Good buy during sale for only $360 with taxes. Not the latest but still a steal with this kind of price. The PC running max at 5.74 GHz and average of 4.78 GHz using Intel auto boost.

  19. JasperA

this version of the i9 is really good. it’s almost like you’re going to buy a car, then turns out you have a jet engine built into the car. played starfield and it was running laps around my 3060 like there was no problem.

  20. DanTheMAN

This think put in incredible work. I can preform multiple tasks on two different moniters and this processor dosent go over 40% use. Its awesome.

  21. Joey

He was upgrading from a i7-9400f to this processor. His temps stayed maxed out. He said the processor made a world of difference. Max rates, perfect temps, and processing intense fames at between 55 & 60%. The processor is definitely worth it.

  22. Gb1konobi

This processor is my first i9 and i really love its performance. Just make sure you have a good cpu cooler cause this thing runs super hot.

  23. James

This processor handles everything I throw at it with ease

  24. Unicorn

Still a really good CPU up until this day! For the normal user, keeping it at stock speed is more than enough. If you overclock it slightly, you will feel even better performance. This build is mainly intended for Video Editing and occasional gaming.

  25. Joseph

My motherboard got fired, So i decidedto upgrade from an I7 to an I9 and it is well worth the upgrade not only as a student but an avid gamer

  26. DeannaF

The performace is exactly what I thought it would be.

  27. VladyslavA

Awesome CPU, completes anything that must be done right on time, able to handle any games for 140fps+

  28. JordanC

Absolutely love this CPU. It handles everything I throw at it with ease. They have a tendency to run on the hotter side, so I’d recommend getting a kraken x63 280 rad to cool it. Phenomenal combo. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in purchasing a new CPU. This thing is an absolute monster.

  29. EvanV

I play a lot of games this processor runs amazing. High recommended no problems at all.

  30. Sergio

My experience with the Intel Core i9 12900K has been great, is a very capable cpu and I havent had any problems with it. I have been overclocking it on Cinebench. With a stock Corsair Aio I managed to almost match an AMD thread Ripper.

  31. olga

This processor is lightning fast and handles multiple applications with ease. As someone who enjoys playing games on their computer, I’ve been particularly impressed with the seamless gaming experience that this processor provides.

  32. XanderLawless

it is a very good product for this price and service was good in store

  33. Drew2262

Great CPU for the money, it is very power efficient and does not throw a lot of heat compared to the 11900k chips.

  34. Nickle1414

I bought this processor as a last second purchase decision and its one of the best decisions I have ever made. My rig has never let me down since I installed this!. I highly recommend this for anyone.

  35. ChristopherM

Such an excellent cpu! Used in my new pc build! Paired with a 3090ti and asus gaming wifi 6 MB with ddr5. Does anything and everything great!!

  36. MurtB

It was nice, CPU works well with a good cooler and runs the games I want. Plus I am doing this for a chance for a $400 gift card.

  37. JorgeM

Amazing processor fast and works cold even under heavy demand.

  38. Haishan

This CPU has 24 threads and 16 cores (8E cores and 8P cores) which really makes difference when dealing with 3d graphics and to prevent bottleneck issues

Doesn’t cause a CPU and GPU bottleneck as I only get about 45% GPU usage and stay under 10% load in most AAA titles like Destiny or Call of Duty.

    CinebenchR23 Benchmarks

Using CINEBENCH R23 I got a score of 27552 which is roughly 70 % of top performing CPU score of 43640.

    Using Geek Bench 6 test

I got a Single core score of 2601 which is roughly 83 % of top performing CPU score of 3097 And a multi-core score of 12821 which is roughly 56 % of top performing CPU score of 21742

  39. Jerry

Great processor. This processor was a big step up from the 9900k. It’s able to handle any workload I throw at it.

  40. BenjaminB

I have not opened, and am in the process of returning, I can’t walk good, and do not drive, and I dropped it off in plenty of time for it to get back to Best Buy, but the UPS guy didn’t pick it up the last time he went there and I called today, and they have no knowledge of my package, and I don’t see anywhere that UPS actually picked it up.

  41. PhilD

Upgraded from a 8700k i7 and the performance is amazing streaming while gaming is great!!

  42. AustinB

Works perfectly in my pc and sky rocketed the strength of my pc.

  43. THadrich

Works great and easy to install, i built my own computer and have had no problems.

  44. ChaseA

Best decision ever! I’ve installed over a year ago and had no problems.

  45. BrunoC

First I9 i have, I feel the speed ehen the PC starts up. All tasks carried out so far without leaving much waiting time for task transitions. But all this with help of others components, it’s a shame not to be able to take advantage of more potential due to the memories.

  46. HaishanH

This is the fastest gaming processor you can get right now, just make sure your cooler is compatible with the new LGA 1700 socket. Most cooler manufacturers are sending out free upgrade kits for existing customers, some others like EVGA make you purchase the new LGA 1700 mounting kit. Temps under gaming load are very manageable even with a cheap 240mm liquid cooler. At stock settings I am getting 75C with Cinebench R23 avx multithreaded load. Gaming temps are much lower, around 50-55C. The price is pretty steep, 12700K might be a better option if you want to save couple hundred dollars and spend it on other parts.

I recently upgraded my PC with the Intel Core i9-12900K processor, and it has been nothing short of a game-changer. The performance leap from my previous CPU is astounding. The i9-12900K handles multitasking with remarkable ease, and the speed is noticeable in everything from everyday tasks to more demanding applications.

One of the standout features of this processor is its hybrid architecture. The combination of Performance-cores (P-cores) and Efficient-cores (E-cores) is a brilliant innovation. It not only boosts processing speed for heavy-duty tasks but also optimizes power efficiency for lighter workloads. This adaptability is perfect for my varied use, which includes gaming, video editing, and software development.

Speaking of gaming, the i9-12900K delivers an exceptional experience. Paired with a high-end graphics card, this processor allows games to run at high frame rates with stunning graphics settings. The CPU handles resource-intensive titles with ease, ensuring a smooth and immersive gaming session.

  48. BlancaM

I recently got my hands on the Intel Core i9-12900K Desktop Processor, and I have to say, I am blown away by its performance. This processor is an absolute powerhouse, with 16 cores (8P+8E) and speeds of up to 5.2 GHz. It’s also unlocked, which means I can push its limits even further if I want to.

Installing the processor was easy enough, although I did have to make sure my motherboard was compatible with the LGA1700 socket and 600 series chipset. Once I had everything set up, I fired up my favorite games and applications to see how the processor would perform.

The results were nothing short of impressive. The i9-12900K chewed through every task I threw at it with ease, from demanding video editing software to the latest AAA games. I was able to multitask without any lag or slowdowns, and my system felt incredibly responsive and snappy.

The processor also runs surprisingly cool, even under heavy load. I did notice a slight increase in power consumption compared to my old processor, but it’s a small price to pay for the sheer performance boost.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Intel Core i9-12900K Desktop Processor. If you’re a power user or a gamer who demands the best performance, this processor is definitely worth considering. It’s not cheap, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny for the sheer power and speed it delivers.

  49. EnriqueT

Best cpu on the market, doesn’t get hot. Running it with a asus z790 formula mobo. I always go intel with my builds, this is the ram for you if you want to maxmize the graphics in your build.
