    This can opener is just what I needed. It is large, but light weight, it can handle different size cans and even can open obstinate, dented cans. It has a marvelous magnet that holds onto the top in a terrific grip. You do have to be careful of the sharp edges of the opened can, but it is an electric can opener and you don’t have to worry about batteries! I am very pleased with it.

    Good can opener for the most part. The blade sometimes gets stuck but re-clamping fixes it. Importantly, it works well for those of us who don’t have the grip strength to use a manual opener.

    This Hamilton Beach can opener replaced a manual, hand-held can opener that had become extremely difficult to use – ouch.
    The Hamilton Beach is well-designed, functions with ease, and provides an adjustable-length cord. We especially like the push button that allows you to remove the cutting assembly for cleaning. Last but not least – IT’S RED and it matches our coca-cola-red 50’s-style kitchen perfectly.

    Cheap and doesn’t work very well. You should pass on this. Doesn’t have enough magnetic strength to hold onto the lid.

    I am thoroughly enjoying using this can opener. I had been using a very good electric can opener that we had received for our wedding. The appliance lasted in good stead for 49 years! After it finally stopped working, more than 8 months ago, we relied on manual opener. My husband and I at last said we’d had enough of the manual one. More than once I ended up cutting my fingers with it. I looked for a very long time for a replacement for the electric one, I had just about given up my search when a truly helpful young woman at the Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, store told me she could order one through Best Buy for me. (Of course, I paid for the appliance! ) The opener arrived at our home a few days later. What a pleasure it now is to once again have a working electric can opener. Not only does it work, but it works excellently. Thank you, Best Buy!
