    I wanted to upgrade my sound bar set up with something more punchy or base heavy and I definitely did that with this. Setting it up was easy. You’ll have to mess with the eq to get the most out of it but overall I’m happy with it.

    Love this setup! Got it to replace the receiver and tower speakers so it wouldn’t be as cluttered and have wires everywhere. Definitely don’t recommend booking it up via Bluetooth because the connection was always lost. Hardwired it in after losing connection multiple times. Bass is just right and clear sound

    Had the JBL 500 soundbar for bout 2 months now and am satisfied. Sound quality is great, setup was easy. Very good for the price as compared to the much more pricey Yamaha that it replaced! Nice soundbar!

    Buy this! Guys, the sound out of this is super loud and clear. I can’t even turn it up all the way because it’s to much. The bass in the subwoofer is bomb! You can feel it throughout the house. It will shake your furniture. You don’t need any extra speakers . This setup gives you some IMAX sound . No joke.

    This sound bar is a bargain. Setup was very simple and the subwoofer connected automatically. I’ve read reviews from others saying they couldn’t adjust the sound or couldn’t hear voices appropriately. Evidently, they are the problem. I’ve had no such issues and will say its worth more than I paid for it. JBL hit a homerun with this one.

    Just listening to this system, it can use some additional help as far as clear sound .i think the jbl 1000 sounds a lot better , due to it rear speaker

    Bass is exellent. Living room pefrect loudness at like 50%. 4k passthough was a must. Near 0 lag bith audio bideo. For clearer dialogue keep tje bass at like lvl 2-3. The network connectivity/app is trash. Doesnt need to be ivercomplicated and not only does it not increase the audio quality, hern thrning volume up or down the, the audio gets choppy and will start movi g up and down in its own. Not aure if its a cec thing, but took it off thr network, deleted the app, and has been flawless since then

    I wanted to love this jbl 500 soundbar and subwoofer but every 2 days when you turn on the tv, there is no sound from the soundbar. The only way to get sound is to unplug and plug it back in. When it works, it sounds good. I called jbl and troubleshoot but day after same issue no sound from sound bar. No one seems to know why this is happening. Cables are in the right place but the intermittent turning off is annoying.

    I paid too much to have to be unplugged and plugging in every 2 days. I can’t really enjoy the theater experience. Sad but I have to return and get something else.

    Bought this for my husband when his expensive sound bar went out after 7 years. I told him this was just a temporary fix until he can get another system. After connecting it, we were surprised at the quality of sound in our large room. He stated that this works just fine and no need to buy a more expensive system.

    Big improvement over an older Samsung 3.1 system with less power. This soundbar and subwoofer checks all the boxes. Great sound and bass. JBL app works great too. Syncs the sound to the room and you can also use your phone as a remote and also adjust EQ to your preference. App also updates software

    I wanted to add a theatre quality sound to my new 65” TV. Bought this JBL sound system at a great sale price and have not been disappointed! The sound from JBL Dolby Surround sound ATMOS system is fantastic! It’s like we are at the theater with the quality of sound this unit delivers. It truly makes movie watching more enjoyable. It s very easy to set up using the JBL app and the app also has a remote built in so you don’t always have to look for a misplaced remote. The app has a sound equalizer that allows you to set the sound settings to your specific sound and the bass has 5 output levels which can really put out some deep bass tones. I got the unit for less than $350 which is a great value for the sound quality this unit produces!

    This soundbar is the absolute Bomb! I would recommend this soundbar to anyone looking for that powerful bass and great sound quality while watching sports, movies, and tv in general. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the great sound quality and felt that bass roaring as I enjoyed a movie with my family. We felt like we were inside the movie.
