    Downloaded long video in no time at all. My laptop does not have an ethernet jack and trying to download the long video over Wi-Fi was taking forever, even though I have very fast Wi-Fi. I hooked this device up directly to my router and the video downloaded within minutes. I would recommend this to anybody who has a laptop without an ethernet jack and needs to download large files. One of the best devices I have purchased in a long time.

    Works great. Handy – very small to keep in my laptop bag without taking up a lot of space and without being heavy. Although I don’t usually need to use it all of the time, it’s great to have for when I do need it. In fact, just a few minutes before seeing the request from Best Buy to do a review of this, I was in a situation where I was downloading something from the Internet onto my laptop using the home’s Wi-Fi, and I was in a corner of my home where the Wi-Fi signal is very weak and the large download was taking a much longer time to complete. There was a network cable outlet in the wall next to the laptop, and I had a network cable, but my laptop doesn’t have a built-in network cable input. So, I went looking for my j5create Ethernet adapter to hook up everything, and downloaded the file much faster now that it was being downloaded through a hard-wired connection. So, it was actually a life-saver for me right before I started to write this review.

    We have good wifi throughout the house. But with this ethernet adapter coupled with a Zytel Network adapter I can have wired internet outdoors on our patio.

    I love my Dell 16″ Inspiron Lap Top even more now that I can connect ethernet using USB !

    Gives more secure internet connection than wi-fi for a budget price. Definitely a must-consider,in my opinion, if your laptop does not have a built-in cat5 or 6 ethernet cable jack.

    I am a service technician. I use my laptop to connect to equipment for Diagnostic purposes this little device allows me to use a tablet instead of a laptop. Easier to carry and far more durable more durable.

    Great little adapter for USB-A ports. If your computer has an available USB-C port, get the USB-C version of these. Much faster.

    This replaced a failing network card. I had to return a different one I bought there cause in did not say on the box it needed windows 10 only in the instructions. This one works with win 7 and up. Like other said I’m not sure it does the gig speed but might be a limitation of my desktop. I am using it in a 3.0 socket. It’s plenty fast.

    I used this to hardwire my switch dock to my router.doesnt get any easier. Literally unit in to the dock, plug your cat5 from then router into this adapter, and play.
