Easy to set up. Prints vey well. Easy to use. Only issue appears to the inability to be adjust paper tray to 8 1/2” x 11”. That size paper does not stay in place. If there is a way it’s not well documented.

The printer works fine with the HP app which you can download from the App Store. My previous printer was an HP 8600 Office Jet Pro which I love and still use with my Apple devices, but HP no longer supports it. The piece the paper shoots out to is too short.
The printer does not hold as much paper as the previous one.

This is an excellent printer, but remember if you’re running Windows 7, it requires Windows 7 SP1 (Service Pack 1). Installing Service Pack 1 can open a whole can of worms in your computer. I took mine back and exchanged it for an Epson that works with regular Windows 7.

The setup was difficult- it had something wrong with the sensor for the print head. It took a lot of trouble shooting to finally blow it out with compressed air. It prints quickly and beautifully. Haven’t yet tried scanning photos, but based on quality printing, anticipate it will do that very well.

The dual scanner doesn’t work as advertised. I made multiple calls to HP and downloads and still didn’t fix my issue. At first, it would not load the dual side, then after downloading a new driver, it would consistently be jammed.

Unknown to me and probably everyone else who buys this printer, you will not be able to use any third party ink cartridges in it. Software updates that are done automatically will disable the printer if the cartridges are not genuine HP brand cartridges. I just found that out the hard way. There is currently a consumer class action lawsuit about this against HP. BE WARNED!! You’ll be spending 3 times as much on ink!

I do quite a bit more scanning than printing a scanner which does two-sided scanning and two-sided printing is better than any scanner you can buy for twice the price. the printer part is expensive due to. When you use those little cartridges still This is the best unit I’ve had in years and years and years and I’ve had everything from the Xerox top of the food chain $30,000 printer scanner for everything in between HP seems to consistently have the best value for what you get along with quality. The print quality is great the other printer I have is HP that uses the big toner things but the scanner is nowhere near as fast so the extra cost is probably worth it for the amount of limited printing. I do today, but I save the other one in case I need a big job, but this is the best as to size and production I’ve ever seen I’ve had Canon I’ve had Epson for the same format, sort of thing and this is far superior as well. I highly recommend this printer and it’s small enough to throw in the trunk if you need to take it with you somewhere wish I could give it more stars than five. Fact, I actually purchased two

I got a very good deal at Best Buy and got credit for recycling the old printer. It works well but feels and sounds cheaper than the 15 year old HP 8600. The cartridges are smaller, and the insistence on keeping the printer online makes me uncomfortable.

Did not function right out of the box. Best Buy refused to exchange or refund printer. DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY!!! Unboxed printer and could not complete set up. Printer would not recognize the ink cartridges supplied with the printer.

It was a pretty nice printer for a few months, but recently, it won’t allow us to print anymore because of a HP software issue. Every time now when we initiate a printing job, the printer denies the job and directs us to check our HP account online. When I go to check it, there’s no notifications and everything seems normal. From what I found on online forums, it seems to be connected somehow to an Instant Ink membership, which seems to be required in order to use the printer. This is so deceptive and frustrating. I’d recommend to others to find another printer.
