Great Device for linking Jetpack (Mobile Data to Wi-Fi) to a wired device or network. It remembers Wi-Fi login

bought this to run an ethernet connection to my TV and then discovered it was wireless! anyway, stronger, faster more secure connection resulted.

Works as advertised, I used the express setup and took something like a minute (honest) – then plugged it into the Ethernet port and away it went – needed it for an older PC that does not have Wi-Fi built in

Huge problem solved with this device. Our solar panel controller needed internet connectivity after the last home owner chopped off the ends of the Ethernet cable. I purchased this WiFi device to plug into the controller and give it internet access. Easy to use and setup. You may need to use power if the device you’re trying to connect over WiFi doesn’t provide power over the USB ports.

Great product as a good price. Works as advertised and easy to set up.

3-star rating since setup was not straight forward and I had to occasionally re-sync it.
Setup: the directions are easy to follow, but the device did not connect as described. While the IOGEAR was connected via ethernet to my laptop, I had to turn my laptop wi-fi ON for the IOGEAR to successfully connected to my wi-fi network.
Re-sync: my IOGEAR is connected to an HDFury that is accessible via a web UI, but the IOGEAR would lose wireless connection when certain commands are issued to the HDFury. An IOGEAR or HDFury reboot does not restore wireless connection. To restore connection, I had to re-connect the IOGEAR via ethernet to my laptop and “re-sync” the IOGEAR.
Due to the intermittent wi-fi connection with the HDFury, I no longer use the IOGEAR; I now use an ethernet connection to an Orbi wi-fi satellite – no connection issues.

This does not seem to do what I needed it to do. Disappointed.

I purchased this to connect to a mini computer that I had running a program that had to be in my basement. This worked great, as the computer only had a wired internet port.
No issues setting this up via WPS, or any reliability issues while running the device so far.
I would highly recommend this device for anyone that needs to get a wireless connection to a wired-only device.

The device did not connect out of the box to my Google Nest mesh Wi-Fi but after downloading the firmware update and installing the firmware, the device connected without me having to change any settings on it from the settings I entered on the initial log in and set up. After the firmware updated the device rebooted, so I do not know whether it was the firmware update or the reboot, or both, that allowed the device to work. For other Google Nest mesh users, you will choose the AES option for the encryption settings.

Works as advertised. But if your home network is on a different IP Pool than the adapter, there’s some work to even talk to it’s GUI. The adapter is on pool 192.168.1.XXC. My network is on 192.168.0.XXX. My network couldn’t see the adapter. I uséd the PC setup, then accessed the GUI and changed the adapter to my pool. 192.168.0.XXX. After this the WPS setup option worked fine.
