    I’m traveling internationally a lot and love the Fi service – it’s easy to connect to a network once I land at the airport, and I had no issues with staying connected, calling, or sending texts/videos when abroad. The price point is competitive and customer support is there when I needed it. Highly recommended!

    The hotspot tethering is amazing especially when going abroad, so you don’t have to rely on spotty and insecure public wifis. Price is not inexpensive but totally worth the money.

    I got this plan directly from the Google Store’s site but because it is now available at Best Buy, I am so stoked! Google Fi Unlimited Plus was (and probably stiill is and will only be) the only plan that has FREE data sims that are incredibly useful. The coverage, the customer service, and of course the price of the plan are what you would expect from one of the world’s largest and most innovative companies.

    Those data sims though… definitely worth a google search so you too can see the potential and uses these can have, and you get 5 free data sims for FREE!

    This is one of the best kept secrets in any phone plan I have ever heard of!

    terrible. I spent $80 on two SIM cards and GoogleFi should be perfecting vbefore moving on. If youo need customer service, Google FI puts you thru a series of questions beore you can get a human being. i would like BEST BUY to refun my purchase

    I planned on using this internationally as it says it will work in 200+ countries, but when I got there, it didn’t work. I couldn’t activate it internationally; The attempted port was enough to screw up my phone line for another few days. And trying to port my number back to a normal carrier became a nightmare. I wasted countless hours on the line with Google support and T-mobile just trying to get my number that somehow ended up in the graveyard(recycle bin of phone numbers). I would avoid this if you use iPhone and I would advise activating it on a separate phone with a whole new number. Otherwise, headaches will ensue. I was left with countless hours of lost time and 250+ dollars for the three lines I purchased. Not to mention it doesn’t support( 5g) on iPhone. Nothing like being in a new country and your phone not working…

    I found it disappointing that just like other services google fi is the same and it’s not unlimited if you’re not in airplane mode and connected to Wi-Fi. You still get extra charges for calling and I also had problems in that the service didn’t work at all overseas until I was connected to wifi even though my use overseas was on. Over all hard to use, seemed very useless in certain countries and hate the extra charges.

    I used this google fi prepaid for my trip to jamaica. It worked well the whole time. Just had to be activated a few days before.

    Didnt work was already expired. Had to call company while im in Australia very frustrating.

    Consider other option if you are traveling. Phone calls and texting worked fine but data stopped working after a week. Talked to Google Support no one was able to help. I spend too much money to get unlimited data but it stopped working after one week.

    The way to go for international travel. I purchased this the first time visiting the EU. Was key translating on the fly with the unlimited data! Purchased a month for my daughter while she visits Mexico with mom. I feel it is worth the money to stay in touch with her and she has unlimited tether (50gb) for the month!

    If you plan to get Fi, just get the sim ordered directly from Google. I thought it would be easy to get it at best buy and get it activated on a Pixel phone. Nope. As soon as I opened the card, it showed an “activate by” date in the past. I followed through the process, and unfortunately Google charged me $65 in addition to the $65 i paid at bestbuy.

    Don’t be misled by this plan. If you’re looking for a plan to call home to the US unlimited, this is not the plan for you. You can only call TO OTHER countries not call to the US. So if you’re going abroad, calling home to the US it is not part of the unlimited calls instead you get charged. Also you have to set the plan up BEFORE you leave the US because it has to authenticate that you’re from the US or it doesn’t work.

    I’ve been loving google fi ever since I switched. Kind of hard to get activated but once it’s setup it’s great. Runs on TMobile and can use US Cellular if that signal is stronger then the TMobile. Im told it switches quickly and seamlessly between the two carriers if that helps.

    This is not a pre-paid sim card like normally you would expect. It basically ask you to sign up a new plan, and you’ll be billed another $65 + tax again 2 days later (even you paid tax at Best Buy). The card did show “activated by” a PAST date, but it seems not an issue, you can still activate, except got billed again. Now, the customer service rep assured me I will get my best buy credit back immediately, the bill did not reflect that. The email support was telling a different story, the latest is telling me I can get in next month’s billing… still trying to resolve that issue…

    I received an expired sim kit, too. It indicates ‘activate by 10/11/2022’. I contacted Google Fi customer center but they don’t have no idea about the situation at all. The rep told me that they had no promotion with Bestbuy. I will return the sim to a nearby store tomorrow but am worrying if they won’t accept the return.

    Bought this to switch from Mint Mobile as it was on sale from the usual $65 a month to $46. The sim would not activate once inserted in my Google Pixel 7 Pro. Tried to figure it out for about 20 mins until i noticed the sim had an expiration date of 10/11/2022. Took it back to best buy to exchange for another sim kit but they didnt have any more in stock. Ended up getting a refund instead. I ended up paying the $65 on the google fi website and it activated with an eSim with no problem. The sim kits in store may all be old kits that dont work, hence the sale pricing. If you purchase a sim kit in store, ask the best buy rep to open the sim kit prior to purchase. That way you can verify the expiration date before you spend your money.

    The card was already expired and then i couldnt return it after my trip. Waste of money. Order from google fi directly instead of ordering this card from Best Buy. Also it took Google two weeks to figure the problem out.

    Misrepresented as advertised, instead of purchasing the card with one month’s of $65 credit, I’m now being double charged because as the service agent claimed they have changed their policy, but haven’t bothered to change their packaging. Originally had a previous SIM card from Google Fi that stopped working and wouldn’t activate, so purchased this new one at the price and still couldn’t activate it, packaging had a 2022 date on it. Contacted customer support initially to get it activated and to ensure I wouldn’t be charged again because they asked to reactivate the account which required another SIM card order. After a week of use, the account billing didn’t update and was being charged another $65 so contacted customer support where I was told that their terms had changed and that returning customers aren’t given the $65 credit that should come with the card when purchased. Customer support provided no assistance in clarifying why their outdated packaging is misrepresenting the terms. So I’m now having to pay $130 for one month’s of service due to misrepresentation of service on this packaging and lack of clarification from the customer service agent when setting up the product.

    I purchased this in Nov 2023 for travel. When i opened it, it says activate by sept 2022. Going to return it to bestbuy and i’ll just buy from local countries or my current carrier.
