EricS –
Not bad. Needs some “breaking in.” Don’t forget to download HP Smart as it allows for mobile faxing.
JohnR –
Buyer beware. This is the WORST printer I have ever owned. Constantly JAMS. I have used more paper in this printer clearing out jams and throwing them away than what I have actually printed. I don’t print that much. Have actually had this printer only 1 year and am only on my 2nd ink cartridge, and about to trash it. I literally cannot print anything without it jamming. I have looked at how to clean rollers and researched about this one jamming, and done all that. Just a waste of time.
If you buy it like I did because it seems to have good reviews, don’t say you weren’t warned.
satakarni –
Dont buy it. Waste of time. Doesn’t connect to the printer from windows system. tried multiple times.
ElectricEarl –
I bought this as a replacement for an HP Envy 5660, which lasted SIX YEARS before print quality degraded enough that I gave up on it. The 7855 printer seems to be pretty much a newer version of the 5660 printer.
Looking back at my records, I was shocked to find that this 7855 model cost more than three times as much as the 5660 model. And now, less than two years after purchase, print quality is already bad enough that I’m planning to buy another printer. And it will not be an HP. I have an HP computer and monitor that I am totally happy with, but I will never again buy an HP printer.
About the print quality, often there are streaks or spots. Researching the issue, I see extended instructions on how to clean the print nozzles, etc. NO! NO! NO! I am not HP’s unpaid repair technician.
I am glad that this product is out of stock, or possibly discontinued. IT IS A LEMON. It is the Yugo of printers.

This printer fax a little slow but it’s a great printer . The ink last long and print great quality images .
Katy –
I love my HP ENVY photo printer. I have had it for almost 2 years and have never had any issues with it.
Gayadeen –
It works great aside from thing, the black ink it suddenly stopped printing clearly. The color ink is perfect, and the photo printing is excellent! The detail looks professional. On top of a great printer, I now have a copier, scanner and a fax. And I don’t need a landslide to fax either, I can do it with my cell.
Love this!!!
NinjaMouse –
Easy to use and setup! I love the bluetooth feature! I can print easily through wifi from my phone or laptop. Option to print pictures on photo paper is awesome. Scanner is easy to use as well.
cjcj –
So far this printer is doing a great job. Hopefully it will last longer than my last one did.
JettaW –
It works great until the warranty runs out, and then all of a sudden I start having problems. I think this is intentional.
Angie –
its no for business. its more of a home office or just normal home.
FirstFreightLines –
Seems to do good. Faie price. Works as expected…
AprilC –
Good printer and easy to install. Replacing ink cartridges is a breeze! Highly recommend this printer.
frankputz3 –
This wireless printer works well and I like the ability to print from my phone.
Only problem is that the drivers seem to need continual updates
Buckly –
I purchased this to use as my primary printer. I travel a lot and actual take it with me. Easy to setup and use excellent quality and size.
NancysC –
Extremely pleased with all the features on this project’s ability to do many things

Mathewstreet –
Great printer and easy setup it does everything I need
Kevin –
It’s an amazing printer that meets all my needs, it can print anything including photos! I love it so much, I’ve had it for five years and it still works great, great product.
KathyV –
Really loved this printer while it worked but it hasn’t worked for over a year now properly. It suddenly stopped reading the black ink. I bought tons of new cartridges and cleaned the back of the strip where it reads like troubleshooting said but have never been able to get it to work. So I just print with color ink only. Expensive printer to have stopped working and of course it was pretty soon after the warranty was up
NicholasM –
Good printer. Sometimes can be difficult to get phone to connect.
BelindaE –
Great printer for an affordable price. Great quality pictures with their hp glossy photos as well.
Jaci –
Had my printer for 2 years already and it messes up with Amazon card stock and smears my photos when I’m printing a lot.
Chubbydawg –
I’m not too crazy about this printer although the rivers were high. It seems to always go offline and I have problems almost every time I want to print something.
RR143 –
Bought it during pandemic since I had to work from home alot. It did its job. I printed from my phone alot.
Lisaj –
Love this printer, copier and scanner. Print quality is excellent. I’ve scanned many old family photos using a high resolution option. Thus is an easy to use hight quality printer.
SusanR –
I love my printer!!! I would buy it again! I’m trying to find one for my teacher friend, but this printer isn’t made anymore.
KevinS –
Great printer and great quality.
East to set up bus wifi
LeslieK –
This printer works great with my laptop. Easy to use. Fast printing and good color print.
RandyC –
I really like this printer, ive already had it for awhile but it has not given me any problems and the printing is excellent and.
KarlaM –
It worked great while it lasted.. scanning was super easy and I like the HP ink program it offers. That way you’re never out of ink.. but it stopped scanning through the feeder and had to take it back after 4 yrs. Good thing I had 5yr warranty on it.. 🙂
RaymondA –
Prepare to buy a lot of ink! It prints quality photos and text.
HappyCustomer –
Constantly malfunctioned and never operated properly.
Dana –
Ok printer… i didnt use it much so maybe thats why i always had problems with it. Ended up breaking on me.
RonC –
When it works, it prints just fine. Good color matching. However, when it locks up, there ain’t no fixing. No hard reset capability. This is the second HP printer to do this, May need to switch brands.
LWatson –
Great printer for everyday use. It also scans and copies well too. I use it regularly for work and personal use. Even printed some nice pictures on picture paper. Love it!
DavidM –
JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Broke and had to be replaced after 100 pages and 3 sets of cartridges!!!!!!!!!!
AnnaM –
Works perfectly every time and is easy to set up. Recommend.
ChristyS –
It prints great, pictures print out amazing, and I love the subscription service. I just hate how often it has communication issues whether it be the Bluetooth or the wifi…
Farmgirl –
I have used this for a few months now. it works well and using HP ink it does an excellent job. I would recommend it highly
Tool –
The HP ENVY Photo 7855 is a top-notch choice for anyone seeking a reliable, high-quality printer. Its wireless capabilities make printing a breeze from any device, while the instant ink readiness ensures you’re never caught off guard when you need to print something urgently. The print quality is exceptional, delivering vivid, crisp photos and documents. The versatility of an all-in-one printer combined with its user-friendly interface makes it a fantastic addition to any home or office setup.
MelissaR –
This has been a good printer so far. Like most HPs I had to reconnect for wireless printing but only once.
AmandaN –
This printer has worked great for me. I use it to print photos, marketing material (small business) and for school assignments.
AlexH –
would not recommend. Printer constantly had issues, and used more ink that it should. Completely stopped working after half a year and performed poorly up till that point
SandraM –
I love it. I can print right from my cellphone which is incredibly convenient.
LSGaile –
This is my 2nd HP Envy printer. I really enjoyed how much I could do with the 1st one that I decided, when that one finally “wore out,” that I would get the exact same model. I enjoy the versatility of the printing functions – paper or pictures, newsletters, homemade cards, etc., as well as all the scanning I have to accomplish. Those are only some of the things this thing is capable of.
LindsayC –
I liked the instant ink, but this is my second hp printer. They struggle with pulling the photo paper through and when it does finally work, the pictures are smudgy or look zoomed in. It’s easier just to send the photos to Walgreens and pick them up without dealing with printing frustration. The printer also took forever to come back to life after going into sleep mode. I’m not a fan.
