I really like this dehydrator. One of my favorite things about it is the shape- fits in my cupboard nicely…
Snoopy –
Is great for starting out. Really like and easy to use.

received my purchase in only a couple of days.product is wellmade.like the fact that the bottom tray will catch drippings instead of dripping on the counter

This is my first dehydrator and while I am still getting the hang of using the item to its fullest potential, I can certainly assert that I am pleased with my purchase. After doing some research I knew digital controls were a must to ensure the temperature was correct. I originally thought five trays might be a bit excessive for my needs but, as it turns out, having the additional space is fantastic, if not necessary! And I love the tray accessories. Finally, I have to mention how pleased I am with the item being cool to the touch during use. As a klutz with a smaller kitchen, this could potentially be a lifesaver. (Literally.) My only problem is making sure the dried mango makes it from the dehydrator to a container without interference from my mouth.
For my purchase, Best Buy provided me with a price match to Amazon.com, which made this deal even better!

This is the perfect dehydrator. Easy to use. Love it!

This is a great product. I’m very happy with my purchase. We chose this model for the auto shut-off feature, and it has come in handy. It is very easy to use and comes with a time/temp guide in the manual.

I love my new dehydrator! It’s easy to use and stores easily. I dehydrated many different things and they all came out perfect! I am going to purchase another for a gift 🙂

Dehydrstor works extremely well. Have five layers, but you don’t have to use all of them. The only downside is that it’s a little big for a kitchen with small counter space, but other than that it works wonders.

I bought this Hamilton Beach dehydrator to preserve my organic produce from my backyard garden/orchard and, with grocery produce that are on sale. Tried making kale chips the first time and it turned out very crisp. Also made carrot, banana and mango chips but they turned out a bit chewy. Still experimenting to find the ideal temperature and drying time for each produce/combination.
I do not intend to make meat jerky since hand cleaning the trays take time, besides you don’t want cross contamination.
Would have given it 5 stars if not for the noticeable noise of the fan motor.

Nice unit. You’re able to easily and efficiently dehydrate your food and it cleans very well
Smcm –
Great product but a little noisey. If yoir looking to do a lot you need a bigger machine
fbrock –
Takes too long to dehydrate. But it does work…..
CCAHILL –
Looks good, read a lot of reviews on this model and can’t wait to try it.

The dehydrator works as stated. I’ve had it for a month and have made dried fruit and beef jerky. Both come out great but you do have to follow the directions in the manual. Would have given it 5 stars except it is a bit noisy. Note: I had an issue with the delivery (not caused by best buy) and when I called best buy the customer service rep was beyond accommodating no questions asked just sent another one out quickly. Best Buy is now my number one place to shop because of that.

Works as expected… Haven’t used it too much yet but it’s good.
FootballMom –
Crispy, tasty kale and sweet potato chips…who could ask for anything more! Looking forward to making jerky and fruit roll ups. Definitely worth the money.

This was not the cheapest dehydrator available, but the cheapest with 500W power. This is the minimum you need to really make the process efficient, so I think it is still a good deal. Its design and functionality rivals some of the more expensive brands and it is an improvement over the Cuisinart I used to own. In this one, the trays do not need to be rotated to dry uniformly. The design is based on the central “column” which distributes hot air into each tray. I dried apples according to the manual (135F, sliced, 12h) and it worked. They were chewy, but it is how I like them. They may get crispier after longer drying, but it is not a freeze dryer, so they will never be powdery-dry like the crispy freeze-dried fruit sold commercially. The base does get warm, but not hot. It is not too loud (Cuisinart was much louder). To me it sounds like a cooling fan in the old desktop computer. I also like the rectangular design – much easier to fit on a typical countertop and take advantage of the space. Only the digital display is funky. When the machine is on the countertop and you are standing and looking at the display, you see 188. You have to look at it straight up front to see the actual number. I also wish the trays had translucent sides to see the progress of drying on different trays. And I hope it does not die on me when it is time to dry persimmons…

Hydrator is great for jerky as well fruits and vegetables.
ChickieT –
This dehydrator works great and faster than my previous one in the same size. It is compact and can fit about 4lbs of sliced chicken. I dehydrated it for dog snacks. My other brand dehydrator was silent so you only knew it was on by feeling the air come out the top. This one is loud in comparison, but works great. Great machine for the price!
Chogobo –
Works great, albeit a little noisy. Followed directions from manual and fruit was ready in 8-12hr!
Resh –
I was excited to purchase a dehydrator but it’s capacity is not worth purchasing in my opinion. It’s siting in my garage ready to be donated.
Melanie –
First time trying a dehydrator, and we have been experimenting for a while. Have made some great beef jerky and dried chilies.
T85Alpha30 –
Great dehydrator. I should have bought one earlier. I use this to make chicken jerky for my dog.
Mycoluv –
Works great! I dry everything I get my hands on now! You can set a timer plus adjustable heat. 100-160
MikeSL123 –
I can not tell you how great this food dehydrator is! It used to take me up to a month to dry chilis. Now it only takes days. You can make jerky, fruit roll ups, anything with this dehydrator, it comes with all treys needed! Great Value!
Bacie –
I’ve only used it once so far to dry canned pineapple. So much fun! Looking forward to using it once my garden gets going this year!
cmichael1279 –
This dehydrator is easy to use and has plenty of space on the trays. Everything we made so far is delicious! Lots of recipes are included, but you’ll be able to find more online.
jc34 –
Bought it to make beef jerky and it works great, will be testing out on fruit soon
Sailawaygirl –
I’ve enjoyed dehydrating with this appliance. The only reason for the 4 star rating is because it takes quite a bit longer to dehydrate anything. I’ve had to add 2-4 hours beyond the included guidelines to get foods fully dry. Want to keep future purchasers from having to stay up until 3am and looking a little dehydrated themselves:)
Paris –
We tried it a few times, will definitely use it for more I n the near future.
Claudia –
The dehydrator is rectangle great for storing and doing rows of beef jerky
