    My old monitor was more than 20 years old so time for a new one. I like all things LG and this one does not disappoint. I have a dark screen saver and I never realized there were stars in the sky at night on the saver. Font is crisp and crystal clear. Easy to set up and download the software. This is said to be good for gaming. I’m going to have my grandson try it out with his xBox.

    Overall, I’m satisfied since I needed a new monitor to replace an asus one. The only pet peeves I have right now are:
    1) you have to connect and external speaker to the monitor for hdmi audio
    2) there is no signal detection on the ports, you have to swtich manually

    Other than there the monitor picture is fantastic and refresh rates are great on games/videos.

    Fast, easy setup. Plug n Play. Connected right away to mid-2019 MacBook Pro 13 using a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Display Port cable (Silkland Model: Bulbul-CD01-US)
    I turn Apple Power adapter Off/On in the morning to wakeup the Mac after a Shutdown the night before. Using a Logitech BT keyboard and mouse to wake from Sleep mode.
    Works great! Very good brightness and color fidelity.

    pretty good monitor for the price! using it for my xbox series x and MacBook Pro. good 4k all I needed, the freesync doesn’t work through HDMI so that’s a bummer! and 60hz only works in hdmi port 2 and you have to turn on 60hz on the monitor itself. there also isn’t no sound but there is a headphone jack and you can add a speaker! not bad!

    This is a second monitor sitting next to a 27”, 5k iMac Pro. Although the resolution can’t match the iMac’s, I’m finding the LG’s perfect for its slightly smaller display. I’m a writer, photographer and graphic design guy and am loving this, not only for a place to place menus, palettes, etc. but as a perfectly good extension to open smaller canvases, due to it’s great color and high resolution. For me the resolution is perfect for the relatively smaller size. I didn’t worry so much about the stand because I’ve attached a substantial Mount It single monitor stand that is adjustable all over the place—including the capability of rotating to portrait configuration for use as a primary monitor for documents.

    For the price, I can’t see how there could be many better choices. Highly recommend.

    Finding a 4K monitor small enough to fit alongside other desktop monitors can be a challenge. This LG monitor is a budget-priced 4k with reasonably good color rendition (but not high precision). For me, being able to quickly check my 4k video edits without breaking the bank made this a good purchase.

    After reading reviews and looking at prices this was the best choice and it is great. I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with a cracked screen but everything else worked fine. I bought The monitor and turned my laptop into a desktop. Easy set up, speakers are fine, and I have a camera attached. No issues so far

    THIS is a monitor. It’s crisp and clear. Quick and easy set up. You only need a small phillips screwdriver to connec the monitor to the stand. Nice range of tilt also. Very pleased overall.

    I tried connecting an 24″ HP 1080 to my Mac before this and it was terrible. If you scrolled to fast, the color would drag and the screen was so pixelated.

    If you are looking for a high-quality computer monitor, please consider the LGUD58-B. After selling my aging iMac and purchasing a Mac mini M1, I spent several months buying 1080p monitor from several vendors before returning each as they could simply not compare with the iMac’s 4K display. I did not want a 27 inch monitor as my space was limited. After reading several positive reviews of the LGUD58-B, I finally decided to purchase it and give it a try. I had some concern that there may be display issues with the Mac mini given comments online on M1 compatibility, but I am thrilled that the LG monitor was perfect for my setup. The quality of the monitor is simply superb. The 4K display is virtually identical to the 4K Mac mini screen. Text is razor sharp and bright. If you are looking for a 4K monitor for your Mac mini or any other computer, give the LG UD58-B some strong consideration.

    I have a 4k gaming monitor with all the fancy things. But I wanted a 2nd 4k monitor for work. This monitor is filling that need well. Due to its smaller size, thr picture is even sharper and more colorful than youd expect. Text looks great. And brightness is pretty good (not amazing). The bezel and stand arent that sleek. 60hz refresh is fine, The monitor also seems responsive enough. I wouldnt recommend this monitor for gaming, but for a 2nd display or a main work display its a good choice.

    I’ve used this monitor for a few weeks now and it’s great. Bright enough with a window in back, excellent resolution, no noticeable flicker, not too big and not too small.

    If you have a MacBook, and looking for a right-sized monitor that won’t affect the performance, then this is the one. First, facts – a 23.8-inch monitor with 4K (3840X2160) will equate to 185 ppi, making the text sharper and crisper. This also matches one of MacOS’s retina resolutions, where the OS doesn’t need to work hard to scale.

    Display: This IPS display is excellent in brightness and sharp text (did I already say that?). If you are into gaming/photo/video content editing, there may be better options, but this is a fantastic find for all other semi-professionals.

    Third: Ports — This has HDMI and Display ports only, so you may need to get some adapters if your device has only USB-C. There is an audio jack, but it isn’t beneficial, you need a longer cable, and people use wireless headphones anyway.

    This has a VESA mount, and I mounted mine on an adjustable arm so it sits at the right height. The built-in stand is sturdy too.

    Lastly, the cable connects directly to the power outlet without any intermediate box sitting somewhere underneath the table. This is a nice little thing.

    Overall, this is a match made in heaven for MacBooks.

    I got this monitor a long time ago and wasn’t impressed with the picture quality. It has no HDR to enhance neither the games nor movies. I expected better but didn’t get a great setup with it. I’m glad I upgraded from this. The contrast and color seems grayed out or more brown when I used HDR on the hooked up devices. When I disabled it, it wasn’t washed out. Kind of disappointed with this purchase

    Although this screen was not to expensive because it was on clearance the color replication is pretty impressive for an LCD I’ve never seen a LCD display such deep blacks and so I guess 4K allows for that type of technology to take place, it’s refresh rate wasn’t bad and frankly I only experience jutter like once but my device was able to compensate by decreasing the buffer range to -1 in addition to that it has pretty good graphics with an onboard GPU it was great for the price I paid

    Perfect size for school and office work from home. Super sharp text and no blur or glare while using internet or zoom or office apps. Its just about the right size for its use. There’s a headphone jack in the back for audio output.

    I’d really like the Apple Studio monitor, but I needed something that would work on a PC as well as a MacBook, since I need to use a PC for work. This monitor is so much better than the old one that came from the office. I spend a lot of time reading text and it is so much easier now with the great resolution. Definitely worth the much lower price. It would be nice to be able to hook up speakers, but it was improved resolution that I really needed and I’m very satisfied with that.
