This refrigerator after having it for 1 month is excellent both in easy access storage capacity & temperature of all the compartments; the glass quick access door is so convenient to use, and the convertible drawer is surprisingly the most conveniently option using it for 38 degree items now. the ice balls are so effective in all drinks – keeping cold & no watered down beverages!

I’ve had this item for three weeks now and I can finally give it a five star.. I was so excited about the craft ice and fairly new design upgrades, however here’s my experience.. the day we received it it took ALL day for the freezer section to get cold (fridge portion got cold quick within 2hrs) which was a cause for concern for my groceries that had already been sitting in coolers awaiting the new unit arrival. (Old fridge needed to be empty for them to take it and we were given a 4hr time frame for arrival) next the ice makers did not seem to be working, it took 3 days to fill the upper bin and the craft ice had only 3 balls (used ice plus option on day 2 and that’s all we got). (Filter in and water purged thru dispenser prior) I used an ice ball in my drink and it ruined it, after tasting the ice by itself it tasted like acetone (immediately discarded all), purged about 3 more gallons thru the dispenser to be sure before I contact the store or lg. After giving this expensive fridge another 2 days (due to its slow ice production) we had ice! Full door bin and about 12 balls in the bottom and they tasted like water! Yay! Finally we are happy with this fridge, hubby was ready to call the first day! Caution! be patient and you will not be disappointed, air filter not the easiest to remove but I’m only 5’3 and not very muscular lol.

We recently purchased the LG 29.5 cu. ft. model after our old one died. We have had “this” French door fridge with the second drawer for veggies and bottom freezer since 2013. I’ll give the good and bad and you can decide for yourselves.
The good and the bad. We have some repairs on the first 2, which was covered under 5 year Geek Squad Warranty, which was well worth it. One I believe was just switched out. The second one after major malfunction of some sort was a credit toward a new fridge. This is our 4th in 10 years. This is the first fridge I’m buying just using the total tech warranty. I might go back a purchase the 5 year warranty to cover ourselves instead of dealing with a very weak warranty through total tech. This one was just out of warranty, so it’s a full purchase, which I’m still not happy about. A fridge of this caliber and price should last more than 5- 6 years. None of them have.
Good
The overall function of the 3 drawer fridge with right through open glass is great for us. For size and versatility I did not find anything else that fits our needs. It’s great for someone that wants their veggies, wine, or other stuff at a different temp than rest of fridge.
Compared to other products, this fridge’s parts seem to be better made. Parts don’t feel cheap like they will break after day 1. Overall feel is the fridge is sturdy.
Good-
I like the extra ball ice maker in the bottom. It uses up some freezing space, but our family seems to use a lot of ice. It’s a nice novelty.

My only complaint, besides that this fridge (our past fridges did not last long, is the top ice and water dispenser. Hear me out… the old fridge design you would put your cup up and either water or ice cake out lining up with the cup-perfect-.no spills. Now, depending if you want ice or water you toggle between water/ice and you have to shift the glass/cup forward or back. Many times I’m thinking ice, but I’ve clicked water and then it spills down the front of the fridge and down to the floor. This nuance is probably more of an issue for someone who has had the old fridge where you only had to push and the ice or water came from the same direction with no mess. It’s a design flaw – not the end of the world. After 2 months I still spill, so…
Good/bad
Would I recommend someone wise buy it. Yes, but partly because the other fridges out there are junk. Do I like this one, yes- if I had to replace it, yes- I would buy it again.

Love this new refrigerator. It has more bells and whistles than we originally wanted, but have fallen in love with each of them. Lots of room for 2 liter bottles or a gallon size milk container inside the see thru door. You can also access the shelves on the inside of the see thru door as there is a door that opens on the other side as well. Lots of space with adjustable shelves and the convertible middle drawer will come in handy when we need more freezer space. Controls are in the front so we can adjust temperatures if needed as well. LG Got this right!

Love it, however would like to give it a 4.5 because I have one issue. The spacing of the shelves are not user friendly. If you adjust one shelf to accommodate taller items like water bottles, the shelf below is so short that only a few items will fit.

Garbage, quit making ice, bottom freezer frosted over! Warning, don’t waste your money. Less than 6 month old. Multiple repair appointments, replaced mother board. Still same issue continues.
