It’s an Intel processor, what else do I need to say?
Cwcw –
Coming from an old Xeon 1240v2, this thing is a monster. 8c 16t performance. However, I strongly recommend you upgrade the cooler. OEM one is small and can get loud under load.
Kvatch –
Upgraded from a 10400, and for the price I paid for this, it would have been silly to not buy it. Great cpu if you’re upgrading from an older i5/i3.
Syph –
Coming from a 10100, you can really feel the difference in performance in the chip, its basically night and day. I honestly cant find a reason to choose the K series version of this model.
ErikR –
Processor works as expected. Shipping using usps was a disaster but it at least showed up eventually. 11th sereies processors have issues with some 400 series boards as it turns out so read up on your documentation if the pcie 4.0 will work mine doesn’t.
etp7 –
On clearance. What a perfect deal for my new MOBO from BB.
Brian –
Works great super fast my son loves it we would recommend
RobinA –
Doing exactly what I wanted but the price is way too steep when there are better processors out there
Perfection –
nice cpu does what it should without heating my room.
Critycal –
Great price as this cpu is exactly like the k unlocked series, works really good, highly recommend
JohnB –
Pros- Very fast. Upgraded from a 10th gen processor on a B560 motherboard. Installation was easy.
Cons- Runs hot, idles at over 50°C on H100i AIO cooler w/o fans running. Stock cooler may need to be upgraded for CPU intensive applications.
Yeager –
ended up returning good cpu stock cooler sucked so I had to lock it to 65w. Went with a ryzen build instead.
VrEnthusiastD –
Works well in my vr rig. Needed a low wattage and tdp part for my mini itx vr rig and this fit the bill nicely. Performance is as expected and turbos nicely.

I purchased this CPU to upgrade an existing system with a 10700. For some workloads, this CPU has a 13% uplift over the old one. There are several compatibility issues though.
11th gen was a new core design and has some features removed. It no longer supports the memory enclave features that 10th gen has, and that is not secure anymore anyway. It also has some compatibility issues with vmware esxi 8.x. I am using this for a homelab virtualization box and this forced me to format and change my host OS.
This chip also seems to be unreliable with XMP profiles enabled in the bios. I’ve tried 3 brands of RAM in it. No dice even though they’re listed on the motherboard compatibility list. (using with asus tuf mb)
I also own a 11900k and it’s been awesome as a linux desktop chip. It doesn’t have issues with XMP. (different asus motherboard)
Finally, watch out for motherboard compatibility. Check beforehand. I had to purchase a new motherboard.
As far as performance goes, this chip is pretty fast at compiling software.

Great cpu. Check to make sure the size fits your motherboard. I’ve noticed that only processors that end in the letter F fit a RENO2 motherboard.

Working perfectly for my low-power consumption Proxmox home security appliance. Its too bad this is the last Intel processor I’m going to be able to buy. All the new ones have inconsistent cores and thus nearly useless for home virtualization. I sure can’t afford Xeons for home use!
Roland –
Its a good processor. Haven’t had any issues since uses it on my PC build
Vian –
The cooler it came with was annoying but otherwise it was a good purchase
BCUnited –
Wanted to build some lower spec pcs and had some LGA 1200 mobos lying around. I am surprised that the price on 11th gen hasnt come down more. If you are going to spend the build, its better to go with 12th or 13th gen at this point, which I would have if not for my excess computer parts.
Teddy –
Works amazing easy install great cpu for the price
BaLue –
Is what i needed and wanted. No issues. Works great
TrishanC –
It works amazingly I highly recommend this item if you’re a big PC gamer
Txcwboy64 –
Definitely an upgrade from 10th gen i3 when you have correct motherboard 😉 I didnt but got the right one. Pretty quick now.
Petrus –
Despite being an i7, this chip runs hot.
My i5 11400 performs better for games like age of empires and the conquerors.
Comes with a basic cooler.
I only recommend this chip to someone that really wants to have an intel CPU.
Also the integrated graphics are basic. If you are thinking to do multitasking, this is a good choice.
ScottyS –
Easy to install and works perfect for gaming on a buget
Eddd –
Product does the job. great item. would definitely buy it again
user585977 –

kimm –

its good in multitasking too
SebastianM –
Very good performance of this chip, good temperature.
Shaffdawg –
my pc broke but I bought new parts and this happened to be one of them. works good, no complaints
Garry –
Great cpu for a budget gaming build in suppoted 1200 board
AlejandroV –
It was very easy to mount, as all intel CPUs, it came with a stock cooler and it had a bit of thermal paste already on it, the CPUs performance is just perfect with my 3060 8gb but i had to get a new cooler (got an AiO Corsair Elite H60) because it was getting around 60 idle and 90+ in any game. The mobo even turned on a red led saying that the temperature was too high. I have a Corsair Airflow 4000X and even without the side panel it was getting hot af with the stock cooler. If you’re planning on getting it for CPUs intensive tasks i highly recommend to buy an extra cooler.
DonovanI –
Runs well with my 3080ti, make sure to invest in liquid cooling though.
Tony –
Got at a great price runs all my games so far so good
Grim –
Runs all games smoothly with no lag if paired with a decent GPU and great frame rates!
Anonymous –

Used this to build my nieces pc and it is unbeatable for its price point.
Donny –
Since having the processor in my pc I’ve had a great experience
BangnerS –
Pretty good after all, no problems and good for gaming
MalvynB –
I upgraded my old CPU to this, and it is a godsend! I’m glad I was able to purchase it on sale! It definitely enhanced my photography and videography workspace! Excellent with gaming as well!
Again, I would hesitate to buy it at the total price, but it was definitely worth it on sale!
Jason –
Perfect! PC runs smooth and fast again! Came at a great price.
JuanP –
It came in nice quality no marks. It runs really good.
Mark –
Using CPU on my UnRaid server and it works like a charm. I use the intel integrated graphics for plex transcoding and I love it.
Haishan –
I just taught a 15 yr. old grandson how to build, and maintain his own computer. I chose a new MSI Z590-A motherboard, 32 gig of high speed gaming RAM, (DDR4 3200) and topped it off with this new 11th gen processor. Fired right up when he hit the switch! Grandson is proud of his work!
I do recommend using the built-in graphics (UHD 750) in lieu of a stand alone Nvidia RTX card, due to availability, and a steep price point! Good cards are unavailable right now due to the worldwide chip shortage, which makes the price of RTX cards waaay too high. Wait till the costs come down.
