My wife was taking an allergy pill a day because of her bad allergies. I originally had this in our living room, but realized we only spent a few hours there during the day so I moved it into the bedroom and run it at night on fan speed 2 while we sleep. I’m a very light sleeper and I can’t hear it. Needless to say my wife no longer takes allergy pills on a daily basis. She only takes it when she feels an allergy attack coming which is once every few months.
The unit does have 3 filters and when compared to other air purifiers I’ve owned, these are substantially larger, so I understand the price point and how this unit can filter so much smaller than less expensive units.
All I know if this unit works!

Thank God Mr. FedEx ground driver was able to bring the unit up the stairs to my condo landing.
There was a box inside a box for extra shipping protection.
Assembled unit with optional casters (wheels).
Quickly ran thru a few commands on the control panel to get it going. Remote control is easier to use.
Too bad machine doesn’t work with the Google Home App. So no voice commands at the moment.
It’s really not that quiet. But I can live with that if machine does what the videos claim it does.
Suggest you watch two quick videos from manufacturers website to get an overview of product.
Did I mention I have COPD ?
Hope relief is quickly on the way help cuz I need help !!

I have allergies and a propensity to get asthmatic bronchitis quite a bit. My office which I share with my canine friend is about 600sq/ft.
On a normal day you can see dust/dander/fur visibly floating through the air. And it’s not due to a lack of cleaning. I have (had now) 2 cheaper HEPA filters strategically placed in the office. And still stuff was floating around.
In comes the healthpro plus. It has been running well over 24 hours now. Not only is there no dust or particles of fur/etc floating in the air – the air actually SMELLS lighter and clean – I know that sounds weird. But it’s true.
Now, according to the instructions you don’t have to have the unit on 24/7 to get the maximum effect. With that in mind there is a schedule/timer so the unit can kick on and off at your discretion.
There are six “Speeds”. The highest, #6 is really the only one I would consider slightly noisy. VERY slightly. My old cheapo HEPA filter systems made it sound like a 747 was about to land in my office. This on the other hand is just an audible HUM.
The speeds are really just to use according to the size of the area you are filtering. #6 is if you were trying to filter an 1100sq/ft or so room. #2 or 3 which is basically silent does the trick in my office. And I do love the fact it comes with a remote.
The difference between this unit and other I have tried is that this is actually “HyperHEPA” which can filter down smaller than a virus and bacterial cell!
It is a 3 filter system so the only con will be when it’s time to replace them. But what is the cost of your health in the longrun? This is a very wise investment with that in mind.

==== Design & Build ====
In terms of how it looks, the IQAir HealthPro Plus doesn’t really stand out in its plain light gray color. What it lacks in flashy design and more stylish color options, it makes up for it through its high-quality and sturdy plastic build material, its excellent fit-and-finish, and its solid construction. When moving it around via its wheels or the heavy-duty handle, the unit feels rock-solid and doesn’t make any rattling or tappity plastic sounds at all. Speaking of wheels, the caster wheels are very easy to install and having them on improves air flow by lifting up the unit an additional two inches off the floor.
Air is taken in from underneath the unit, filtered, then expelled out through the top opening which IQAir calls the “Evenflow Diffuser.” IQAir says the air is blown out in a 320-degree radius to reduce noise and prevent drafts. After sleeping with the IQAir for several nights, I can definitely confirm that their claims are true. The air sound is even, constant, and very low-noise (at speed settings 1 through 3). At higher speed settings, you may not be able to fall asleep. Your mileage will vary, of course.
As for draft prevention, I didn’t feel any. When I put my hand across the vents, all I feel are steady and even blow-out of air.
The centrifugal fan, which offers speed settings between 1 through 6, performed as expected with no weird or unusual sounds. Speeds ramp up and down smoothly and predictably.
For filter access, it is a very simple affair. No tools are required and all I had to do was to use my thumbs and push to pop off the two locking arms. To relock, they just snap back in.
For design & build quality, it gets 5-Stars from me.
==== Set Up ====
Using the IQAir HealthPro Plus could not have been any easier. Thanks to its long 10-ft power cord with a 2-prong wall outlet connector, it was easy to find the “sweet spot” for it in any room. With all the filters pre-installed, all I had to do was press the “power on” button to begin using it. By default, the fan speed was set to Level 3 when I first turned it on, which was the perfect setting for my bedroom.
In order to calculate the ideal fan speed for a room or living space, the user manual offers a very helpful general formula:
Hourly air delivery of IQAir (cfm) x 60 / Air volume of room (cu.ft) (L X W X H) = Air Changes Per Hour (ACH)
According to IQAir, an air purifier system “should be able to filter the room air volume at least twice every hour on the set fan speed to achieve a significant air quality improvement.” Based on their recommendation and the formula above, my bedroom’s air volume would be cleaned three times every hour at fan speed Level 3.
For larger living spaces, such as my living room, I had to use the control panel to increase the fan speed to Level 4.
Inside the Control Panel menus, there are several options for the user to set – view Filter Life Monitor, set Timer On period, set Automatic Timer days of the week, Timer On fan speed, Timer Off fan speed, Time & Day setting, Filter Life Reset, Airflow Unit display, Language display, and Current Model display. All the buttons on the Control Panel are well-laid out, easy to press, and very responsive to my inputs.
The remote control buttons’ input responsiveness was also good, but the range was kind of poor. The manual says I should have a 20-ft range but in my case, it was more like 5 to 6 feet.
All in all, the IQAir HealthPro Plus is a very easy and intuitive machine to operate.
==== Performance ====
I mainly used the IQAir HealthPro Plus inside my bedroom and it was a pleasure. We have two indoor dogs (a Maltese and an American Eskimo) and one cat (doll-face Persian) and they generate lots of pet pander, loose hair, dust, and odors collectively. The IQAir cleaned up the air and made it refreshing and easier to breathe, reducing allergy symptoms such as runny nose and sneezing. It also managed to suppress and get rid of the lingering dog smell which sometimes wakes me up in the middle of the night.
I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised about how well it worked considering this is a $900 machine. Regardless, I’m VERY impressed and satisfied with my IQAir HealthPro Plus. With a 4-yo daughter running around everywhere, it is very reassuring to me and to my family to have such an awesome air cleaner.
==== My Take ====
The IQAir HealthPro Plus has definitely lived up to all of its claims for me – solid & durable build quality, low-noise fan, easy & intuitive control panel, odor-eliminating filters, and production of clean and refreshing air. $900 is a lot of money but IQAir justifies its cost through its high-quality air filtration, long filter lives, and flexible timer and scheduling options. Not only that, it will protect both the short-term and long-term health of my family and I, which is the most valuable thing for me in the world.
Zunderwood –
I recently took receipt of my IQAIR HealthPro Plus 1125 Sq Ft Air Purifier. The unit, which is 28”H x 15”W x 16”D, weighs in at about 35 lbs. Setup was pretty uneventful. After connecting the four floor casters to the bottom of the unit, I went through the Menu system – an option on the Control Panel – and answered a series of question prompts.
The Control Panel includes a Power Key, an Arrow Key for selecting different options, a Menu Key, and an Enter Key. The Control Panel also has LEDs – each corresponding to the filters inside the IQAir – where each LED displays a color representing the life of each filter. For example:
– Green indicates that the particular filter is still within 80% of its
estimated life
– Orange indicates that the particular filter is approaching the last
20% of its estimated life
– Red indicates that the particular filter has reached the end of its life
– Red Blinking indicates that is past its end of life and should be
replaced immediately
The Control Panel also has a lockout feature to prevent tampering. This is accomplished by pressing the Menu and Enter key simultaneously for 3 seconds. Unlock the Control Panel in the same manner.
Repeatedly pressing the Menu button scrolls you through a series of prompts. Among others, prompts include day of the week and time of day. If you want to use the timer, it prompts you for a start and stop time in which the unit will automatically run, as well as which days of the week it should run. We set it to turn on at 8pm each evening and to turn off at 8am each following morning. This happens seven days a week. It also prompts for a default fan speed for when the unit is in timer mode. We kept the default fan speed, which is 3.
Fan speeds range from 1 to 6, with 1 being the slowest. At 1, the sound of the fan is barely noticeable. At 6, it’s much, much louder. Running the unit at night on level 3 proved perfect for us. A lot of people we know enjoy playing music or have sound-making machines in their bedrooms to help them fall asleep. For us, the background hum of the HealthPro Plus at level 3 accomplishes the same thing.
The unit comes with three installed filters. They are:
– At the bottom is the PreMax Filter. This removes most coarse and
fine dust particules. This is rated for 5,386 hours.
– In the middle is the V5-Cell. This retains a wide spectrum of gases
and odors through adsorption and chemisorption processes. This is
rated for 7,086 hrs.
– At the top is the HyperHEPA filter. This is a tightly pleated high-
efficiency particulate air filter. This is rated for 15, 186 hours.
As stated in the manual, the relationship between the current fan speed and the remaining filter life is expressed as follows: The higher the current fan speed setting, the shorter the displayed remaining filter life.
The HealthPro Plus comes equipped with a Remote Control. This is handy if you’re sitting or lying down and want to turn the unit on or off, to change the fan speed, or to turn the predefined timer on or off.
The Control Panel – which is located on top of the unit – does have illumination that is visible at night. We were concerned about light intrusion into our bedroom, but in the end found that the light didn’t bother us at all while sleeping.
We don’t have an air quality monitor at home to perform before and after comparisons to gauge how well the HealthPro Plus succeeds at reducing air particulates, so our observations are anecdotal. However, just walking into one of our rooms at home you can see particulates floating in the air and reflecting through the sunlight. Dust, cat hair – especially, and other particles like pollen are obvious and long-standing problems. I am regularly awakened at night with clogged sinuses and dry eyes.
I have documented – and serious – dust and cat hair allergies. From the first night using this air filter, I found that my allergies were the best they’ve been in years. The automatic timer turns on the unit at 8pm – giving it a good time to run and filter particulates before we head to bed – and stays on throughout the night. As a long-term allergy sufferer, I feel comfortable attributing my improvement directly to this unit.
The HealthPro Plus comes with a one-year limited warranty. For the original purchaser, filling out the warranty information within 30 days of purchase converts the warranty to a ten-year limited warranty.
I’m quite pleased with this unit and think you will be too.
FlyingC –
We have quite a few indoor cats, so we are constantly battling hair, dander, and especially litter dust. We also live in an area where about 9 months of the year has high pollen and mold counts, as well as occasionally smoke from wild fires. We’ve only been running the HealthPro Plus for a day now, but I can already tell the difference in air quality in that part of the house. At the rated 1125 square feet coverage, this would be perfect for an apartment or small house. Our whole house is about twice that size, so we may end up getting a second one if it continues to perform well.
I really like the simple design of this system. It reminds me of those stackable Bento lunch boxes. There’s a pre-filter level, two levels taken by the fan motor, a level for the charcoal filter, and a level for the final stage hepa filter. It’s all held together by the two side arms, so it’s super easy to open up and access the filters. Hopefully that won’t be needed too much, as the filters are pretty expensive to replace.
The fan is very quiet on the lower settings, but you definitely notice it at the 5 and 6 settings. With it running on the 4 setting, it’s about as loud as when our central air system runs, which means you can hear it but it’s definitely not a distraction. Considering the volume of air that it’s pulling through the filters, it’s amazingly quiet.
The IQAir folks say “average use” is running it on the 3 setting for 10 hours per day. Given that usage, they say the filters should last 18, 24, and 48 months respectively for the pre-filter, V5 charcoal filter, and the hepa filter respectively. With ours running at the 4 setting for 24 hours/day, the filter life estimate from the menu is showing 4068, 5356, and 11,492 hours for each. (5-6 months, 7-8 months, and 16 months) From the IQAir site, replacement filters are $70, $100, and $200 respectively. But, really, if this effectively keeps down the allergen levels in our air it will be totally worth it.
I’m also really impressed that this is made by the company in Switzerland and not China like most things these days. The instructions and documentation included with it is also excellent. It comes with a 1-yr warranty, but when you register it for home use they extend that to 10 years which is pretty incredible for a fan that could run something like 87,000 hours in that time period.
My wife had been saying for months that we should get some sort of air filter, and now I’m confident we have the best one that’s on the market. Probably the only thing better for our situation would be to install a whole-house system (which IQAir also sells). But for now, we’ll run this and maybe get a second one and see if that effectively covers our entire house.

While I do not have an air quality monitor, I can say that after just 24 hours of running this machine, the air in my home feels and smells much fresher. Our home was previously owned by someone who smoked no less than 72 cigarettes a day and did so in the house. It has been a great challenge to get the house odor free despite scrubbing the walls and ceiling, replacing all of the flooring, cleaning air ducts, replacing HVAC, using 25 gallons of kilz on the walls and multiple coats of paint. Even after all of that there has been a lingering funk near our garage and this air cleaner has been the perfect solution. I ran it on fan speed 2 which is 75 CFM for 48 hours and this did wonders for us. The higher speeds do get a little noisier, but allow for faster air exchange. At 300 CFM noise level is equivalent to sitting next to a window AC blower without the high pitch. The only thing that would make it better is if it has smart home capabilities, but this is not a dealbreaker. Looking forward to having friends and family over to see how this helps mitigate their pet allergies as we also have 2 cats. As an added bonus this has helped diminish litterbox odors without creating anxiety for my cats!

Being asthmatic, my breathing is sensitive to most chemicals; especially smoke and elevated ozone levels. Beach living in the Carolina comes with some serious summer heat, humidity and ozone. For the last 5 years, from May – Oct, these less than desirable conditions have caused numerous episodes where my airways have become inflamed and feel as if they are closing. ER trips are never fun, especially when you can’t breathe.
Once we got our hands on the IQAir, we were able to replace 2 smaller & very popular models by a different manufacturer (which did help my condition some), but were pale in comparison in reducing HCHO/VOC levels in testing multiple times with a calibrated Air Quality monitor. We are down to under .009 HCHO & .010 TVOC in the 1st month of use! Previously, we had levels 50-60% higher without the IQAir purging our environment of toxins and impurities.
The unit is incredibly well built & extra quiet. We keep the IQAir positioned not far from the main air return for our central HVAC in our 1 story home.
The IQAir HealthPro Plus 1125 Sq. Ft Air Purifier is a hands-down game changer in the most simple, effective way I could have ever hoped for. If you take one thing away from reading this review – let it be this -> Do not let the price deter you from purchasing this life changing investment. Your lungs will thank you.
Oh, and the air in your dwelling with be so odorless and fresh, guests will notice – promise!

I get nasty allergies in the spring and ragweed allergies and dry eyes in the summer, as well as the layer of smog living in Utah. This has done a great job of alleviating those allergies. Add in two cats, two dogs, and you got a house that has very questionable air. I turn it on to level 6 when I get home for a half hour and level 1 after that. Keeps the house smelling fresh without needing chemical perfumes. Only had it for a few days so far, but looking forward to its use during the cold/flu season and family gatherings. Only “issue” is it’s huge, so this really isn’t for small houses.

We’ve used less expensive air purifiers over the years without really much effect.
This IQAir Healthpro Plus is a totally different animal, and if you’re serious about breathing cleaner air in your house, you may want to consider it. I’m happy about the fact it does NOT use ozone to clear the air. Ozone can cause its own set of problems as you can read about online.
As you’ve probably read in other reviews, the Healthpro Plus is SOLID; 35 pounds and sits on the floor. It’s well made in Switzerland. It has ‘quality’ written all over it. To be worth around $900 it would have to, and it does. It can handle smoke, pollen and dust with ease.
I was delighted to see after I unpacked it from the box, that it’s completely pre-assembled except for the 4 casters you can install on the bottom. (The casters are not necessary for operation.) You can just place it on the floor, plug it in and turn it on.
My 10-year-old granddaughter has severe allergies to pollen and dust. Also, there’s a horse barn just a block away so she’s often in distress, with her Benadryl and inhaler always close by. Her allergist told us the importance of a good air purifier. He said if she uses it for the 8 hours that she’s doing homework in her room and sleeping, the pure air will help her body “reset” to fight the allergens she’s going to experience the next day.
The Healthpro Plus has all kinds of programmable features, you can schedule it to run at different times and different speeds on different days of the week; programming it did seem kind of complicated. Fortunately, in our case, she just taps the power button once in the evening and the same button turns it off when she’s ready for school the next day. The unit remembers the fan speed selected.
To put the unit to the test, we bought an air quality monitor and was curious to see how the Healthpro would work in a scientific manner. It measures atmospheric particulate matter in both 2.5 and 10 micrometers. 2.5 micrometers is about 3 per cent the diameter of a human hair. On the day we tested, before we turned on the Healthpro, we were measuring an average of SIX to EIGHT ug/m3 of both. According to the EPA, hitting a level of 12 would be of moderate risk in sensitive individuals. We turned on the unit and let it run for half an hour in my granddaughter’s room. We returned to find the level at ZERO, occasionally spiking at 1. Our faces lit up, but not as much as our granddaughters the next morning when she woke up. She didn’t have the watery eyes and sneezes which usually greeted her in the morning. Just seeing her that happy was worth the relatively high cost of the unit.

My wife and son suffer from a variety of airborne allergies, and, since moving to Arizona, some have gone away, and others have become more acute. The amount of dust out here is legendary, and, as great as it is living here, one of the worst things is the airborne pollution that comes through here, especially during the monsoon season. We don’t usually open the windows because of that, but we do spend most of our time outdoors, so the doors open and close numerous times a day, allowing dust and other pollutants into our house. We’ve had a couple of good air cleaners since moving here, but, I knew that this one would be the most effective for helping out with airborne pollutants, and after a few days of use, I can confirm that!
Very quiet at low speeds, and not too bad at max speeds, within an hour of hooking it up, my wife and I both noticed a BIG difference in the air quality in our house. Considering all the stages of filtration this unit offers, its no surprise in how effective it is.
Its hard to put a price on good health/air quality, but, if you want the best, look no farther than this unit..Highly recommended!

I’m no stranger to HEPA air purifiers, I’ve had many of them for more years than they were mainstream, with multiples in my house as the norm. Now, you’ll see the market flooded with them, some are good, some are okay, some are junk, and then sometimes you find something really great. This one is really great!
From the moment you open the box, you see that this is a really well engineered/designed product, and well built too. It is top shelf, best money can buy kind of look and feel. Then you peek under the hood and realize this is much more than simply an air purifier. This is engineering genius and quality product made from serious materials.
I was a 9/11 first responder, so clean air is important to me. I’ve had more sinus and ear infections since that time than you can imagine. Knowing I’m doing all I can do to keep my air clean at home is important to me and will prolong my life.
I have dogs, two of them, both with long hair. One that weighs 90lbs and one that weighs 12lbs. Both give off lots of fur, dander, dust, etc. I take them to the park every day, at least once a day, which means they track in dirt/dust/mud/etc. although they don’t play in mud or anything. I’m not giving them up, so I have to find ways to minimize the impact on our household air.
So, all of that said, I monitor the air quality in my house and tune the humidity, temperature, etc. to what is optimum for healthy air and ease of breathing. I use the best vacuum money can buy, mop the tile/hardwood floors often, and generally look for any additional ways to reduce particulates in the air created by life in general, pollen, dust, etc.
Anyway, this unit is amazing. This unit starts with a pre-filter that sucks air in from UNDER the unit, very smart. Then is moves through several more filters, and delivers diffused air through the top of the unit. Many units disperse air in one way only, meaning if you walk by it you get a shot of air that might feel cold on a bad back, or just overwhelming. This one has vents all around and it disperses the filtered air out all around it, so the whole room gets the chance to get fresh air – and it is completely away from the air intake on the bottom.
I’m a guy that feels like if I need to read the manual, it wasn’t designed well. This was super easy. Install the wheels to the mounting bars, snap on no tools. Snap the mounting bars to the underside of the unit, no tools required. Remove the outer wraps. Plug in, and turn on. Just like that the unit starts running. The control panel provides a logical menu and does not overwhelm you with endless options.
I set the day and time, and did that so I could crank up the unit to a higher fan level at night, when everyone was in bed (this unit is on the first floor), without disturbing them with the extra noise. I’ve been running the unit on 4 of 6 fan speed all day, then use the timer feature to go to speed 6 from midnight to 6am, which gives me time to get vacuuming and mopping done before it goes up to speed 6. By morning, it is back to speed 4 and will have had time to super clean the air to start the new day.
This unit comes with a remote, so if you want to crank it up/down while sitting on the couch, you can. You can also turn it on/off from the remote. Menu features require you to go to the control panel, which makes sense.
The unit is much quieter than other units I’ve used at the similar air speeds that produce the same clean air ratings. I think it is because they disperse the air evenly around, not just out the top or side.
The fact this has wheels, it makes it easy to move from room to room. This is important, so you can move it to where you are spending time at any given part of your day. I keep it in our living room/dining room, but do move it to the middle of the room when we all head up to bed, and move it back in the morning.
So as for performance, this is after all, what most will compare. I will say that there has been a drop during the daytime hours of the dust levels (measure on my air monitor as (ug/m). It is a 5-10 point drop but why this matters is it seems that level kept going up each day before I used this unit – the other unit wasn’t able to keep up with the dust levels. Same with the Chemicas/VOC’s, which is measured in PPM. This has also dropped since using this unit. At night, when the dogs are upstairs and the unit can work at full speed, I’ve dropped about 20 points on the dust levels. This is significant because I’ve already been conditioning the air with multiple air cleaners around my house, including a HEPA filter on the heat pump that provides A/C and heat.
If you don’t believe in meters and measurements, I can tell you that the nose knows best, right? I can cook dinner and sometimes the cooking smells would linger into the next day, even with using a HEPA air purifier, which seemed odd, but happened. With this unit, with an hour or two, the air no longer smells like what I cooked for dinner. Seriously. And the dog smells are non-existent. Between these two things alone (dogs and dinner), the house should smell, but it doesn’t smell like anything, it is just nicely cleaned and filtered air. The air quality monitor I have proves this is true, but my nose tells me for sure. And the fall allergy sufferers in my house have had relief sitting downstairs taking in this purified air.
You’ll find lots of good info in the literature that accompanies this unit. Most impressive is the certificate that shows you the actual report card for your specific unit – it isn’t made up, they actually test and measure each units effectiveness before it leaves the factory and heads to your home.
If you value clean air, if you need clean air, you need this unit. I plan to save to get the portable units they make for the car, which is really cool. And a portable for when I’m on travel. They make so many cool products that if they work half as good as this, they are worth it.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, this comes with a 10 year warranty once you register it, and then it is supposed to be providing more clean air, quieter, and longer lasting filters than previous generations of this….I didn’t have one of these before to know, but this is reassuring.
Remember Best Buy’s return policy. If you aren’t happy, you can return it. But when you give it the “nose” test, you’ll understand this unit is doing all it promises, and more. Cook that dinner and give it an hour, the smell is gone. That will assure you that not only does it get rid of that odor, it is scrubbing the air and making it a better environment for you to live in.

As a kid, I never had any issues with allergies. Once I started getting older though, allergies very much became a thing. I’m not sure if it’s just a placebo effect, but the IQAir filter does seem to help some.
The box the filter came in was enormous. I drive a small car, and I had to pick it up from my local FedEx store. I could just barely fit it in my back seat.
The filter was very easy to setup. Lie the box on its side, open the top, remove the styrofoam with the casters and paperwork, and pull the filter out by the handle.
I will warn you that the handle is plastic and doesn’t feel terribly stable. Also, the two side pieces are plastic and kind of “clipped” into place. I knocked the one ajar when removing the filter and had to snap it back into place.
The caster rails just clip into place along the bottom, and the casters themselves have to be smashed onto little plastic pegs protruding from the rails until they click (this was the hardest part of the whole setup process).
The filter offers variable fan speeds ranging from 1-6. I found 1-3 were fairly quiet and easy to tune out. Above 3, the filter becomes quite loud and distracting.
The filter advertises that it’s able to filter out ultra-fine particle (UFPs). This was another big selling point for me as I have a small 3D printer, and there has been a lot of stuff in the news lately about the dangers of UFPs from these types of devices. It gives me some peace of mind that I’m not poisoning myself to death for the sake of 3D printing little plastic boats.
All in all, I’m pleased with this air filter and would recommend it to a friend.

Make no mistake, this unit is BIG. But it’s on casters, so rolling it away to the closet is simple enough. I have allergies to dust, my dogs’ dander, ragweed (in full bloom at the moment), and mold. And we just put a new natural fiber rug in the master bedroom. I read a ton of reviews for different air purifiers and filters, and most of them said the same thing—don’t waste time with the little guys, just get a serious one like this and do it right. This one comes fully assembled, save snapping on the wheels. Instructions are beautifully simple down to how to easiest remove the packaging and operate the remote. I was impressed with how easy it is to set and forget. The one thing I will note is the clips that hold the bottom in place are rather flimsy, so just don’t knock it around. Other than that, it’s sturdy, has a handle, and the wheels make it necessarily portable to get it out of view when not in use. We used it in the master at night and in the living room during the day. The awful new rug smell in the master went away in two days. After four days I was waking up without stuffy nose or sore throat for the fist time in ages!! The air actually smells different. I can’t wait to see the difference it makes in the amount of dust over time. I would give five stars for function and 3.5 for build quality. Total 4 stars and definitely recommend.

Both of us have seasonal allergies and we got this purifier to see if it would help. The good news: yes, it was a huge help reducing allergy issues substantially. The bad news: anything above speed 2 was too loud for my husband.

I have two cats in my household, and two friends are sensitive to the smell of pets in general. I ran the unit by for 2 hours in a 700 sq ft space prior to having my friends over. Both said they could barely tell I had pets in my home. Both stated their nose didn’t feel stuffy or itchy!
In addition to the test above I have used the air filter when making food with strong smells that tend to linger for long periods of time. Lingering smells have no longer been an issue. I have the filter on a schedule so that it runs 2 hours before I get home from work every day, so that I come home to a clean/fresh smelling home. I feel more at ease running this filter since I am getting quality air in my home.

The iQ air Health Pro Plus is an amazing air purifying system. It looks pretty good and doesn’t get too loud unless it’s on high.
We have 4 pets and 3 kids so needless to say we have a lot of dust and dander floating around. We have our air purifier in our finished basement and it has worked wonderfully. I’m picky about smells and before having the iQ Air I could always tell there was something in the air. Now I can absolutely tell the air is so much cleaner. It’s hard to describe but the air just feels cleaner and easier to breathe.
I usually have the fan running at 4-5 and it isn’t that loud at all. I’d say 3 is the sweet spot but I like having it at higher speeds to filter the air faster.
It came packaged very well and was easy to lift out of the box. Pop on the casters, plug it in and you’re ready to breath cleaner air.
My only concern is the cost of replacement filters when needed. The iQ air plus has several filters and each comes with a cost. They say they will last 4 yrs though so I’m ok with that.
Overall this is an amazing, high quality product. If you want clean air for a bedroom or smaller space and you are in the market for an air purifier- this is the one to get.

I’ve had pretty sever allergies since I was very young. I’m on a few allergy medications that help, but I still tend to wake up with drainage, itchy eyes, etc… I don’t have any inside animals, but live in a rural area with several types of animals and plenty of pollen, weeds, etc. all around my house. I was excited to get this unit and try it out.
Whoa…. This thing is bigger than I thought! Not a bad thing, but be prepared. Out of the box assembly simple so I powered it on. Has fan speeds from 1-6, I prefer 4 in my house. Not too noisy and moves air at the right speed for me. I like the remote so I can turn it up from the couch or a different room. The timer feature is also super convenient. I can set it to run at a higher speed while we’re at work and slow down when I get home so its quieter. I planned on waiting a few days to write a review on this but honestly I noticed a difference after only a few hours! The next morning there was a definite difference in the air. It just spelled different, I wasn’t waking up with a runny nose and was not sneezing! That’s a first! I always sneeze in the morning for years now, but not anymore! It’s weird to say, but there as definitely a difference for both me and my wife in our air quality.
I highly recommend this to everyone. I’ve already told several family members to go out and buy one. Yes its expensive, but it has a 10 year warranty and is worth it!

I currently have 3 Air Purifiers in my home (multiple manufactures), I’ve found that they reduce dust and improve air quality… which is obviously what they should do. But for larger rooms they must be on high to move enough air to really do a good job (move 2x volume of room/hour). And I don’t like the background noise they create (some is to be expected), especially since they get louder the more they’ve run (until filter cleaned/replaced). the IQAir HealthPro Plus is a much larger Air Purifier than my others, it’s maximum coverage area is 1125 sq feet, my others are in the couple of hundred of feet. My great room (Kitchen, Living Room & Family Room) is about 950 sq feet, so this seemed about perfect.
Getting the system set up was pretty, easy. The unit is pretty heavy (about 30 lbs), I removed the accessories, and placed the box on it’s side and pulled it out by is plastic bag. After that getting the casters on and attaching the cord was a simple task. The rest comes completely assembled (filters already in place). Up and running in 2 minutes..
After reading the instructions (which are very well written), I determined the best location would be the intersection of my 3 rooms (exactly where I had one of my old Air Purifiers). After a little rearranging I was ready to turn it on. The fan makes a much lower frequency noise than my previous unit (higher pitch motor). I decided that the Speed 3 was optimal for the area I had, I prefered speed 2 in terms of sound but 3 moved more air. As I read on I found I could set on off timers, either daily or weekly. I decided to have the unit run at Speed 3 from 11pm till 7am and at Speed 2 from 7am till 7pm and Speed 1 from 7pm till 11pm (at speed 1 it can barely be heard (perfect for Dinner/TV time)). This flexibility allowed me to keep the Air Purifier moving sufficient air but making it more quiet while I’m closest to it. I’m thinking I might cut back on my night time run time after more use/experimenting.
The HealthPro Plus unit includes a pre-filter (rated at about 16 months use (replacement cost ~$79)), and a HyperHEPA filter (rated at 4 yrs use (replacement cost ~$199)) and a V5-Cell filter (gas/odor filter; for about $99, rated at 2 yrs usage). A HealthPro unit can be upgraded to a HeathPro Plus with the addition of the V5-Cell filter. A HealthPro Compact can not be upgraded. Changing filters is pretty straight forward, the sides of the Air Filter tower pull away, and the 1st, 4th and 5th module of the tower slides out to change the filters (motor/blower in section 2 & 3). The IQAir comes with a 5 year warranty, which will be extended to 10 if you register your unit with in 30 days of purchase. The unit includes a remote control which allows you to change the speed and turn the unit on and off from up to about 15′ away (not sure I’ll ever use it, but it’s nice have it available).
So far I’m very impressed with the unit, it’s timers flexibility is awesome, it moves a lot more air than smaller units, and it removes particles much smaller than almost any other product on the market. The product is extremely well made, and with it’s extended warranty, I trust that it will have a long useful life. And I’ll breath better!

I’ve only had the the IQAir – HealthPro Plus Air Purifier for about a week, but so far it’s working much better than any of the other air cleaners/purifiers I’ve had over the past few years. It’s a very well built product, and for the most part, the design is well thought out. It’s a bit larger than I expected, but then again it’s packed with 3 filters and it can move quite a bit of air. It’s still too early to know if the 3 different filters will last as long as they are supposed to, but if their lifespans aren’t much shorter than what is projected, I think their replacement cost should be well worth it.
There’s really not much assembly to be done once you unbox the unit; you simply attach the power cord, and if you want to make the unit mobile, you have to attach 2 rails and 4 casters. I decided to install the casters so I could roll the purifier to different rooms, but even that took less than 5 minutes. I also checked see how hard filter replacement would be, and it’s very simple; there are two locking arms (one infront and one in back) that unclip from the top and then swing away from the unit, and then the sections with whatever filter needs to be replaced can just be popped out and then popped back in once the new filter is installed… very easy! I’ve been using the product primarily in my living room, but I’ve also taken it into the bedroom a few times, but wherever the unit is located, the air is noticeably fresher. There are 6 fan speeds, but if you’re going to be in the room, I doubt very seriously you’ll be able to use purifier with the fan on anything past 3. I have been keeping the speed at 2 when we’re watching TV and it’s barely detectable, but on 3, it’s definitely audible and the volume on the TV has to be turned up a bit. Of course speeds 4,5, and 6 are even louder, but I have used those when using the timer function when we’re leaving the house for a while. The only real problem I’ve had with this product so far is the remote. The IR sensor on the unit is located on the top, and for some reason, I can’t get the signal from the remote to bounce off my ceilings, walls, or windows… so I have to hold the remote up, so it’s above the top of the unit, and then point the remote down at the unit. This isn’t a huge problem, but for a product that costs as much as this does, I’m not sure why additional sensors weren’t included on other areas of the purifier so the remote could be used more ‘mindlessly’.
Overall, I’m impressed with this product. Again, if the filters last as long as they’re supposed to, the replacement costs should be well worth the increased air quality I’ve seen. The only issue I had was with the remote, but I wouldn’t consider that a reason to not buy this unit if you’re looking for a great air purifier.

This filter is premium and the price reflects that. The absolute main purpose is to reduce fine particulate matter in an area that is being inhabited, i.e. reduce the fine particles that are getting into your body. This will be most important for people with various ailments and conditions tied to the respiratory system. We can all benefit from less breathable small particles in the air, but its best to have a way to measure this. That’s were an additional purchase of a PM2.5 meter with a reliable sensor comes in.
The presentation on this unit is great. When you unpack, its already assembled and ready to plug in and turn on and use. Just add the included brackets and rolling casters if wanted. AND it has a test report for the actual unit, a very nice touch on the individual performance of the unit before packing, compared to some company set benchmarks.
I’d recommend using this with a PM2.5 (measures particulate matter 2.5 microns or smaller) meter, so you can see the change in a particular room for fine particulate matter. I can see the PM2.5 number on the meter go down after an hour (my meter readout only updates every ten minutes from one minute samples from sensor) after turning this filter onto fan speed setting 3 in a large size room next to the downstairs “mud” room, that gets a lot of air exchange with the outside.
At fan speed one, it is very quiet, at fan speed six, it is very loud. I.e. fan speed one would work well in a smaller bedroom at night, and fan speed six, well its pretty loud and I guess it might have its use in some party or noisy situation arts and crafts / home improvement type situation where you want as much filtration as possible.
There is an odor filter on this unit and it works pretty well, a nice secondary feature to complement the fine particulate matter removal.
Display has timer on/off scheduler for days of the week. Also has filter monitor status for each filter with estimates of remaining use. Along with led lights that show quick status of each filter.
Remote control offers some functions, works well from within 15 feet or so line of sight.
The filter replacement cost on this unit will vary due to use and environment, but might equal about half the retail cost of the unit over a 5 year period.
I would definitely recommend this for people needing to remove fine particulate matter from their environment. It is easy enough to roll around from place to place if all on one level for anyone. It will really need to be paired to an accurate air quality monitor and/or 2.5PM meter so the effectiveness for a certain space / usage plan can be monitored and adjusted.

Works great! Arrived well packaged, was easy to set up, very intuitive controls. I had it up and running in less than 2 minutes after unboxing without even reading the instructions. The included instructions are well written, and there are many settings for however you might desire to run your purifier. I decided to run mine continuously as a whole house filter since my house is small. I have been amazed by it’s ability of removing strong odors. I cooked Onion rings, fish, bacon, fried eggs, and within an hour or two the smell was completely gone… When I come home from work my house has a nice fresh smell to it, and I even unplugged my plug in freshener, because the purifier was filtering that smell as well, I couldn’t even smell it when I got home unless I got real close to the plug in. I was kind of hoping that it would help me with my allergies, but I still have them unfortunately… and the only thing bad I can think of saying about it is that it’s kind of loud if turned up to any fan speed above 3. I would recommend this to a friend, or anyone else as well.

My wife and I have a long history of buying and using various consumer air filtration systems because my wife has a tracheostomy, she’s on oxygen 24/7, and on a ventilator at night. When this IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier became available to Best Buy’s Tech Insider Network, I quickly reserved one.
We’ve been using our new IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier for about a week now and my wife has already commented several times on the difference it is making for her. After just a few days use, she said it’s like breathing NEW AIR! After 5 days use, we began to notice there was nothing floating in the morning sunbeams anymore. Not a thing! Please bear in mind that we had another brand HEPA air filter running in our home right up until the day the IQAir unit arrived.
Our home has an open floor plan and we positioned the IQAir system off to one side of the open living area. The IQAir HealthPro Plus has 6 fan speeds. Because we’re home most of the time we run it at 3 during the day and bump it up to 5 at bedtime. It moves a lot of air and even with the best engineering, that can’t be done and be completely quiet at the same time. So we do hear it at night, but we’ve always considered our air filter systems to be acceptable white noise. You get used to it. However, the next time we’re not going to be home for a few hours, I plan on rolling the IQAir system into our bedroom and let it run full speed on 6 while we’re gone.
Speaking of rolling…you’ll definitely want to install the roller kit that comes with this unit. You don’t have to install it, but I couldn’t imagine trying to pick this system up and safely carry it to another room. It is a substantial machine and it is not light.
I’m a retired engineer, but I can’t get technical about air filters and air purifiers. I’m not an expert on them. I don’t have the ability to measure particle filtration efficiency and such. But, what I do have is a wife with life-long breathing problems who says for her it’s now like breathing new air! And as a bonus we get to enjoy particle-free sunbeams while having our morning coffee!
I don’t know what else to say except we are very, very pleased with what this system has done for the air in our home in just under one week. It’s actually pretty amazing!

WOW! I have had air purifiers for my allergies of all types and sizes for over 5 decades. This air purifier, the IQAir – HealthPro Plus, claims to have received more top reviews and awards than any other air purifier. I believe this claim has great merit because I am in the height of my environmental allergy season, and even though my home has two other air purifiers and a central system attached to my HVAC unit, I have continued to sneeze throughout the days and nights until I installed this product three days ago. Now, the air is cleaner, lighter, purer, and after running the unit for a brief time, the air is completely void of any odors. Breathing without congestion is much easier in my home now because of the IQAir. I make this statement without a doubt.
The technology for the IQAir – HealthPro Plus air purifier is simple, honest and certified. There are three filters stacked within the unit. Basically, the IQAir HyperHEPA filtration technology, being a dense network of nanofibers, is the filter that effectively traps particles of all sizes including viruses, pet dander, dust mites, etc. This makes a very big difference in this product and the products of its competitors. Where most air cleaners test for the largest 10% of particles, this product is tested and certified to filter 99.5% of all particles down to 0.003 microns, which are the smallest particles that exist.
Swiss designed and engineered, this is one quality piece of equipment that does what it claims and proves it. It’s basically ready to go out of the box. The filters have been installed and only the power cord needs to be plugged into the base of the unit and into a 110v power outlet. Optional, is to attach the four casters to the base before setting the unit upright and this is extremely easy, quick and very useful afterwards because it allows the unit to be moved with much ease.
Controls are also easy to set, and the unit comes with a remote. The menu on the display allows for setting the time of day, language, provides a timer which can be set for certain hours on certain days, a filter reset to help keep track of the use of each filter and its anticipated replacement time, and the fan speed. There is also a panel lock which can be overridden with the remote.
The first and most important thing before you begin to use the air purifier is to determine the best location for the unit. It has a multi–directional air diffuser on top of the unit, so it is best to place it at least one (1) foot from a corner or wall. Considering where to put the unit might be based on the room most used by the family, which might possibly have an outside door or doors where environmental particles might be most common and need to frequently be handled. Also, it is important to know that each of the six speeds coincides with an air exchange rate measured in cfm. For instance, there are six speed and the air exchange rate that coincide to these 6 speeds are 40, 75, 140, 180, 220 and 330 cfms. With a simple calculation which involves knowing the l x w x h of your room and the cfm that corresponds to the speed of the fan that you have set, the air changes per hour can be calculated. For instance, if I have the air purifier set on speed 3 which delivers 140 cfms and my room is 14 x 13 x 9 foot ceilings, then I would take 140 x 60 (the number 60 being a given of the equation) and divide that number by the cubic feet or l x w x h of my room. In this example, that would be (140 x 60) 8400 divided by (14 x 13 x 9) 1638 cubic feet of room which equals 5.13 ACH of Air Changes Per Hour.
The IQAir Health Pro Plus is 28” high x 15” wide x 16” deep. It is energy efficient and as I mentioned above, includes three filters. The PreMax Filter controls coarse and fine particles and has a life expectancy of 18 months when used 10 hours per day on speed 3. The V-5 Cell Filter controls a wide range of chemical contaminants and odors and has an average life of 2-years when the same usage of 10 hours per day on speed 3 is used. The HyperHEPA Filter controls fine and ultra-fine particles. It has an approximate life of four years when used at the same rate of the other two filters.
The unit comes with a 1-year limited warranty, but if the owner registers the product within the first 30 days and uses the air purifier in a residential setting, then the warranty is extended to 10 years. The filters are easily accessible for changing and the whole unit has been designed for function and maximum performance. Some might consider the unit to be a little louder than they wish while running; but with all that it is doing for the air in your environment, your health, and providing a little “white noise” too, I don’t find it loud at all. I am really impressed with this product and have owned whole house air purifiers that never worked this well. I highly recommend it for your health and wellness. It is well worth the investment and deserves SIX Stars.

IQAir HealthPro Plus is a powerful air purifier.
It is also large and heavy. It does come with rollers that you can attach or leave off depending on your personal situation.
I have carpet so the I attached the rollers to help get it around. It was easy to do, no tools required.
The 3 air filters are already installed, so once you’ve decided on the rollers, you can plug it in and it’s ready to go.
The instructions go over the fan levels and how often the air will cycle. This air purifier will cover 1125 sq. ft.
I turned it on, set at level 6 (max) and the air was powerful.
My son and I both suffer with allergies and our home is surrounded with woods so the dust gets in terribly. I damp dust, but it’s just a constant battle and our sinuses and eyes suffer. So my hope is that this will help me with cutting down on suffering. I did a deep vacuum and dusting after starting up the air purifier, rolling it from room to room every couple hours the first day. The next day, I left it in the living room to run and now alternate rooms. I’ve had the unit for a week and can say that my allergies seem to be doing better, even after I mowed, and my son is not sniffling as much. The dust is not gathering back on the furniture as quickly as it was and I feel much better about the air quality we are breathing at home now.

The IQAir Health Pro Plus is a room air purifier. If you’ve ever seen a video where someone fills a sealed room containing a device with smoke then turns on the device and has the smoke disappear, that’s what this does. Those are powerful demonstrations because the air purifier is not a closed system. It sucks air in and blows it out. Only when the air comes out, it has been cleaned. These are particularly useful for me because while we make an effort to regularly change the aircon/furnace air filter, it still isn’t perfect and we regularly open windows to let in fresh air. With fresh air comes fresh allergens and due to coming in windows (or doors as we go in and out), it bypasses the normal filters.
This Pro Plus is not a small device. About one foot in length and width and about 2 feet tall. You’re not going to be able to sit this on a shelf and it is hefty in weight. Luckily, it rolls on casters which would be good for hardwood floors or low pile carpet but not as nice or easy to move on the more plush stuff one might have in a bedroom (like I do). Though given its size and weight, I have no plans on moving it around (especially since my master is on one floor and other bedrooms up stairs). Once placed, that’s where it will live. It plugs into a standard 120V outlet, so nothing special required on that end. As it’s job is to take in air and vent the fresh, cleaned air into a room, you don’t need to position it to vent out a window. However, as it is sucking in air, you’d want to position it so that it’s not neccessarily tucked into an isolated corner so that makes deciding where to place it a bit tricky when you are introducing this to a new room. I ended up shifting my decorative file cabinet for it though I started to get the sense that a room that is normally more open, like the living room or den might be better suited to the design.
Usage is simple. Plug it in and press the power button. There’s four buttons (power, arrow, menu, enter) with a two line display on the panel as well as a remote. The remote has more buttons, mainly giving you a shortcut to setting speed and turning on the timer. Initially, we used it with the remote, turning on the unit on 4 as we’re settling in for the night and off again in the morning. Digging more into the manual, you can program the time and day on the unit (using those four buttons) and then set timer to run at specific times. Due to young kids, sleep schedules can vary but I can see this being useful for a a different room or more settled home where one’s schedule is more predictable.
The product makes a couple claims which aside from it’s ability to cover 1125 sqft rooms are its biggest selling points. One, that it is has 3X the efficiency of ordinary HEPA filters. Two, that it is quieter. I don’t have a scientific way to test the first claim though I can report that it does the job of removing allergens and fine dust from the air. It certainly does a better job than a smaller shelf mounted unit we’ve used previously though that could simply be due to it’s much larger size and not the filter design. In fact, the filter claim is a bit misleading as many of the higher end air purifiers also use an improved version of the standard HEPA filter, or at least make similar claims of performance relative to HEPA. Having not owned a previous version of this purifier, I don’t know how much quieter it is but other than the lowest two, maybe three fan settings, this is not quiet. In a bedroom, at 4 or above, you definitely know its running. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – my partner regularly sleeps with the aid of a noise machine so having background noise is normal in my household, but for others it could be a problem. Though, if you’re running for 8-10 hours continuously each night, the lower fan speeds are likely sufficient. I can imagine you’d want the speed set higher in a larger room that strains the capacity rating but with more space comes with more room to diffuse sound. Still, at the high speeds, it would be in direct competition to a TV where you’d either need to increase volume beyond your normal comfortable listening level or drop the speed while watching a show.
In conclusion, it does its job well though would work best in larger rooms. With something closer a 200 sqft bedroom, your noise sensitivity becomes a factor. I would make this selection when initially buying furnishings for a room if introducing to a bedroom or a smaller space as a good location for placement becomes harder to manage. If this was a bit more decorative where it could do double duty as an end table, that would help. But it’s all air purifier and so needs space reserved exclusively.

Out of the box this air purifier was easy to set up. Just a couple of simple steps and it’s running. It comes with a certificate verifying its efficiency. It’s nice to know that every air purifier is individually tested. For example, they advertise 99.97% efficiency. However, mine tested at 99.99% efficiency.
It is best to have it in the room that is most often occupied (living room or bedroom) to get the most benefits from it. I decided to place it in our dining room. This covers our dining room, kitchen and living room quite well. I have mine set on fan speed 4. At the lower speeds it is very quiet. At speeds 4 and above I can hear it running, but it is still quiet and not a nuisance.
On the display, the fan speeds also show you the airflow rate in cubic feet per minute (cfm). With your room dimensions, you can calculate the amount of air changes per hour. (The formula is in the manual) Ideally, you are looking for at least two. The screen also shows remaining life on the filters and the timer functions. You can set it to only run on certain days for certain amounts of time if you wish. However, after reading more about it, it is perfectly fine to run it continuously. It also comes with a remote, which is alright, but I don’t really see much point to it. With the remote you can turn it on and off, set the fan speed between 1-6 and turn the timer on and off. This isn’t something that you’re going to be constantly adjusting. It’s more of a set it and forget it thing, so it’s not really necessary.
Although I just got it, I did take it apart to inspect it and see how easy filter replacement will be. When the time comes, filter replacement will be very easy. It simply snaps apart and each different level is a different filter. You just take it out and place the new one in.
As far as the actual function, after two days of it running continuously, I came home from work and noticed a dramatic improvement in the air quality. As soon as I opened the door I could smell the clean air. Having four people, a dog and a cat, this air purifier definitely helps to improve what we are breathing. A lot of studies have shown that indoor air quality is often far worse than outdoor air quality. You spend a great deal of time at home, you shouldn’t have to worry about the air that you breathe. While it is pricey, anything that can help improve the air quality that you breathe is worth it.
I definitely recommend it, especially if you have allergies, breathing issues or pets.

Aesthetics: white tower with optional casters that attach via rails on the bottom of the unit. The controls are on the top face of the unit, with an easy to read screen. Looks like what you’d expect from a standalone A/C unit or such, no frills
Functions: 6 fan speeds from 40-300 cfm, which you adjust with a single button. The “up” arrow will increase the fan speed in increments up to 6, then cycle back to 1 if you continue pressing the button. Provided remote control lets you control the unit without having to walk across the room, which is nice.
Capability: Unable to formally measure the particles in the air, but subjectively, I have noticed less sneezing and less sniffling with the unit on. The sound is also pretty quiet at the lower levels (~up to level 3). At the highest fan speed of 6, which is 300 cfm, it is louder than our white noise machine for the baby room, but that’s a necessary evil in order to pump enough airflow to cycle that amount of air.
Ease of use: a big factor that kept me from getting an air purifier before this was that the filters tended to be pretty difficult to access or replace. Or, like a humidifier, you had to replace the filters so frequently it just wasn’t cost effective. The IQAir actually uses a slide-out tray design which makes accessing and checking the filters a breeze. Haven’t had the purifier nearly long enough to test the max life of the filters yet
Summary: very happy with this purifier, and the thoughtfulness of the design becomes very apparent with use. A built-in handle, removable casters for movement, and slide-out trays for each filter. Fantastic

I think just about everyone really needs an air purifier but not many people have them because of the confusion and/or price involved in obtaining one. While the HealthPro Plus is not cheap it’s a unit that works extremely well and covers a very large area in regards to cleaning. As an owner of two cats and two small dogs we have been on the lookout for an air purifier for a while now and the HealthPro Plus seemed to fit the bill. Receiving the unit is a little intimidating at first as the box is huge but once you get it out of the box assembly consists of just a few minutes of snapping two slender plastic parts and then inserting the wheels until they snap into place. The manual doesn’t really mention the part about the wheels, just saying to put them on and at first when I did that they kept coming off. I put the unit back upside down and pushed down on the wheels though and they did snap into place and never came off after that.
The filters all are in the unit so really aside from the wheels (if you choose to use them, they are optional) you only really have to “install” a power cord, which is akin to plugging a cord into a hole, very simple. Once that is done you can use the unit although, at some point, you will want to program the date and time as well for the sake of being able to set the timer and schedule the unit to run if you so desire. This is all done very easy and intuitively.
Now there are a couple of cons of this unit. First, the biggest is there really is no way for you to measure the quality of the air with this unit and it does not seem to measure the air quality at all on its own to throttle back the settings, you must do this manually. I emailed support and never heard back. I also tried calling them during the morning hours but they are on strange hours due to the fact I believe they are out of Europe. The fact that you spend so much money on an air purifier that does not measure the air pollution at all is a bit strange, I suppose though if you can afford $899 for a purifier what is another $100 for an air measurement device though eh? The last con is the display of the unit is not backlit which means adjusting it in the dark is not going to really work, you will need a light. This is more of a minor quibble than a real complaint though but it should be noted if you plan to be using this a lot in the dark.
Now, the bottom line is this: how does it work? Well it works fantastic. Running on 6 (the max) it will purify a room (as far as I can tell anyways using my nose) in a very short amount of time. 6 is pretty loud though and 5 is also loud. Once you hit 4 it becomes like a small fan and go to 3 and it’s barely noticeable. 1 and 2 is so low I can’t even hear the unit running unless I really strain to hear it. My wife has been coughing very little and my allergy attacks (sneezing) have pretty much went completely away whenever the unit has cleaned the air so in that sense it’s really doing well at it’s job! The fact that this thing is on wheels is nice as it makes wheeling it around to various parts of the house to purify the air very simple.
This thing has done an amazing job of cleaning up the air in our very, very large house and has removed all odors of any sort, pet or otherwise. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a very sturdy, workhorse of a unit that is going to be a beast at cleaning your air. Just be aware you probably are going to want to buy an air quality measurement device as well (which currently go for about $100-150) if you want to absolutely measure the air instead of just going by what you sense it to be. The fact that it looks like a small copy machine absolutely works in its favor as it’s very unintrusive besides any sound that may be emanating from it depending upon the setting. RECOMMENDED.

IQAir HealthPro Plus really clears the air in my 1280 size basement in a little over 2 hours at high speed fan. It comes with a convenient remote control and detachable wheels. It also comes ready to go, no assembly required… well other than attaching the wheels. The fan is really powerful and quiet at low level settings.
While it won’t win awards for design, it definitely does a fine job at removing the bad odors of my basement. The reasons for the 4 stars are the loud fan at high speeds and the way to change filters. It comes with 5 carbon filters that do a great job at removing but to access them and the HEPA filter is tricky via the brackets that hold the control panel.
Despite that I will get another for my mom’s place.

This air purifier is rather large, but that is a good thing! It can cover 1125 square feet, and I’ve found it has made a difference for me.
As a person that suffers from seasonal allergies, this year has been particularly bad. I’ve been using a basic air filter which has seemed to help a bit, but the IQAir has made a large difference. I tend to notice allergies later in the day, and can tell there is a reduction when the unit is running. It is nice that it has a remote and is also programmable.
It is also very quite, adding a faint white noise which is rather pleasing to me.

This item should be my best purchase before the pandemic. Turns out everybody needs a home air purifier when the pandemic happened. This item was sold out . This performs so well to our home. Dissolved odor after you cooked for a meal.

My wife bought this after growing concern for asbestos particles in the air of our home after I began a remodel in a room that had old vinyl tiles in it. Not only does this purifier offer hospital grade air filtration, but it makes the air in you home feel clean and fresh to breathe. We run it daily now and with six speeds, you really can’t tell its even running most of the time.
Pricey but worth it.

I’ve had this over a month now and it has been working flawlessly. I keep it in the bedroom and have noticed I wake up in the mornings with less sinus congestion.

WOW, is all I can say. I know this is EXPENSIVE, but there’s a reason for this expense. I can’t say enough about this product. I’ve had this for almost a year and I’ve only had to replace the prefilter once, a little pricey, but I run it A LOT and on its highest speed. I know this is a lot of money (and it was a splurge for me) but IT IS WORTH THE PRICE!!

Quiet on lower speeds. Works great in my larger, older home. Love it.

It does everything it is supposed to do. My wife has allergies and already notices the difference.

I have used my i qair for more than 12years. Made in Germany . Defently worth the price.

Works very well. Especially when there’s a fire near by. Also very easyto change the filters. And very quiet too..

I purchased this because I have a studio with over 700 diff vinyls stocked that off-put lots of of pollutants– having something to clean that air and make sure we have a safe environment to exist in is pretty important.

A little pricey- BUT, we can all tell the difference. Oir entire house suffers with sinus issues and seasonal allergens- our sinus issues and headaces have all been reduced sine using this! We also love that its in wheels and can be moved from one area of the home to the other quute easily. On level 3 or 4 we can still watch tv without to much noise. Highest level 6, is a bit louder so we generally use that when we are not home.

Got it a while back and after using it for a few months the air in my living room is noticeably better.
