    Surprising amount of kick for a smaller unit. Considering a second for a 5.2.4 setup, but one just might be enough on its own.

    I purchased the KEF Kube 10b to complement a pair of LS50 Metas in my 2-channel setup. I’m very pleased with the performance as well as build quality and can highly recommend the Kube 10b in small to medium rooms especially for music. It wasn’t difficult to find the right location in the room as well as “dialing in” the settings regarding low pass and type of EQ (three choices including on wall, in room, etc) to achieve the best blending with the LS50s (may incorporate a MiniDSP later to fine tune). My guess is that it would be a good choice for HT as well but you might need two to get the best result in larger rooms. For “bass heads” or high volume HT applications it might make more sense to purchase a ported subwoofer or two or plan on two of these or the 12b models.

    Much more solid bass than the power rating indicates. I swear this sounds like a 800 watt amp. I love it…and reasonably priced! Traded in another subwoofer for this one and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

    Adds lots of bass. Had to purchase separately a subwoofer decoupling kit for the feet due to being installed on hard tile. The included rubber feet that are installed from KEF cant hold back the sheer power of this subwoofer. If you’re planning to install it on a solid cement floor and are okay with rattling the walls you might not not need a decoupling kit.

    Not a big sound guy, but I needed a good subwoofer for my family room setup. This thing hits. It’s very easy to fine tune the amount of bass you want and it’s very easy to connect to a receiver. Pretty much, plug and play.
    One thing though, this cube is big. I didn’t pay attention to the dimensions. Luckily, it was no problem for my current layout.

    All is great. Quality and sound is good for the money. One small improvement will be to have the ability to install bigger screws at the bottom. The sound dumpers are very inadequate and to upgrade it is impossible.

    Could no hear any difference with this subwoofer connected and its volume maxed out versus my full range floor standers alone, after carefully matching levels and playing stereo music.
    Overall it feels under-powered, I would take 300W spec with a grain of salt.
