Tony12 –
Very nice appliance and runs fairly quietly. There are features that are found on other less expensive brands that would be a nice add to this model (i.e., one touch timer settings).

We replaced all our 15-year old KitchenAid appliances with new models. While this microwave is expensive, I am impressed with the quality of it so far. Hope this microwave as well as the other KitchenAid appliances we bought for our kitchen lasts for 15 years.
Microcook –
Kitchenaid products have been our go to line for their quality. The size of this mirowave (1.6) fits all our needs. The newer model is more quiet then are last model. The Kitchenaid line is a better quality than the Whirlpool line. The extra cost is worth it.
KitchenAidMicrowave –
I was very surprised with how clean and modern this looks. I love the 30 second feature. We are really happy with this microwave.
Erica –
Spent more on this microwave to match my other appliances, it only lasted about 14 months, it would run but not heat the food. Contacted kitchenaid and told me they couldn’t do anything for me because I was 2 months past warranty. For this kind of money I would expect it to last a lot longer.
HPINK –
GOOD MICROWAVE BUT WISH DOOR CLOSES A LITTLE QUIETER.
Lovinger –
Microwave stopped working after just 2 years. I expect a KitchenAid product to last more than 2 years, especially for the price. Very disappointed.
Hank –
Fits perfectly on a shelf to preserve counter space. Quiet and works better than our last unit.

We bought this as a replacement for the same make/model microwave the builder put in our house. It was a bee house the the original microwave failed after about two years. So we bought the same microwave, which is incredibly expensive as a replacement. The replacement lasted a whole three months and it broke. I’d stay away from this make and model! Certainly not Best Buy’s fault by any means. One would think you could trust Kitchen Aid but maybe just not their microwaves.

I have kitchenaid appliances all over my kitchen. This is not only a beautiful looking microwave but is very efficient. It heats up right away!

I bought it to replace our old KitchenAid 1.6 Cu. Ft. Microwave. After four busy years of thawing, reheating, and cooking it died, I tried to replace it with other brands but they did not fit the cabinet where it was installed. I searched and found the new version KitchenAid on Best Buy.com. It fit the cabinet and the trim kit from the old model perfectly.
I’m glad the other brands did not fit because I really like the KitchenAid’s best feature. It has a “Pizza Reheat” button that reheats pizza as if it was baked in an oven. It also runs whisper quiet with all the cooking power you need.
Carrie –
This was decent, but not what we wanted from the beginning. It’s ok and works well. We just weren’t happy with it.
Ramon –
We needed a new over the top microwave oven to replace our old one that broke.
Rich1 –
Overall it works as expected. It doesn’t seem to splatter food like my prior one, so no cleanup req’d yet. It has steam detection so various reheat cycles are provided. Read up on the cycles to use it most effectively.
Phil –
Tons of room! We love it. It came a day earlier than expected as well. Easy to use.
Susan –
An expensive disaster. Not installed properly and door has a lot of play in it so I get a door alarm constantly. Currently waiting for geek squad to arrive to try and fix it.
Maximilian –
Cool little microwave oven.
Can be built-in or sitting on the counter
Badpurchase –
Purchased 1 year ago and the plastic on the buttons is bubbling also the open latch is now broken
Microwave –
Feels cheap, I hope it lasts! I thought Kitchen Aid microwave would be better. The show room did not have a model to look at before we bought it.
Shelby –
Great microwave!!!! Easy to use. Matches other appliances.
outlaw4444 –
This microwave is a good buy. It is more powerful than our old one. It is quite nd easy to use.
Kimlav –
Love it so much had one before and got same one again
RRJJ –
So it works well and it fit our old kitchen aid frame. New model looks basically the same.
Kitchen –
overpriced and very loud door closing mechanism. I have a kitchenaid dishwasher that is great. Not nearly the same quality with the microwave. Disappointing.
SMDude –
You expect a lot more from a “Topline” product and that is what you pay for. This Kitchen Aid Microwave never really performed like a top end product. Then two years of owning the plastic door button product. Kitchen Aid 3rd party parts staff said this is no replacement part. Kitchen Aid customer service said they can not service it and will give no credit. Last time I buy a Kitchen Aid product.
StainlessSteelMicrowave –
This is a very good microwave. It is slightly smaller than most but still very powerful. We miss the quick on; it does not have the function to select a number and get that many minutes. Also the door is noisy when it shuts. Overall, the quality seems good and it matches the other Kitchenaid appliances.
Connie –
Does everything I need it to do. Simple and easy and looks good
microwave –
This unit replaced the in-cabinet model, and although a new model, it fit perfectly. No real difference between old and new models. It works fine.
CLTBUYER –
Extremely poor quality product. Had multiple failure in our neighborhood. I had replaced this item about 16 months ago and it failed again. Will not recommend this product from KitchenAid. Very dissapointed.
ConnieR –
This microwave was to replace my old one which was the same model but the quality of this new one is inferior
user990197 –
The product is perfect. Too bad that kitchen aid doesn’t have replacement parts and they force you to buy a new one.
RonH –
Replacement unit for older, 20 years old, microwave. Fit exactly in opening and the old trim kit worked as listed. Saved us $125 for a new trim kit.
Frostpar74 –
Easy to use and looks great with other SS appliances.
DonN –
We installed one of these 9 years ago, we have had two fail.
So I just installed the third Kitchenaide microwave and hoping it lasts longer than the first two.
Newbie –
Have to push very hard on the button to open the microwave door. Got Kitchenaid because wanted to match the rest of the appliances.
Wigati –
Arrived in a box with a lot of extra “security tape” on it for no apparent purpose except suspiciously to seal a box that had been previously opened. As this unit was ordered to replace a similar MW that has very uneven heating, I decided to try it before I installed it in its trim-kit opening. First, I noticed fingerprints all over and no protective film over the buttons. I was obviously not the first buyer to handle this unit. Once plugged it in, I immediately noticed that one of the LED numbers was incomplete. Then I tried to heat some water. The keyboard was dead – no response to touching any button. This unit is going back. To try to keep it from being recycled to another buyer, I wrote “BAD” in black marker on the enclosure. Unfortunately I am limited to this KitchenAid microwave because it has to fit in a location that was constructed for a similiar KA unit that failed after just four years. Not a happy KitchenAid microwave customer!
CarlM –
Cheaply made
Disappointing for Kitchen Aid
Fingerprints are also a major problem
JonW –
Works just as advertised. Replaced the one we had.
DjavadA –
We have been using this for long time and it is one of the best microwave
JayM –
Easily replaced a 10 year old KitchenAid countertop microwave with this model. Was able to reuse the existing trim kit, making replacement very easy.
RobM –
We replaced our over the range microwave. So far so good, we really like the look and has some good features.
SMKA –
Bought to replace original unit that quit working. Also bought KitchenAid trim kit for original unit. Together, they looked great and worked well. Pacific Sales did not offer a trim kit for this unit, but referred me to Micro Trim, which I purchased. The trim kit looks terrible as it will not allow microwave door to pivot opening properly unless M/W is not flush with trim. Very unhappy.
Igotalemon –
It lasted four years. It’s falling apart. The display flickers, some of the segments don’t work. The push button to open the door broke in half. Now the buttons are intermittent. Shopping for a new one. NOT getting Kitchen Aid.
StephenM –
My wife is having trouble cooking her oatmeal. Otherwise it is ok.
Jake –
Much sturdier than my prior 2. More powerful and less odor.
user186745 –
Second time we’ve had this model of microwave. The first one lasted 8 years.
ShannonB –
Lights and touchpad started acting up within a week. Same problem as previous one. Very over priced. Was able to get a different model with updated features for much cheaper.
Johnson –
The microwave was delivered as scheduled And it was a perfect fit for the replacement of the original microwave no adjustments needed.
JeffS –
Found the exact replacement item I needed and got it delivered to my house within 5 business days! Perfect!
RaiRey –
Microwave was installed a few weeks ago. It looks good and functions well. It has a very soft hum when heating so that is good. It is also easy to clean. I cannot speak about reliabiliry because it us still quite new.
