Nightmare. On Dec 08 It was delivered and completed 90% installation except for water supply due to adaptor needed. The same person came for redo but wrong size adaptor he brought on Dec 17. So it was scheduled on Dec 26. In that day the same guy called me before arrival if I bought the adaptor otherwise he couldn’t fix it (He never told me that). I immediately got the adaptor according to his requirement. On Jan 7 another person came but he found the water hose was taken out by the 1st man so that he was not able to do it. The new schedule to redo is Jan 22. Finally I received a good service from the 5th person who provided his own water hose to me when he heard about my experience in the past.

Does a great job washing and rinsing. Lot’s of wash and rinse cycles and is very quiet. The biggest drawback is it doesn’t dry dishe, no heating element like most . Too much trouble installing to return for a different one! Dishes are still wet and covered with water when done. Fan dry isn’t strong enough to dry dishes!

Purchased on sale, this dishwasher is extremely quiet. Others that say it’s loud perhaps it’s their water draining or something as the unit itself is extremely quiet. Installed myself, not a single problem at all. I will say even with extended dry cycle/night dry, I still had some water on my Tupperware. Put some jet dry in on lvl 2 and now everything is bone dry. Excellent purchase so far.

48 decibels? From where did you measure the sound level? The factory down the street? I own a Honda Generator rated at 63db at 10′ and at 25′ you cant even hear it running. I’m sitting 25 feet away from this dishwasher in a different room and I am measuring 53 on my sound meter. This is ridiculous for a 700.00 dishwasher. Not even close! Worst purchase ever.

First, let me say that this dishwasher works great. Cleans well, dries well, all that. However, the layout is quite honestly the worst of any dishwasher I’ve ever used. The top rack has angled pegs, seemingly better for small plates rather than cups, so if you have many small things like bottles and sippy cups it will be a nightmare. The bottom rack has an angled piece at the front that makes putting certain objects there awkward. Worst of all, there is a huge gap in the middle of the bottom rack that prevents putting much of anything, other than huge objects, in there. It’s almost like they missed a row of pegs. I can understand that they may have done this to allow better water distribution, but other dishwashers seem to have done just fine without this. Layout is awful, awful, awful. Will be sure to verify this when the time comes to buy another.
Also, once the dishwasher is on the Power Button is not delayed or locked with control lock. I can understand this, but it should at least require continued pressing or something to prevent accidental power offs. My one year old has stopped many loads already because the button is very sensitive. I even accidentally powered it off by backing into it.

Fist time ever having a dishwasher. Paid $738 after taxes. Glad to have one but already see some short comings.
Pros:
Design, black stainless steel looks good in our kitchen.
So far, does a good job cleaning dishes.
Cons:
– Pretty noisy. I was surprised at how loud it actually is and wonder how much louder others are if people are saying it’s quiet.
– Leaked after install and use. Luckily was able to tighten hose and seemed to do the trick.
– Seems loud.
– expensive. For this price I’d expect near perfect clean and dry dishes. The cleaning has been solid but drying is terrible. Brings me to my next point…
– doesn’t dry. Dishes come out wet no matter what cycle we pick. Have to hand dry almost everything after cleaning.
– cycles take forever. Couple hours every time.
This is my take after about a week of use. I’ll update as we progress.

Should have returned it from the start. The specs originally said app controlled but when I got it installed turns out the app had been discontinued and was no longer available. From the start the cleaning wasn’t as good as my previous washer. Bowls and cups were fairly frequently not entirely clean and needed to be rewashed. Now, about 19 months later then main board on it died.
I would stay away from this. My other LG appliances have been good (washer, dryer, range) so not totally adverse to the brand but this dishwasher is not good.

This dishwasher is just under 2 years old and is already broken. It is leaking in 3 places. To fix it would cost 4 or 500 dollars per the appliance repair man.

The dishwasher is relatively quiet and does a decent job of washing dishes. It’s able to hold a good amount of dishes, but it does struggle with heavier residue versus my old trusty Maytag. There are no built in drying elements. It only uses air to dry, so having rinse agent is required at all times. It will also take longer that you expect to dry the dishes. On the plus side, the dark stainless steel looks very good.
My main qualm with it is the control panel buttons. They are finicky. I should’ve expected that with these touch-style buttons. The buttons finally died on me this month. I had to order replacement control panel part for it recently ($200). Easy to replace, but not a cheap fix. Overall, I’m not very happy considering I’ve only had it for a year. This is where I should’ve opted for the warranty.

Trash, Started making horrible noise about 18 months after purchasing. Bad Circulation motor it sounds like. Very expensive to fix. Not worth it. Never really dried the dishes fully even when leaving on extended dry cycle. I will not be buying an LG dishwasher again

Junk!!! Bought complete kitchen set (range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher) two years ago and now the vario motor on the dishwasher and main board on the microwave need to be replaced. You would think that $4000 for a kitchen set would last longer than two years! And none of the is covered by warranty. Now I am selling this LG JUNK and going back to whirlpool
