First time with a convection microwave and we really like it. We installed it in our motorhome. It preheats quickly for backing. The morning biscuits turned out great. So did the French fries. Glad it guides you through the process because twice I forgot to hit start after hitting select.

I like this a lot. You REALLY can bake in it. My only surprise was how deep it is…it sticks out further than my cabinets. I should have checked dimensions better. I like the finish-looks great and smudge free.

So far we a very impressed with this microwave/convection combo.
Seems to have much more cooking power than our previous Dometic (LG) unit (but it was 10 years old).
Seems to be built much more solid than most on current market; just slam the door as opposed to all the others. You’ll see what I mean!
Unit has lots of presets or you can use manual input; your choice.
Only con (to me, and I may be nit-picking) is the fan switch requires multiple pushes to go from “high” speed to lower speeds, and finally to “off”.
We love the black stainless exterior; gives us a very classy look! Interior cleans up easily also.

I purchased this because our old microwave started failing. The plastic door handle broke and the plastic on the front panel was cracking and going to break even more. It only was 2 years old.
The door handle and faceplate on this model seems to be of better quality. The buttons are sensitive to just a light touch. It works great and I believe will last longer than our last unit. I only have 2 CON but they are not major. The instant start is for 1 minute our last unit was 30 seconds and there is no pause button. You have to open the door or push cancel. These are easy to get use to during operation of the unit. I would recommend this unit.

Looks good, built well and does the job nicely. The convection is okay but that’s not really what we wanted the microwave for. It’s easy to use – manual just punch in the time and hit start. The sensor cooking works really well – we use reheat casserole and plate a lot and it does a great job of heating just the right amount. Overall we’re pleased with this purchase and you can’t go wrong for the price.

This over the range microwave with convection is larger than most and works very well. The combination of being able to choose between convection and microwave is very useful. So far we are enjoying its size, power, and flexibility. Installation by Best Buy was great.

Would be nice if they would have not discontinued the 800cfm feature as well as defrost percent feature Overall pleased with product but the downsizing has caused a 1 inch gap on my back splash They should provide some type of metal strip as an extension to cover exposed wall.

What a great kitchen feature! The display and soft touch key pad controls on the outside make feature selections so quick and easy. Using the convection was a snap making my baked item perfect in such a short time. I appreciate the chime noise to let me know when my items are done.

We purchased this microwave as soon as it came out. We were excited about the convection oven aspect along with the sensors. It was between this and the GE. I had heard so many good things about the GE but we decided to go with this because of the reviews and the looks (it is a BEAUTY)………but sadly enough it does not live up to its name or style.
1. We never use the convection oven even though we bought it for that very reason. Why?? It takes close to 15 minutes to warm up for convection then you can use that function. That is ridiculous!
I can cook almost immediately in my toaster oven which actually cooks. So aggravating!!! Spend $1000 and don’t even use the main function.
2. The sensor function doesn’t work. No matter how many times I have tried softening butter it does not work. You have to use the soften function almost 3 times to get it to soften and you have to make sure that you don’t melt it.
Pretty much all sensor options are worthless.
Conclusion:
Pros –
This is a beautiful microwave. It does basic microwave functions without issues.
Cons-
Convection feature is worthless.
Sensor feature is worthless.
This microwave is worth $300-$400 because of the looks and name other than that it is an overpriced appliance

Technician has been in 3 times for the same issue — the door does not ‘register’ as closed so the machine will not start. All technicians say this is an issue with the machine.

This was my second KithcheAide purchase as I have been replacing my other appliances after only 5 years! I purchased KA refrigerator Dec. of 2019 and loved the durability, quality and richness of the black stainless.
Once my 5 year old microwave stopped working, I knew my next purchase would be a KitchenAide microwave.
As expected it was no surprise when both my microwave and dishwasher stopped functioning an/or continuously had to be serviced again only 5 years old.
I did my research as to quality, durability and ease of use and serviceability. I then went to Best Buy and received exceptional customer service.
I love the large capacity, sleek look and the user friendly cooking selection settings. It walks you through every step to ensure proper cooking times. Beyond useful when cooking with the convection!
Cooks great and evenly and not to mention I can bake without having to use my range oven. Keeps the house a lot cooler!

It is a nice looking microwave. The handle gets very hot if you are using the stovetop underneath (but it also cools down fast, so I guess it’s ok). The fan is not great, but it is better than nothing.

Love this! Looks amazing (spiffs up our kitchen which is a bit outdated) and works great! My biggest hope was that the convection oven could cook our “Jacks” pizzas (Sunday night family tradition). In this order home, Oven is old and not a convection oven and we were not enjoying the results. Amazingly converts to a convection oven and works great! Also made Christmas cookies in it this season & it was wonderful! Highly recommend!

Would NEVER buy another Kitchen Aid product. This unit required at least 4 service calls and a final replacement under warranty. The convection over took for ever to heat up. The microwave would ofter times not work. The light wouldn’t come on.

This is a great appliance! Every appliance I’ve purchased the past few years has been junk. I’ve only had this for a month or so, but it seems like a really well made appliance. The door is solid… my old one was light and junky. I love that I can bake cookies and microwave a cup of water for tea.

Great convection microwave when it works. We had to replace ours after two years of use. For the price it should have been replaced but went out of warranty. Samsung support was a joke. I do recommend this unit but get a 5 yr extended warranty or you will be buying another one at full price.

Larger than I thought. This microwave has more functions than you need. I replaced a small countertop microwave and oven hood with this unit. The fan is efficient and much quieter than my last one. The lighting is very even and covers the stove well. I would definately buy again.

I got this microwave March 2020, a couple of months ago there was a fire that was in the inside of the microwave at the top right in the front, I had it looked at and now it has to be replace. I was thinking that kitchenAid was a good brand but my new kitchenaid refrigerator went out a couple of months after buying it and it had to be replace.

I bought this a year ago for a whirpool that died. It is ok but I really don’t like it. The whirlpool did bacon better. The convection feature has not proven useful for me. And the price even on sale was mega meh.
Big knock to Best Buy install. They took my owner’s manual so I might not be using this to its full extent.

This convection, microwave oven, combines a easy interface and a large compartment for almost complete cooking. The oven warms up quickly, and browns evenly, if you use the rotating feature. It was easy to install, and was delivered almost right after we ordered it.
