Why should you need to plug in an electrical device to operate…? This device was open box with tape on it but I didn’t pay attention to that until I came home…
SaturdayCrush –
Does what it needs to do, it doesn’t drop quality either.
Graig –
Bought it for a female-to-male connector, but didn’t realize it was an amplifier. Seems to do a good job.
Billy –
Very easy to use and works well! Great value for the price.
NOTanITguy –
it was easy to use but did not work well, followed the directions but still no workie
Dwjen –
Allows hdmi information to be watched on a second monitor
djsda –
Worked as expected, didnt realize there was a power cord needed/included for this adaptor though. Another power slot taken 🙁
aztomo –
Perfect for connecting two HMDI cables together without degrading the signal. Works great when the input/output is installed properly.

brian –
works great plug and play used it to run a montor in house

This is the top of the line when you talk about hdmi cable repeaters. This was purchased to make a run of over 50′ that the computer couldn’t handle. This did the trick easily.

This little gem solved the only problem I had with a new TV. The TV would not recognize the signal from my satellite box, even though other devises worked on the same port and the satellite box worked on other TVs. The repeater boosted the signal enough so that everything works fine.
PastorAnthony –
Very useful to connect two HDMI cables to extend the overall length.
Brent –
This little device was able to fix black screen issues on my Samsung tv while playing Nintendo Switch. I’m assuming this device made the signal stronger from the Switch and solved the issue.
RT75 –
It did what it was supposed to do but didn’t solve my problem.
Kimaanja –
Piece of junk. Way over priced. Multiple plugs to put in, returned it

Works great! Easy to use while traveling. Great for quickly connecting a laptop or streaming Media device where you need extra cable length or just need to connect two male hdmi ends. Does exactly what is says it does. No more no less.
Chuck –
So far it has helped with keeping the feed to the TV that we needed.

BLUF: Recommend, with limitations.
I am using this with a 50′ cable connected from a high end gaming PC to an OLED77CXPUA that was not working for 4k at all and only worked at 1080/30hz. This device works great at 1080 120hz. However, I bought it for 4k and HDR. At 4k, it only supports 30hz. HDR gives a garbled display and is unusable. As it stands, it is suitable until I can get around to getting an optical HDMI and running it through the attic. However, if you are planning on using this for 4k or HDR I would look at other options.

While this booster did slightly improve the signal, i still had frequent loss of signal. This item was used between a (PC) GTX 1070 AND a onyko receiver with a 25′ hdmi and a 6′ hdmi. Would not recommend.
Mtschedule –
HDMIN, HDMI out. Works exactly how I was expecting it to. Schwiiiiiing!
Matt –
I was running hdmi cords around the room, and they got too long for my cable box to transmit without cutting out every 5 seconds. This fixed that issue
Jordiggity –
Used for coupling together (2) HDMI cords. It works but the audio is sometimes a little goofy.

I needed a 45′ EARC due to my AVR being split between a projector and TV. I tried a 30′ 8k cable to a hdmi repeater to a 15′ 8k cable. I was able to get 4k 120hz from my Xbox 45′ away and also 4k 60hz Dolby Vision to the TV; BUT no EARC from the Sony TV back the other way to the AVR. The HDMI repeater works without any flicker. I found a 50′ Monoprice for about the same price of the 3 pieces i had that SOLVED my EARC obstacle. As a result i returned all 3 pieces for one 50′ Monoprice cable.

Had an issue with a long run. Not anymore! Signal has not dropped since installed.

This works awesome. Needed to get this for my 50 ft hdmi cable.

Great product at great price!!!! Thanks Best Buy!!!!
EricP1981 –
Repeater did not do enough to boost signal and actaully slowed the speed conpared ti cables of today.
SpecOps –
Terrible. Doesn’t work at all. Definitely doesn’t work with a 4K signal
TechnoCritic –
The Insignia™ – HDMI Cable Repeater with 4K and HDR Support works great. Before installing, I was unable to watch Blu-ray videos over a 50′ HDMI cable. After installing, the videos worked great! I like this product!
Locks –
this device was easy to use. literally just plug the two cable together
SteveO –
If you’re an I.T. guy that has to work with conference rooms and video… this jewel is a must have! I can’t tell you how many times this little device bumped the signal enough to make the HDMI runs work.
Kent –
Works great! I have a short, 6′ cable coming from the computer, then going into this repeater, then into a 50′ HDMI cable run, then into a powered splitter, and then into two short 12′ parallel lines to separate monitors. That last short 6′ run on the sending end was too much for the signal and neither monitor worked, but adding this repeater solved the problem!
DoomGuy –
It’s a bit bulky but what I need to get my mClassic to function properly with my Samsung TV
Dex2er –
Works out great great great great great really great
DavidK –
worked connecting a 4 foot HDMI from a laptop to a 15 foot HDMI cable to a big TV without the included AC adaptor. It was in a courtroom setting to show an exhibit to a judge.
RedditDad –
This repeater solved my issue with the video signal cutting out intermittently. I have a long run from my projector to my receiver and every cable I tried was still producing the same issue. Once I connected this repeater we’ve not had a signal cut out again. Highly recommended for anyone who has signal issues!
Thomas –
worked very well. it was cheaper than buying another HDMI cable when we were able to use the extension.
Notloc –
Has worked perfectly I’m buying some for my brother now!
