When the printer works it produces crisp, clear, gorgeous pages. I’ve had it for less than a week, have spent hours on the phone with customer service and am unable to use it until a part arrives which could take up to 3 weeks. There is no guarantee that it will fix the problem.
You are required to use the HP virtual assistant to try to get help. It has a major issue that has resulted in cyber security issues. Reaching customer service is difficult and time consuming. I do not recommend this printer.

We’ve done inkjet, no cartridge eco-jet, all of them, and were always disappointed in how long the cartridges last and the quality if we had not printed anything in a while. We finally broke down and got a color laser printer, and it is superb! Still on the introductory cartridges (we don’t print a ton of things), and still perfect quality. Worth every penny.

I placed an order for this printer. It was never delivered. The delivery service that Best Buy used, something called “Roadie,” never delivered the printer and initiated a return on my behalf. I reached out to Best Buy Customer Service to let them know about the problem. After 30 minutes on the phone and being transferred to 4 different representatives, I was told the only thing that could be done was to create a new order. Since the printer was no longer on sale, the representative said he would put me on a brief hold, so that he could create an invoice to honor the price that I originally paid. During the hold, the customer service representative hung up, and did not call back.
At this point, even if Best Buy would honor the sale price I initially paid for the printer that they never delivered, I would still have reservations about making a purchase from Best Buy given how awful the customer service experience was.
I still need this printer, but I will not be purchasing it from Best Buy. I doubt I will make any future purchases from Best Buy either.

So far so good. I own a candle business and finally decided it was time to invest in a printer so I could print my own labels. I was tired of spending money with Avery to print my labels. This printer was a little intimidating at first. But it was so easy to set up. I connected it to Wi-Fi with no problem. I gave it 4 starts because when I printed a few test labels, the colors didn’t come out right. Brown looked black and the shade of purple I used looked royal blue. Not sure if this is user error but I need to read up on this to make sure I’m printing correctly.
Overall, I really like this printer and I absolutely love that I can print wirelessly. I do recommend.

I have owned the HP LaserJet Pro M283fdw printer for over six months. It has performed flawlessly. Today was the first time I was notified that one of the cartridges was low. I knew that the original cartridges were not large capacity. I knew the cartridges were expensive. Despite the cost of cartridges I believe this printer is a better choice for me than inkjet printers. I have owned two inkjet printers with ink tanks to reduce the cost of supplies. Both of those printers developed issues within six months. So I have two useless inkjet printers in the basement. Getting a color laserjet eliminates the problem of the print jets clogging. I will gladly pay more to have a reliable color printer that I don’t have to worry about the ink drying out.

I just purchased and started using the printer. It does a wonderful job. It was easy to set up but I recommend verifying whether multiple drivers were installed. I followed the instructions and that installed the printer specific driver, and the computer (Windows based in a docking station) also installed a set of drivers for the printer series. I discovered after a bit that it started adding some additional pages of different syntax, etc. after each document I submitted for printing. I went through the connection services on the app and within a few minutes HP called me and in a very short time identified the cause as the 2 drivers. We got the generic printer series drivers the computer pulled removed and confirmed the printer specific drivers were present. It has been printing great ever since. Color printing is awesome, the scan feature is really easy to use and then save the document to the computer. Overall I am very pleased with this printer.
I thought I should add that the printer is currently on sale at BestBuy. I paid full price a week ago, noticed the price drop and via the BestBuy App chat was able to communicate with an agent and within a few minutes BestBuy refunded the difference. That was super easy. They have been wonderful to work with as has HP.
