    This product is what I needed to connect an older monitor to my laptop computer.

    If you are needing a second display and are on a budget this works very well. I would not use if for gaming but basic computer functions works very well.

    Make sure you plug this into a USB 3 port most others will not work due to the bandwidth. But it works well when used right.

    The adapter works as advertised- the cord could be a bit longer and that would be nice but so far no issues. I used to it connect a monitor and laptop without using a hub and this allowed me to be successful.

    This product was a life saver. It works fantastic. Clean, simple and gives a clear picture plus it hooked up to my Mac book pro so I could use an old projector. This is the best bang for the buck.

    Good quality device, as I have come to expect from Insignia. I’ve basically never had a problem with their products, and this is a good example of why. It does exactly what it says with no issues, which is much more rare than it should be.

    Worked good for a PC that only had DPs with the monitor only having VGA. Allowed us to keep using the same montior that had a privacy overlay already precut

    I have an older Panasonic projector that has a VGA connection. I wanted to be able to attach it to my PC to this. This adapter works great and I had no problems setting it up. Even better, Best Buy had an open box item available, so I got a great price on it as well.

    3rd monitor plug and play. Windows put the driver right in and it was done, now i can watch 2 different radars and a satellite view all at the same time .

    Again, BestBuy has what I meed when in a bind! I use Apple products exclusively but sometimes other PC products do mot “play well” with them. Needed this to connect my hubby’s PC to a video system for a church AV system. This was for my father-in-law’s funeral so it was vital & time-sensitive. Worked great! Searched a couple other options (Target, Staples) for this & BB was, the BEST!

    Tried to use on new laptop and since Insignia is absorbed by Best Buy you no longer have offer drivers for this item. Insignia’s website is shut down and re-routed to Best Buy. This is not plug & play! Chat was worthless and a waste of time. I will never buy anything from Best Buy again because you lie about standing by your products according to your CEO’s statement mission, and your products are too expensive.

    Allowed me to connect a friend’s projector to my MacBook Air (using a dongle, of course). Worked great. Why don’t the tech companies standardize connectors? Well, that would eliminate the need to sell you more stuff (that eventually gets thrown away. How’s that for being “green”)

    Great product for my 2012 MacBook Air that could only extend to one external monitor through the ThunderBolt displayport connection. This adapter now gives me the ability to connect 2 external monitors, which I love! Great product and price!!
