Hands down the best relatively compact sub!
I was looking for a relatively small sub for my medium sized basement home theater. I needed some extra low end reach for my Goldenear Triton Three speakers and surrounds. The Kube12b fits the bill perfectly, even the matches the look with the gloss top and fabric sides. The KEF is an understated sub that does not draw much attention, which is good for the decor and spouse approval. As for performance, it is unbelievable! Now movies and music have some extra depth (but not bloat) from the Kube 12b. The real world measurements are impressive. In my room, I can get a FLAT corrected EQ curve to 15Hz at about 75db from Anthem Room Correction, WOW! I did a head to head with an SVS SB 2000 and the Kube12b produced 7-8db louder response from 15-25 Hz which is exactly where I want more output. The corrected sub EQ curve for the SVS tailed off at about 18 Hz. Needless to say I kept the KEF. This is the best relatively compact sub hands down that won’t overwhelm a room with its size!

Here’s why you buy this over a $400 klipsch. The bass is extremely tight and hits you right in the chest! It looks nice in your room. It has a setting for the corner where most people put a sub. I purchased this as a second sub to go with my bose acostamass 10 series V system. I’m also running an AQ irish red cable to it from a Yamaha v685.

Excellent for any system that needs to extend the lower audio frequency response range , very dynamic and the excellent damping factor from the class d amplification provides no obvious ringing resonance’s that make you think more is there ,this is very accurate for the price range,, the SPL claim is accurate to 400-600 sq ft room ,,” 2E tech “

I have another older , bass and I wanted to try 2 to balance everything. It works for me but I definitely do use this to its full capacity. But I am loving the kef brand, clean crisp speakers. I’m done with sound bars, unless I want to just spend $300 for a guest room or something.

Compact yet powerful subwoofer that really adds to the viewing experience.

The Kube 12 is impressive. I really like the fact that is is a sealed (not ported) enclosure. The bass is very tight and musical, not just a boom-boom box. However, during action movies, it shakes my whole room. One really nice feature is that is has dual inputs (i.e. line and speaker level). By using both (with a single RCA cable and 2 speaker cables), I get the benefit of the LFE “X.1” channel for movies, while for stereo music, it uses the speaker level input, which is best for music, where there is no LFE channel. I have it sitting in a corner, and it sounds great.

Fills the room with a sonic boom. Perfect room filling bass and elegant design. Am happy with purchase.

The KEF R-Series packages are worth every penny. The quality for music lovers exceeds expectations. I have also added the Center and towers to the set. Comes in many colors – easy to install.
Top notch! Highly recommend!

It’s big, and it sounds great. Brings out the best of my Kef R5s.

Amazing bass sound from this little unit. it’s a part of our theatre room set up and the sound fills the room and rounds out the rest of our KEF system so nicely.

This 12″ driven enclosed glossy/ ice cube shaped subwoofer is not only a beauty to behold but very well capable of shifting enough air to cover a large listening space. It has fast responsive bass that is tight but also more than able to provide the earth shaking sonics needed during movie watching. This unit comes alive in the 30Hz range, handing out well rounded bass with great depth and with pace. It can deliver down past the 20Hz with lower frequencies tapering off and never dropping suddenly. The built in KEF DSP allows set up to be easy, configure in-cabinet, corner or in-room, then either let your AVR handle the rest or adjust the volume and crossover to your liking.

Pairs perfectly with the 2xQ950 + 1xQ650 = 2xQ150 5.1 setup.

One of the best sounding subs that can be bought at any price

this si a great subwoofer, meets my expectations. I purchased this subwoofer as part of the KEF Spring event. It was a great purchase.

Very nice add to home theater since old sub was broken. Listening to the KEF knew it was excellent albeit expensive. Encourage all to go in to store and sample.

The spoed of this sub is incredible, especially for a non ported sub. It has the ability to recover to send out the next song note, kick drum, or movie explosion. Closest thing you can get to REL for half the cost.

Great subwoofer that is very understated in appearance in an open space given its size and sound performance.

Balanced and even, but booms when you need it. My music is even high/mid/low. The KEF Kube 12″ is subtle, yet noticeable. For movies, the subwoofer can rattle things and I had to turn it down a little.
