    HP XL cartridges are original cartridges for HP printers and in my experience can be trusted more than the off brand recycled cartridges. The XL indicates that they will print much longer than the standard cartridge.

    There’s not that much to say. It’s ink, but importantly, it’s the manufacturer’s ink. If you try third party brands, they may work for you, or not… Choose accordingly. In our experiences across several decades and many printers, we now choose to stick with the OEM ink. Given that almost every ink we’ve ever used has not lasted as many pages as expected (but we are a low use household) this works and tends to most reliably do the job.

    I have purchased these for years. Just bought my 3rd printer that uses these and have never been dissatisfied.

    Good when the printer recognizes it as an authentic HP cartridge. This is frequently problematic and doesn’t appear to be a printer issue, rather a cartridge issue as the cartridges have been tried in three different printers with same issue. Ink levels are not always appropriately registered either. Expensive.
