I used this to make fried chicken (15 minutes) and fried wings. Both came out pretty darn good. Definitely the fried chicken, I think 15 minutes for the wings was too long.
Next, I will try fried catfish – I love catfish, so it’ll be great to try it!

This deep fryer is very big and is perfect when frying for a family of 4. The oil heats up nice in about 15 minutes on temp of 375. It fits about 3 catfish filets at one time.

The electrical cord could be a tad longer but I understand that it is shorter for safety reasons. It heats up quickly and then fries whatever you put in it. Heat seems even and consistent.
I do not deep fry often so I cannot say how it will hold up over time but i am happy with the purchase.

Mines never heated up. Got a replacement from Bestbuy. After getting it never used it till ladt week, sure nuff it never heated up again. Checked it myself to find out that there is a reset button in the back that keeps going out. Very disappointed again. Tried calling Hamilton beach with no results. Dont buy it .

This fryer works really good. It seems to heat up real fast and Cooks the food thoroughly and evenly. The only concern I have with it is how hot the outside stays. I know it’s a fryer and the oil gets hot but it seems to take a longer time for the metal to cool down and I store it towards the back of my counter. I can’t have anything else touching it for a while due to how hot it is. That is one minor gripe considering I love everything else about it. I’ve only had it for a few months and maybe cooked on it four or five times but it’s worked out great.

This is the biggest one you can buy and serves its purpose. It is not easy to clean and it does not comes with filter. If you are willing to change oil after some frying, this is a great kitchen gadget.

The pan is deep and wide, I like that a lot for monte Cristo sandwiches and beer battered fish. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it does not have a carbon filter like my last fryer, and it only comes with one bid basket not two small and one large.
Disappointed –
Nice big hopper for wings, tempura, and whatever else you wish to fry. I used 1 gallon of Peanut oil and had the best tasting and crispy fries that I’ve had in ages.
