have this connected to our Sony A80J with no issues we have this in our upstairs den medium size room some have said the subwoofer doesn`t put out to well but we found this not to be the case and had to turn down the volume movies sound great. this may not be big enough for a very large room with high ceilings but for us it works perfect very compact with great sound easy setup they did a good job with this bar…
65OLED –
Amazing sound from such a small system! I was skeptical at first, but this is the perfect system for my bedroom.
4stars –
Sounds a bit disoriented at times but perfect for a small gaming setup

Great picture quality. Great value. Very easy to use.

This unit is great for apartments. Good sound!!!!!
VeeJax –
It’s a lot of sound and I like it. I wish it was more bass but it wasn’t a bad purchase.
ML92596 –
I bought this new sound bar to go with my new LG TV. I stuck with LG because I thought it would be super simple to sync up. NOT! It took days to figure it out and that was only with the help of going on YouTube and watching videos. It’s the worst and the first time I have bought a sound bar without an integrated subwoofer. Still not sure the subwoofer is even working. Waste of money…
Jlpp33 –
Very good sound for the size. It does have a 3 speaker set up at the front ( 1 front , 1 right , 1 left) and 2 up fire + Bluetooth subwoofer with 2 speakers.
HDMI ARC and HDMI in. Also Bluetooth connection.
Recommended for medium to small size rooms

I’m really enjoying the sound enhancement to my new 65″ Samsung TV. The sales representative was right, the sounds is really great and the sound watching movies in particular is super! The sale price made it even better.
Hardpass –
The soundbar sounded much better in store. I ended up returning the soundbar.
Sammy –
The sound that comes out of this is phenomenal,
The Dolby atmos is so immersive I enjoy watching tv shows and movies
corpomonkey –
Nice compact sound Bar with decent bass. Not sure how well it does Dolby Atmos. Sound quality is decent, Highs and Mids are projected well, lows from the sub woofer aren’t the best, but will do for a sound bar system. I got it at very low price so it was worth it for me.
Moparbdjoe –
So initally, i wasn’t expecting much from this sound bar. I thought it was be the typical, soundbar lacks sound/clarity and the subwoofer would be too punchy/bassy, based on the sizes in the images. Got the soundbar, set it up and it was the complete opposite, the small soundbar itself was rather impressive with the sound and clarity it was able to project. The subwoofer was lacking…. Big time… Almost nonexistant. If you’re looking for a decent soundbar for your bedroom or somewhere with very thin walls. This will work. If you’re looking for something with punch and makes you feel in the middle of that action scene, this system will fall short. If LG paired this thing with a nice 10 or even 8 inch subwoofer, it would be 100% worth the price
onarush –
Neat little sound system that doesn’t take up alot of space
Great sound quality that will fit anywhere
GeorgeE –
The sound quality is fantastic at all three ranges. And the subwoofer is going to move the couch ! Great choice right up there with all the other big names.
Jeremy –
The sound bar is very lound and sounds amazing. Great Dolby Atmos with good bass. Unfortunately the wireless sub doesn’t give the power i was expecting but for an apartment it’s perfect for not disturbing neighbors.
Bestbuyer –
The size and quality of the product it looks brand ndew even though its an open box
jdin08 –
The sound quality is not as good as I expected for the price.
RobertS –
Sounds okay…very muffled. I adjusted speakers individually and used different presets. Bass is good for a small room. I paid under $300….definitely would NOT pay full price!!!!!
SSDPs5 –
Compact size, low profile look, noticeable quality
SuperAndroid15 –
Great soundbar works perfectly with my gaming pc but has to plugged in with optical
aerialvoyager08 –
Good little soundbar with dolby atmos. Only complain is that you hear very little or no sound from the subwoofer. You need the LG app to adjust sound from the subwoofer.
Q3s4 –
Not many EQ settings
Connection issues w Bluetooth and HDMI
Bass is very disappointing
Too expensive for disappointing sound
Rachelle –
Amazing sound quality, even gives you the options to optimize the sound on the remote. Very small and compact build but very loud! Great when watching movies and expecting and big oumph!
