I am using these as surrounds in a 9.1 system. They blend very nicely with my q350s and q650 up front as well as my q50 atmos modules. I had pioneer rear atmos speakers before and the difference is notable, in tweeter timber matching and rear impact as well. I think these need a sub if you plan to use them in a system with heavy volume. I have cranked mine to 0 db and havent heard any distortion. I think that is thanks to my pb 3000 sub crossed at 80 hz. Without it, they wouldn’t be able to reach that volume. Very detailed and transparent sound here. Dont expect crazy bass boosting. These play what is supposed to be heard and nothing else. Easy to drive and sleek looking in white.

Got these for half off ($300). They don’t sound anything like a $3000 speaker so get that out of your mind right now. The bass is present and the treble is very good. I got them cause it was a great deal and will use them for my Sirius in house setup. For that they are fine. They do sound fine the louder you play them. The bass comes on very goo and it just sounds much more than a tiny bookshelf speaker should. Get em half off and enjoy them in a lot of situations.

I have gone back and forth with with sound bars and finally got a sound system. I am happy so far with the investment on Kef speakers. I also got a really good deal on everything. These speakers I got half off.

Very pleased with sound from KEF speakers and work done by the Geek Squad: (Eric Shokes and Ana Padron) setting up system. Better sound than a sounder.

Speakers are insanely clear. Great buy for $300 on sale. Highly recommend.

I picked these up on the recommendation of a colleague to replace what I had considered a pretty good desktop computer speaker set and WOW – the difference isn’t even close! When positioned correctly you’re able to experience so much more of the music.
I’m powering them with an AIYIMA A07 desktop amp, which comes recommended from the Audio Science Review forum. To connect to my computer I’m using Apple’s $9 USB-C to 3.5mm DAC/adapter. I have the amp’s volume set to ~60% and otherwise control the volume from my Mac like usual.
I had to play with positioning a little bit. Placed directly alongside my monitor facing straight forward I was sitting right on the edge of the sweet spot – I could easily get too close and lose the detail. A little bit of toe-in helps horizontally, but to make sure I always have the best seat in the house I got some desktop stands that lift them up 9″, putting them just below ear level whether I’m sitting or standing.
With all that dialed in, listening to these is worth every penny. Wait for them to go on sale for $300 (as they often do) though, and for under $500 you’ll have an outstanding desktop audio experience.

I liked these speakers so much I bought a 2nd pair for my man cave and replaced a more expensive set up. Audio is completely subjective to the individual, but in my industry experience which spans 20 plus years in technology sales I have never listened to any speaker any where close to this price point that sound this good.I have a Yamaha pre amp being used in pure direct mode with only digital sources and a very powerful separate amp. I have the speakers running into a definitive sub and all bass below 75hz being handled by sub. Sounds fantastic at all listening levels but amazing at that comfortable listening level. So smooth and balanced. If I could make love to these speakers I would. Keff has knocked this way out of the park. To get the full capabilities of these speakers I highly suggest a good sub that has speaker level inputs and outputs and a good integrated amp with at least a true 100 watt into 8 ohm power output. Half of modern audio is proper equipment matching and some knowledge of music reproduction and proper sub integration but with these properly hooked up with the right source equipment these speakers can take you to true high end performance and in my sincere opinion crush many more expensive options.

Nice bookshelf speakers. Sound way cleaner than my 8” Bose bookshelf although this speaker is a bit softer on the bass. I replaced my Bose with this using the same amplifier and you could definitely hear the difference. Beautiful speakers but beware, kids love to play with tweeters so make sure you buy speaker covers that are not included.

Perfect for complementing a good tv. Better than even a good sound bar. Driving it with a NAD316. Tunable bass port helps balance the sound to your setup. Excellent buy especially for the price.

Impressive sound, impressive value, impressive clarity and sound stage absolutely impressed enough said.

There were three installer’s that came to do the sound system, they did a great job connecting all the wires and speakers up to some of the older things I already had installed, making everything work together.

This is the first time in my life that I bought a pair of audiophile speakers. All my old speakers were come with 90′ mini HiFi system. I also have Bose Acoustimass 3 (2.1). The Bose was okay in a small or medium room but it was “lack of power” in my living room. Anyway, back to this pair of KEF. It sounds the best with streaming music and CD sources. I don’t know the words to describe the difference but they will definitely give you a better class of listening experience.
The white finish look great in a distance. However, it looks more like a “wallpaper” warp on MDF than real wood paint. It has linen pattern on the surface.
One more thing, I don’t know how to remove the plastic cap on the banana plug connector. I just connected them with the old fashion binding posts.
Is it worth $300? I believe so. However, one of my friends would rather spend $300 on PS5 steeling wheel set than on speakers when I recommended Q150 to him.

Thse are the best for the price. Great detail and imaging sound.

Great sound. I was lucky enough to get these on sale and they are a great value when not on sale. They look great, and sound better.

I love these speakers. I use them for PC audio. The audio source comes from a creative AE-9 which feeds into a EMOTIVA PT1 which in turn gives signal to a EMOTIVA A2 amplifier that drives the speakers. The sound stage is large and these speakers image exceptionally well compared the EMOTIVA B1+ which were my previous favorite for the desktop setup. In my opinion, the white looks very clean and contrasts very well against the speaker and lettering. I’m very pleased with these speakers at $300.00, and I believe you will be too if you purchase them.

This speaker has exceeded my expectations. Great sound quality from a small speaker. Highly recommend!

I got this for the sale price of $300. Paired it with a Cambridge AXR100 which is a 2-channel amp with 100w per channel and a sub out. Connected it to a powered sub and Oh boy it’s like a dream!

I hoped this would be better than my 25yr old B&W 600i, but no go.

I told the associate that if I didn’t hear a notable difference between this and my old speakers that I would return them without hesitation. The difference was NOTABLE. I love them. My records sound smoothe as butter. It was eye opening how awful my previous sound was. They were in my price range because of open box. Also, these are aesthetically pleasing in my home.

Great speaker for 2.0 channel setup. Quality speaker and worth the money at $299 for the pair. Liked the pair so much I bought a second pair for another setup.

Beat quality and sound you can get in this price range. The color white looks really good too. Recommend!

The best speakers you can buy for this price. They sound amazing. I have a higher-end integrated amp from Denton and my CD player over optical to these speakers sound rich, full of sound, and have such wide characteristics that even in my room at close range you can hear the full breadth of the song. They are a little deeper and larger than I would like but the build-quality is great. They come with optimal dampening material already installed and if you have them set close to the wall behind them, there is a cylinder foam insert you can use to alter the bass response, however I find that not necessary in my house. The low end is amazing. You don’t need a sub.

Premium sound, easy to jnstall – comes in 3 colors. ** the magnet covers come seperate and are sold ONE at a time aka not in a pair like a normal person would think.

I picked these up based off recommendations online as a good pair of near field monitors. I had been using a pair of single driver, full range speakers and a 4.5wpc SET amp that sounded amazing, but was lean on the lows. This setup worked well for me for many years, but more recently as I updated my work setup I no longer had room for the rather large amp. I originally set out to buy a newer small class D amp and figured I’d upgrade my speakers while I was at it. The Kef Q150 are a fantastic value when on sale for $300, but there are better speakers I’d look for at their full price. Build quality is not as nice as my previous speakers (Tekton Design 4.5) or my main speakers downstairs, but they do sound pretty good. The uni drivers provide fantastic soundstage and they work well near field as not all speakers will. I’ve used these speakers with 3 different amps and only one was a poor combination. First up was my 4.5wpc SET amp which is just so musical, and a touch warm which is common with tubes. This was a great combo as it toned down the uptick these speakers have in the highs. Next, I tried a sub $200 Class D amp and the highs just sounded too shrill and led to listening fatigue so I next tried with a Rega IO class AB amp and this was the best of both. More power than my tube amp while still not sounding shrill in the highs. I know this amp costs more than the Q150 at full MSRP, but it is a good pairing.
Overall I would recommend these to anyone that has space and wants a near field setup. I’m presently using these on some Kanto desktop stands with either my Oppo BDP-83SE universal disc player or my MacBook Pro as source (USB DAC) to a Rega IO integrated amp rated at 30wpc.
