It’s a great radio with wireless Apple CarPlay, however wireless Apple CarPlay does not always activate and the radio occasionally freezes, for the price the Sony version is better

The head unit is amazing. The amount of functions and features along with wireless car play makes this radio a steal. Something ive learned is that you almost cant have everything you want in 1 head unit, until thisnone. Car play, maestro car intergration, blue tooth, wiring for an additional front facing camera, this unit is solid gold and will be tough to beat

This car stereo is a jack-of-all trades in the best possible way. It has Carplay (wired and wireless). It has a nice responsive touchscreen. It allows for multiple cameras, including backup. The screen colors and icons are customizable. Most of all, it is simply well-made modern tech.
I technically bought this two months ago and had to wait one month for my Geek Squad appointment. Ian and his crew were professional and efficient. They explained the installation process and made sure I got the most out of my investment. I appreciate their attention to detail.
Once the stereo was installed, I did experience a small struggle getting wireless Carplay to work, even after initially starting with wired Carplay. Outside of that mishap, the stereo has worked perfectly for over a month now. I have not experienced any freezing issues and wireless Carplay works every time now.
In short, the value of this device is INSANE. There are not many car stereo receivers from trusted brands with this many features–all for under $500. It is a worthy investment!

I researched this item and was very excited to have it installed. After install when playing music wirelessly through Apple CarPlay there was a loud buzzing and feedback. Had to drive back to the store to have the install tech check it and their phone did the same thing. Had to take it out and then get a Sony Model. Very disappointed.

I purchased this unit to replace my existing head unit in my 2018 4-Runner. It was pretty easy to install…especially with the shallow depth of the unit. Plenty of room for the numerous wires to fit behind. The unit worked pretty well for a while…but I did notice the responsiveness lacked a bit sometimes. Sounded perfectly fine…until one day it decided to stop working. The screen went blank and it wouldn’t respond anymore to anything. So I am not sure exactly what happened. After numerous attempts to get it working…I finally gave up and returned the unit.
One main reason I purchased this unit to begin with was the features, price, and high number of great reviews it received. So I think I was just unlucky and got that rare bad apple. So you will likely not have the same problem if you give it it a try.
Best Buy was very helpful in accepting the return…so they get a big thumbs up for the customer service. I ended up purchasing an Alpine iLX-507…and it is an upgrade over this unit. But I will say it was a bit more difficult to install having a deeper depth of the unit. But I am very satisfied with the Alpine.

Did a lot of research in this price range and the JVC seemed to be the best. The wireless Android is awesome and it having a front and rear camera is also awesome. Sounds great too. Lots of tuning options.

I don’t know if it was the product itself or if it was because it was open box, but about a week after I installed it, it started having issues and eventually bricked itself. It was working wonderfully at first, and it had some nice features, so I gave it an extra star for that. When my phone connected to it, after about 30 seconds, the receiver would reboot, and it would keep doing that. After another day (I just kept my phone from connecting wirelessly and it was okish), the receiver wasn’t coming on at all. Luckily I was still in the return period so I brought it back even though it was a pain to have to remove the radio from the car.

Item is pretty much what I was looking for. BTW, speaking of what I was looking for, the big thing I wanted was SiriusXM. Unfortunately the sales person did not include the SiriusXM module. Luckily I spent some time going over the order and found it was missing and I had to order it separately. The install for all of this went well, but the XM radio kept on fading or cutting out completely. Took it back to the store and the techs were able to change the location of the antenna and everything now works properly. The carplay is working as expected and does the job wonderfully.

Purchased to replace the cheap one that came with my motorhome. It fit perfect in my double din slot. The installation was very easy because all the wires were very well labeled. The camera images were very high quality using the originally installed camera in the motorhome – a Thor Hurricane 35m. Using the Android Auto and very pleased with everything.
